Fell in love with the first BMW I took for a test drive 12 years ago, an e39, and just upgraded to an e60. I will forever put my ass in a BMW. Absolutely the ultimate driving machine
Lol cause he's telling the truth. I've talked to plenty of mechanics that hate these cars, let's not act like everyone wants a car they have to constantly dump money into. Hey this roof isn't a bad roof, you just have to do work on it every year while your neighbour has one that doesn't need any work for 10 years. I think the neighbor has the better roof lol.
I meant a lot of people bro in general most people who say that about these are old old people on UA-cam I’m probably the youngest in this game doing this
Scotty kilmer rev up your engine and short video on parts, you cant see how to fix anything on your car just because he cuts his video 😑cant see everything properly
BMW Doctor Yeah that is true. It seems tho the diesels are much less problematic than the gasolines.. You can find a lot of them with high miles. Just change some thermostats every 100.000kms and the turbo after 250.000kms and it will run forever. And the oil ofc. 😛
Juha Mäntysaari yeah man the diesels are solid but ALOT of people and I mean a lot still don’t even know how they work and it’s shocking and computer problems when modules go down FORGET IT that’s another world
I love my 2009 e60 550i m-sport with 160k mile and because of your videos, I was able to update my DME and EGS, to fix my rough 2-1 shifts and it worked. Thank you!
😂😂😂 that’s exactly what you need to do As I always say you can own one of these no problem but make sure you have another 2 cars spare incase this is off the road OR you just buy one and overhaul it completely and make it last another 100k with no issues but the only way to do that is to use bmw dealer parts
walkwitmeh427 I think it's just shit how these cars need constant repairs and attention. I myself have an e39, there may not be bad cars, but they are too old, not to have constant problems. Sick of it.
I owned an E60 550i a few years ago and definitely learned the hard way. Things that I should’ve looked out for which seemed common on these cars were faulty transmissions (usually just needing fluid change and most likely sleeves) as well as AND MOST IMPORTANTLY the replacing of the valve guide seals. I had to sell it because of the high cost of the repair of the valve guide seals ($2,400) but bought one just today again because of how much I missed it. Compared to my E30, of course it’s more “problematic” and difficult to work on but it’s not impossible. Don’t get scarred of getting your hands dirty. Ask for help, research, do what you have to do to get your car in shape. It’ll pay off!
Once you try the pleasure of driving a BMW there's no coming back from that, and in order to keep enjoying it one has to learn more about them. It's more of a lifestyle now rather than just a car ownership. Big thumbs up for this positive video ❤️
That's how it feels. Even though i didn't believe in having boring cars before i bought a BMW. Even though I heard the BMW stories it seemed like a natural progression for me to buy one.
I agree with you. The E60/61 has a very bad reputation for reliability issues. Most of it is because they are very advanced for their time, and people don't understand the technology and the mechanical side that went into this car when BMW brought this car out. When it came out it also was thought that it was a very unlikely ugly BMW. A friend of mine recently bought one, a "07 E60 530i executive , and had a lot of fault codes/errors/technical issues. It was a long proces of investigating and diagnosing, eventually we got everything fixed. It was well worth the hassle. it runs and drives like a swiss watch without all the christmas lights on the dash. 3 year further with regular maintenance the bmw service book recommend. No issues, total reliable
People say the same thing about my Land Rover Discovery. They are rubbish, they break ,they are unreliable, they blow up as soon as you turn the key. Its all b0ll0cks! my Discovery 3 has been fine, why? because when it throws an error code I read it, then fix the problem! Like BMW - with Land Rover its all about MAINTENANCE and buying proper parts not cheap crap!!! just maintain it when it needs it. Its not rocket science. I love the E60 and always will and I will definitely not be put off by what people say. I love this video mate, keep up the good work :-)
A friend just offered me his (to by). He likes to work on cars and has computers etc and has taken good care if it - it has needed it. You and this video just convinced me to run as fast as possible from the car. Thank you.
My wife love's her 525d LCI E61. Fits the kids, shopping, tows the trailer, so bloody reliable, bomb proof engine. They don't rust, accelerates with authority even with a tonne in the trailer. Best car we have owned touch wood and wouldn't swap it for anything. Don't be scared of them.
