Love your Dad. He's a fix it guy, my Dad was too. You had to be carefull what you mentioned around him or he'd be at your place with his tools the next day, fixing it his way. Repairs or builds were tank proof, every time. The collaboration to makeover this front yard and sidewalks is great. I hope you all felt the blessing.
From having that exact kind of walkway, I can say that it's not 51 years of neglect. 51 years would be under three inches of sod. I could easily believe 15 years, especially if it's a dry area. In Houston, I'd get a buildup like that on our old driveway in about three years, then have to cut the grass back to over the brick (!) with which someone lined the driveway on one side. It's definitely something worth seeing - the massive difference you made. Not just to the resident, but the people around them that walk that sidewalk.

Your videos are so eye-opening & inspiring to so many people. Eye-opening in that maintaining a home is alot of work but worth it & inspiring that it will get people with older homes the desire to make their homes a nice place to live in & see. I can only imagine how dangerous & slippery was that sidewalk & walkway for anyone walking there or coming to the house, not to mention the dirt they were draging into the house with their shoes.

This job looks great! What type of equipment are you using? What’s the PSI and flow of your power washer? it looks like you have a rotary tip on the end of those wands, which ones are they? I have a power washer wand, but its a lot shorter then what you guys are using and I am pretty tall so it kills my back when I use it for an extended time.
