Thank you for the review. I’m looking to make my Gundam OC’s Custom Zaku I commander and was going to go with the Origins Kit but the lack of a commander antenna was a deal breaker. This kit seems like it still holds up.
Well, if you’re gonna be painting it anyway, you might as well either steal a commander antenna from another kit or find the Builder Parts MS Blade set, which gives you several commander fins to choose from. Just glue em on and you’re done.
I have always preferred the Zaku II, looks wise, but Zaku I has grown on me, and it does have less weighing it down, even if it's canonically slower, too, I think, since I think it has fewer thrusters, but it is going to have an easier time, model mobility-wise. While not all that practical, I kinda like the "Chocobo feet", as Prime92 calls them.
Yeah, you're right. And I'll always love the Zaku II, myself, I think he's got a good balance. Zaku I is neat, but looks kinda like a duck since he doesn't have the armor or tubes balance out that head, and the monoeye is blocked a little, which seems inconvenient.
Do you know if the accessories are any different? I don't have Guntank or Guncannon, and you can never have too many RX-78-2s, so I might get this, if only to save on shipping!
that makes sense, though wouldn't the weight difference be negligible in space? Then the Zaku II would be faster, right? On the surface though, Zaku I might have the edge, even if he sacrifices a lot of armor.
Arrowdodger not really even in zero g weight plays a big part as their is always gravity In some way. Without taking into account micro gravity weight effects acceleration
The Zaku I has already been pre-ordered =3 The Zaku Sniper is a model kit I'll eventually get(as in: I still have a bit of money left that month and it happens to be in stock =P )

The zudah was the best until it blew itself up because it outsped 3 gms and they blew up before the zudah did in ms igloo

Always a fan for the Zaku design, especially the original. Plan on getting two Zaku I for custom shoulders ^_^

I prefer having my Zakus as grunts without the horn unless it's an Ace's custom.

I like non commander type zaku, make it more bad ass for me, but might make commander type maybe if I decide to make a team of zaku lol.

it's a shame this kit doesn't come with a second Shoulderpad, cuz I would totally create a custom based on the Zaku I from Zeonic Front.
You can still do so by buying a second Zaku I, the shoulders can be swapped ;)