Just bought a 2008 535d Msport e61 and was met with SO much scaremongering.. thank you for this video, and totally agree. I am not the kind of bloke to just allow a problem to exist and I am keen to learn everything about this motor because I would rather maintain it than drive some French toy car or something with nothing about it for the same price! Great vid
Hell ya brother! Glad I found your channel! Found a mint 1 owner (50 year old lady) 09 528i sport with 97k miles. Super clean and dealer maintained, can’t wait to start digging in!
Initially, was looking hard at a 2011 e90 335 but have a local one owner clean e60 with 100k.. decisions , decisions.. this video and channel is a Godsend… many thanks from Texas
Love my 2005, 523i , maintained ,180k and she runs ,and runs, and runs......and jes diagnose and mechanical knowledge is a must. Great video as always ;)
I'm a chevy guy never really cared for bmw. That said i just bought an 07 530xi for the winter and have to say I'm starting to appreciate the car as i tear into it. Your videos are very informative good job
Ive just put a deposit on an 2009 e60 fsh 106k. Its going to be my 4th bmw and i taught myself the diagnostics years back when i had my first e46. I take pride in being able to maintain them myself. Nice to see someone who knows what there on about 👍
I have to agree that these cars get a pretty bad rap, unfairly at that. I'm impressed how well my e60 has held up at 83000 miles. Mechanically sound and Absolutely everything works, comfort seats, sunroof, everything. As you said, this car isn't for everyone but if you are willing to get to know this car and Be realistic about the caliber of vehicle you're getting into with one of these bad boys, you are good to go.
I have an E60 2.0d mapped with dpf removed, egr delete and swirl flaps blanked. Apart from me snapping a glow plug in the block iv never been let down. Just drove 650 miles to Switzerland and returned 55.8 mpg. And that's with some good flat outs on the autobahn 😁😁
Idk if this video helped me or hurt me. Lol. I love your enthusiasm for these cars and you seem like you're pretty knowledgeable and have a good understanding of them. I wish I had more cash and the capability to really understand the computer side of them as well as afford the upkeep.
My friend you said it best when you said that this car is not for everyone. Owning that BMW or any BMW requires a financial commitment that is ongoing once the miles/age stack up on that brilliantly designed vehicle made of all those cheap quality parts start wearing out, it’s going to start costing you more and more money. I don’t have to tell you that they are just pricey but if you’re into that car and that’s what you have to have then you just take care of it by doing the preventative maintenance and fixing the failures when they come. Great video!
If you think the e60 is a cheap built car you've got no idea mate, it's a 5 series bmw diesel the engine and transmission is bulletproof not to mention the interior leather and materials. A lot of engineering had gone into this car but it is certainly not cheap
Well I could have put it in many many other ways but I’m sure I would have started a UA-cam war and been removed from UA-cam quicker then I could blink
I've been offered an E61 520d with about 150K on the clock, a long MoT, leather upholstery and it has just had a new clutch and dual mass flywheel. I already have ISTA and I'm willing and determined to learn. I already have an E36 so I'm no stranger to BMWs. Dean, you are "the man" which is why I'm subscribed to you.
Very well explained mate have one myself 56 plate had more than 3yrs now drives well and very reliable just had my auto gearbox fully service from a Independent BMW specialist apart from that I fully service the car myself every 8k👍
Just last month I upgraded from a vw Passat 1.8 20v turbo to a BMW 530i se 2004 I can say by far the best luxury car I have ever had will be keeping it for a long time
My first and actual car is a bmw e60 from the first year of production: 2003. I can buy a new car for that money, but it's a much better experience, and some people think that is new model. My car is a 530d Manual and current with more than 300K kilometers. only basic maintenance, and everything works like in the day one, sunroof, electric steering rack, confort electric seats with memory, xenon headlights, navigation. thank you for your video. The only electric problem that occurred is with the original Bluetooth module.
I was always an Audi guy. Then I bought a 528xi 2008 with 150k miles. Looked great and I knew i took a chance...now almost at 170k miles and no issues in 3 years I got so confident in these that I bought a 645ci from 2004. After a whole lot of electrical nightmares which got fixed in the warranty that I got with that car used (3 months) it also has become really reliable and I have no regrets buying either of them.
This is totally spot on. I am an Essex man living in US. A lot of Americans think they can drive these cars like a Toyota and never put oil in it. Any decent vehicle that drives as well as these does need regular maintenance. You make a trade; cheap car that is a bore to drive but can be neglected OR more expensive one, which can be driven hard and is awesome to drive. I choose the latter.
That’s correct mate glad a british man is noticing what I’m seeing just here on youtube Good to know your from Essex mate don’t know how you do it over there seriously 😂
BMW Doctor it’s a struggle sometimes! I live in the sticks though, no traffic and common sense for the most part. Our speed limits are 80 in the state I live in, can sit at 86-87 mph without being pulled over and there are zero speed traps. It has its benefits😇.
Well the truth can hurt, no sugar coating here I see...lol I bought my sons 2007 550i M6(Dec 2020) to help him move on to another vehicle. I have had more mechanics some even BMW tell me I'm on a slippery slope to try to keep this going at 188K . Body and interior are in good shape and all the bells and whistles still work that's what makes it so hard to turn it down. Love the power no doubt. Enjoyed your elaboration on the myths and facts of BMW ownership. Currently replacing cam sensors and tires. whether I keep it or not will be determined. I was told these machines are as close as you can get to owning a race car without sponsorship.
5:22 That kind of thinking is the very reason why there are so many issues in this world. People and their mindsets are stuck in a different era, "when times use to be better". Great to recognize this issue is being called out in the car community too.
That’s correct mate I will call anyone out this is what this channel is about if I feel something ain’t right your damn right I will sort out people on here I do not like people giving these cars a bad name and it’s all due to there own self arrogant fault
Unfortunately this mindset is too common...some magazines are still talking about fixing up that 1967 Chevy Nova ot 1987 Ford Mustang...I loved those cars 20 years ago, but honestly, no other cars have been made since then?
@@BMWDoctor So I need your help. Here's what I did. I bought an F10 (US) then I went ahead and bought a non working 2006 530xi and it looks sweet! I would say that because I buy distressed properties and see value. I have gone abs done it with the 530xi. Lady that owned it said it stopped working and didn't know anything about it and sold it. How can I chat with you about it? I need your expertise and your optimism about it. Battery seems okay, but I think maybe computer issue that I'm going is simple coding issue. The car tries to start but doesn't and then I try again and it does nothing. It does say battery low. Where can I start? And not feel like I'm finished before I start. Thanks!
My parents passed me down a 2005 545i with 190k miles and we’re completely giving it the love it deserves in order to bring it back to tip top shape. I’ve loved driving it and simply looking at it. Such a beauty and a an engineering marvel. I hope I find ways to learn more about this car in order to work on it myself. As a first car, I do not want to mess anything up because it can be costly if it is worked on incorrectly
Proud 2nd owner of an E60 545i....... 187000 miles and STILL passes our stringent emissions. I will agree, the car is pretty easy to work on. Just change that oil every 5000 miles, or your seals will dry up.
You are completely correct that is exactly it they are COMPLETELY misunderstood and given a bad name without even TRYING or people even buying them to make videos to just make money off BULLSHIT which ain’t even the truth this symbol and the Name bmw represents more then what people actually know
Go buy one, you will understand them soon enough! You better be rich or know how to work on them. Otherwise, you ll be like most of my clients that can't wait to sell them.
All my homies got bimmers wonderful piece of machinery truly meant for driving!
4 роки тому+1
It is due to the hivemind panic created by the internet. I don't think people realize this but BMWs (as well as Mercs) have always been depicted as reliable cars. ALWAYS.
Hiiii I'm planning to buy 2007 E60 525i looks very good with no issues. Done 122k kilometers. I'm getting it cheap. Wondering if it would be a good idea to proceed with purchase.
So basically they're all broke and need expensive repairs, fuck that for a daily! Was really thinking about a bmw 535d m sport but I don't really wanna have to buy my own workshop to keep it on tye road 🤣
My 04 530i is the best purchase I made in my life. Bought it with 190k on it currently at 340k and climbing. Most reliable car 10x better than my 07 A4 I had.
This car is a toxic girlfriend... its such an amazing car that you wont want to let go even with all the issues.. This car is extremely complicated in electronics...trust me electric issues are infested in this car.... parasitic drainage...sensors..modules.... remain the most unreliable part of it.... the engine is probably one of the best bmw has ever produced, its solid ,reliable ,fast, good gas mileage, the suspension is amazing it habdles like a dream... the tranny is smooth... comfort is sublime.... get a good maintained one and you will score a glory one... otherwise be prepared to spend thousands of dollars along the way if you dont know how to work on them
I have a 530d, its great! Maintenance not cheap, but again, its not for everyone.......... very fun to drive the manual version. And still turns heads after all the years........
Just bought mine 2 months ago 08 550i fully loaded daily drive it 60 miles a day a great piece of machinery! I also got my own Scanner so I don’t have to pay for diagnostics! Great car
I bought a 530d 2009 and I don't want to do anything to the car no mods...nothing! It has 197k Kilometer! It's a daily for me What do you think about the timing chain and the reliability of this engine?
You keep judging someone as dumb who who is like me who works 80+ hours a week and has no time to work on a BMW and fix the plastic parts that break. I buy Lexus because I'm smart and easily able to work on one myself and do most maintenance, but time is money and some things I pay a certified mechanic for, but very rarely through the years need a mechanic. I'm not a subscriber with your obsession of in your video with trying to say several times someone is dumb who doesn't choose a BMW to work on constantly out of all the vehicles in the world. I am happy with my Lexus vehicles and will not lightly let anyone insult me for not having the desire to buy a BMW after the Lexus experience.
I have a 2003 bmw 530i e60. I just do general maintenance and it has 387,000 on the clock and it runs like a dream. You can put a cup of coffee on top of the engine and it won’t shake off. M54b30!
I bought my e60 back in 2006. It was made on 1/04 , one of the first to hit the states. Black on Black 6 speed manual , sport package and all.. It had 42k at the time , today it has 221k. Still the original clutch , it slips but it's still original and can get you around town. Only things I did so far , new alternator , new starter .. Removed the cats , valve cover gasket. The car is still fun to drive from day one. Have a few clips on my channel.
As an e65 owner, I would LOVE if you got one. I have a 2006 740i in Alpine White. I absolutely LOVE IT. I also had to repair all the neglect. Everything is powered and everything that moves, needs lubrication. Nothing was lubricated. All the electrics work.. I am still working though connecting the worm drives. Next thing will be the front seat edge motor, and the rear head rests have some issues, ALL FROM NEGLECT. I agree with you 1000% I will upload some videos of my work soon. Keep up the good work man.
I had a black on black e39, sold it and immediately regretted it. Now I just bought a black on black again E60 and I’m excited to get to know more about it.
535d e61 msport here , remapped to 359bhp , 185,000 miles maintained regardless and runs like new !! Uses no oil , no smoke on startup and does 0-60 in 5 and half seconds . Best car money can buy 👍🏻👍🏻
I found a certified BMW guy when I got my 08 535i and he works out if this run down building but I've never seen anyone know so much about cars, specifically BMW. I have no regrets with mine and I'm at 143,000 miles. Sure I've spent some money on it but nothing crazy.
I love the points that you’re making, because I’m a car guy and I have a 1998 BMW 740IL and my friends make me crazy to sell it or stop fixing it and I could fix the car myself, but I’m thinking now of getting the E60 550i. But you say good, get a good diagnostics tool and don’t be afraid to get in there and figure it out.
I've got a 2008 530d m sport touring, and I love it. There's a approved BMW dealer local to me, it's a good place. They usually deal with any issues I have with it. Although saying that, I'm lucky. I love cars, but open the bonet and I'm useless. I'd just leave it to the mechanic. It's only got 70,000 miles and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it. Thanks for the video, it was a great help!!
I’ve just got into my first BMW e60 520d - went around on the first day I got it and made a list of everything that’s wrong, not loads. Ordered everything and have been fitting it all as it arrives. Will have my I drive working again tomorrow then only thing left will be fix boost leak. Cars mint other than that, interior all perfect condition and a couple of scratches on the body but no rust etc. I fell in love right away, my pal was horrified because the car was dirty and full of rubbish when I bought it. It’s a 2005 got it for 1.6k - 134k miles and tbh I couldn’t ask for more. My wife went away for work for 2 days and come home and I had it on the drive, she wasn’t happy lol
Im an old man and bought a 2008 528i drove it 10k miles no problems till I got a trans fault :P stuck in drive . I found out what was wrong and got it fixed . Now ready for 10k more . :P
Exactly like me then mate and I know exactly that feeling e46 m54 engine is a lot smoother and power comes in so nice compared to n52 complete different machines but both still powerful and put newer cars to shame still to this day
I just brought an E61 M sport business edition 2010 330D with 104k miles first things i did was remove swirl flaps, change crankcase breather full service carried out. Hopefully it's a good one i know something who owns an e92 330D it's been highly neglected but the only thing to fail on it in the three years he's owned it is the starter motor and the headlight has recently become faulty.
Thanks for your enthusiasm, my wife's 56 reg E60 , shes had it since 2009 167k ,not had spanner to it , just done rear wheel bearing , original exhaust , sorry it had crank shaft pulley , stretch bolt very tight . Thanks for your info .
I love the E60. I have a 2008 550i N62 V8 sports with diana exhaust exhust. Sounds like a beast!! Goina put a custom tune on it in a few weeks. Had the car for almost 4 years now and i love it!!! Everyone dont believe me when I say its a 2008.
I bought E60 525i in 2021. Spent lots of money then oil leak started in head gasket got rid of that. Bought E60 530i a few months ago. Starter motor gone. Now headlights stopped working. These cars are trouble but nice to drive
Cheers mate lol I’m about the only realest on UA-cam don’t worry about it mate I think everyone knows that most are scared to open there mouth and say anything in case of a comeback I hope for a comeback lol😂😂😂
Did the exact same thing today with an e60 I'm kinda worried. Just 1 day driving and love the way it looks and the way it handles just a beast. Hope everything goes well.
@@MrMardukbaal as long as you look after it , I don't think it should cause u any problems , I've still got mine and just serviced it , the engine sounds so smooth and it's a nice relaxing drive , plus when I need to go abit fast I can ...
Holy bananas Batman, we have the exact same car, exterior interior finish, M sports package including suspension. Only difference is the engine, mine is an M57. Nice vid mate.
Thanks for the persuasion. I love to do all that stuff myself. Unfortunately my wife and many kids will need my time and won't have the time for it. Can't afford to be left on the side of the road. I can fix it myself but don't want the inconvenience. As you mentioned it can't drive 1000 or 2000 KMs without any problems and to prepare for problems. That's rooted. You also mentioned your car runs perfectly and you can't find another one like it. Well if there isn't another reliable one, why would you want to get into it?
Bang on the money Dean, BMW e60 styling will not go out of date for years to come. Fully executed video, rest assured people keep your e60s era as the new cars have become more complex and computer controlled, when they go wrong expect big bills. Dealerships will be awaiting with open arms to take your money (and that's the idea behind the plan) because, your average Joes will not have any idea on how to diagnose/ fix new electrics in modern engines due to their lack of knowledge in terms of electronic systems etc and incompetent apparatus, you will be forced (no option) to take your car to the stealers, this will generate lots of revenue for their business's.
Cheers mate and that’s the whole idea well that was ALWAYS there plan when I was there anyway I remember sometimes they used to tell us to cut the fibre optics cable in the glovebox to cause errors and loss of the idrive and all control units to make more money as it takes a few days after that to cause loss of idrive and all other components on the car

I bought a 2007 550i with 103k miles on it, put about 5k into it for valve seals and oil leaks. traded it in with 252k miles. it was a great car. thirsty!! bur a GREAT car.
@jb It left me stranded with a water hose break and alternator. ( different times) its powerful and eats gas and oil. I really enjoyed the car. THEY LEAK OIL AND COOLANT. be prepared to spend some money at the shop. V8 sounds wonderful. most of my mileage was highway.

How many miles? Mines been fucked with different problems every month
@@ryanschaeffer3384 it has now 320k kilometres on it. bought with 120k kilometres
@@lexburen5932 how many miles do you have on it now?
People say the same thing about my Land Rover Discovery. They are rubbish, they break ,they are unreliable, they blow up as soon as you turn the key. Its all b0ll0cks! my Discovery 3 has been fine, why? because when it throws an error code I read it, then fix the problem! Like BMW - with Land Rover its all about MAINTENANCE and buying proper parts not cheap crap!!! just maintain it when it needs it. Its not rocket science. I love the E60 and always will and I will definitely not be put off by what people say. I love this video mate, keep up the good work :-)
Facts 💯 people neglect their cars and wonder why they are unreliable
A friend just offered me his (to by). He likes to work on cars and has computers etc and has taken good care if it - it has needed it. You and this video just convinced me to run as fast as possible from the car. Thank you.
Yes run run run . These are major lemons 🍋
Recently replaced my W211 E55 AMG with a remapped E60 530d, the handling is deeply impressive and it can do 35 mpg at 100 mph.
I have owned the same e60 over 6 years now. 530i ( N52 ) M-Sport with manual gearbox. Even today, it still makes me smile when im driving it.
Yes sir same for me let’s be happy we can afford it unlike some on here who can only dream but at least they watch and get angry
I very much appreciate how strong you are when you talk and how you don’t tend to mince words.
Great vid
I just got my 2010 e60 550i with the m sport package I can honestly say I love the car for real you’re getting the complete package out of the e60.
I still owned an E60. Spent a bit of money and it runs like nobody's business. Best explanations for us BMW owners and haters out there. Cheers!
Cheers mate
I'm a chevy guy never really cared for bmw. That said i just bought an 07 530xi for the winter and have to say I'm starting to appreciate the car as i tear into it. Your videos are very informative good job
Ive just put a deposit on an 2009 e60 fsh 106k. Its going to be my 4th bmw and i taught myself the diagnostics years back when i had my first e46. I take pride in being able to maintain them myself. Nice to see someone who knows what there on about 👍
that's what this channel is about my friend and what we focus on bmw e60s only and the programming and coding side of things

Ben Tirrell no problem mate
2021👑just bought the e60🥵M5 and still kicks in gud
All u saying is true....keep up the gud work
Love the vid
Got yourself a new sub💯cheers mate
Just got one off my dad with the M package. Love it.
what year is the car? is it a 2007, 2008, 2009 or 2010
I have to agree that these cars get a pretty bad rap, unfairly at that. I'm impressed how well my e60 has held up at 83000 miles. Mechanically sound and Absolutely everything works, comfort seats, sunroof, everything. As you said, this car isn't for everyone but if you are willing to get to know this car and
Be realistic about the caliber of vehicle you're getting into with one of these bad boys, you are good to go.
Mate these cars are perfect and are no trouble anyone who tells you that is full of bullshit
Brother I absolutely love mine! Best car I ever owned.
how many cars have you owned, and what were they?
Same here. Best car I ever owned. I will never find something steering like this with the comfort and looks...
“They haven’t got the brain cells to fix these cars..” I have a 2008 550 and I can absolutely say I love it. Very well put 😂🤣
Well I could have put it in many many other ways but I’m sure I would have started a UA-cam war and been removed from UA-cam quicker then I could blink
Jake Walker I got the 2007 550 with the smg, shits a pain in the ass bro.
ISTA+ is a requirement !!!!
I have an 08 550i as well. Amazing car!!!
Awesome video man! I recently bought a 545i 04 with 15,xxx! A life of babying ahead!
Spot on guy, 320i, 325, 330, 840csi, e46 m3, x5 le man. Every bmw I've personally owned and its an addiction, its a style thing. Great content 👌
Stay away from the N47 engine. It's a disaster.
Find a 525d or a 530d, but the 525d is the sweetspot IMHO.
Very well explained mate have one myself 56 plate had more than 3yrs now drives well and very reliable just had my auto gearbox fully service from a Independent BMW specialist apart from that I fully service the car myself every 8k👍
There you go mate and I do have a passion for E60 out of the lot trust me
Just last month I upgraded from a vw Passat 1.8 20v turbo to a BMW 530i se 2004 I can say by far the best luxury car I have ever had will be keeping it for a long time
My first and actual car is a bmw e60 from the first year of production: 2003.
👏👏👏 Devotion is no joke. Everything you said is correct. If your not prepared to get hands dirty with your BMW, dont bother getting one.👍👑
Excellent info. I had a e46 for 5 years and loved it. Now I have a e92 320i se 2008 in black. Love it.
That’s correct mate glad a british man is noticing what I’m seeing just here on youtube
Good to know your from Essex mate don’t know how you do it over there seriously 😂
What did you have to repair on the car? Currently in the process of looking for a 545i. Need to downgrade due to the damn coronavirus
Proud 2nd owner of an E60 545i....... 187000 miles and STILL passes our stringent emissions. I will agree, the car is pretty easy to work on. Just change that oil every 5000 miles, or your seals will dry up.
Thank you. I’m still in love with my E61.
Since I purchase my firs BMW I'm not driving nothing else!! In currently own 4 of them!! 3- 540 and 0ne 7 series!!!
That’s what I’m saying I love my 09 328xi E90. Just bought an 08 6 speed 535xi that’s beautiful. I love to drive and I Love these cars.
This video is AWESOME!!! Great information as always Dr. Dean.
I always learn something new when I watch. Love my E60. Love your channel. 😍
Cheers mate lol
I want to get into bmws i feel like they are misunderstood
You are completely correct that is exactly it they are COMPLETELY misunderstood and given a bad name without even TRYING or people even buying them to make videos to just make money off BULLSHIT which ain’t even the truth this symbol and the Name bmw represents more then what people actually know
@@BMWDoctor i agree thanks for your reply!!!
Go buy one, you will understand them soon enough! You better be rich or know how to work on them. Otherwise, you ll be like most of my clients that can't wait to sell them.
All my homies got bimmers wonderful piece of machinery truly meant for driving!
It is due to the hivemind panic created by the internet. I don't think people realize this but BMWs (as well as Mercs) have always been depicted as reliable cars. ALWAYS.
I own the 2005 525i and I truly love it, I don't care what people say!!! Thank you for the video and keep up the great work 👍
Glad you enjoy it!
Hiiii I'm planning to buy 2007 E60 525i looks very good with no issues. Done 122k kilometers. I'm getting it cheap. Wondering if it would be a good idea to proceed with purchase.
Nothing beats the beauty of driving a BMW. They require more care and management but it’s worth it. I have a E60
Thanks for sharing
This is straight facts! I have a 2005 530 with over 300,000 miles on it. I’m looking to get a other one soon!
Man u just gave me the best advice of my life..... will try get myself a BMW asap.. Your work is appreciated..Keep it up
This car is a toxic girlfriend... its such an amazing car that you wont want to let go even with all the issues..
It's a daily for me
What do you think about the timing chain and the reliability of this engine?
Hats off to you ! Straight talking genuine guy! Who’s always happy to help .
Agree,my 2008 535d m sport run perfectly,owned for six years no issues,just serviced properly recently refit d p f for mot.
exactly that fella and thats a diesel the ones people say dont last long
I test drove a 2007 550i today, with 90k on it. I fell in love with it before I even hopped in. I’m sold now lol
Thats v8 sound and hits you differently. Its a car I'll keep forever
Ur screwed
Keep up the good work man.
we are getting E65 here trust me but 730D
I had a black on black e39, sold it and immediately regretted it. Now I just bought a black on black again E60 and I’m excited to get to know more about it.
535d e61 msport here , remapped to 359bhp , 185,000 miles maintained regardless and runs like new !! Uses no oil , no smoke on startup and does 0-60 in 5 and half seconds . Best car money can buy 👍🏻👍🏻
Oh , and on top of that , it gets 40mpg combined 😊
I recently bought a BMW 5 SERIES 530i , was a little scared at first but little by little i am managing to fix it
Excellent video mate very good information 👍
Cheers mate always nice to see you comment buddy
I found a certified BMW guy when I got my 08 535i and he works out if this run down building but I've never seen anyone know so much about cars, specifically BMW. I have no regrets with mine and I'm at 143,000 miles. Sure I've spent some money on it but nothing crazy.
this is a very reliable if you can fix it immediately everytime it fails. And it will fail. Nice point :)
Thanks for the video! I have an e36 and a e60 and I love them both in different ways. Viva BMW
My 2007 e60 530d is the perfect car for me ,never let me down and i trash a car, plus its extremely comfortable and the autobox is amazing
I love my e60. Its a 2004, not very fast but it's a manual transmission and I haven't had any problems with it that I couldn't fix
Manual always wins over auto. Congrat
Probably the most sense I have heard in a long time!
Keep up the good work.

I love BMWs my dad had a 2007 530i and that was actually the first car I drove and got my license it is very comfortable nice looking car
Ive had an e60 528xi since 2012 and its been the best car I ever owned. 113k and only major service was Vanos & gaskets.
@@BMWDoctor that's shocking, all in the name of money.
