I love how neat and clean edging makes it all look. When I hired a lawn guy, I got six more inches wide on my driveway. Young guy in his twenties paying his way through college. He graduated and kept on mowing!
Why is this called the boring channel? By no means is it boring! I find it very educational. It teaches people how they should keep their yards up, what tools to use and you must have motivation and self pride in your home and neighbourhood. You don’t have to do it all in one day. If it’s too much for your health, go slow. Bit by bit works. Also you show to how to pick up your own garbage, and trim your trees and shrubs , one by one. Then it’s not so hard and you will get it done. Boring…..never. Keep up the good work, Kevin.
I love how code shows up. Every month they try to show up before the lawn company at my house trying to get that money. Thank you for what you do to help your community.
You started something. Since I started watching you, I've seen several other guys doing the same thing. Good job. Many blessings on all of you who are kind hearted and help others!!
What you do for the neighborhoods you work in is wonderful! When properties are left like this, it signals squatters to move in. The problems that can happen after that are terrible. I bet all the neighbors that worry about vacant property’s love to see your truck stop and do this.
I love that you think of the kids walking to school. We never want our children in danger or in a situation where the grass is tall and bad people are attracted to. Thank you so much.

I guess the game plan for someone that wants to do this, would be to start doing it alongside a "feeder" job or whatever you want to call it. Some sort of job that pays enough to do this on the side. Then, as you are able to find ways to pay for more lawn work and the like, you can possibly change the ratio of time put into them. Easier said than done I guess, but when you want to do a thing because it is a passion of yours, then trying to find ways to build up some way to turn it into a living can be very rewarding. It will almost always be a long term commitment and battle, with some luck, but if more people can manage to do jobs that they actually enjoy (barring the, hopefully, obvious things), then I do think that the world would be a better place overall. I'm still trying to find what I enjoy enough to really consider trying to put in that much effort for.

What I like to tell my employees is posters are hung in dorms. Fine art is in mansions, the difference is the frame. Trimming up the edges is that frame.
I simply enjoy making a visual difference. When I was building multi million dollar homes I had subcontracts for everything except plumbing, (which I do with skill), HVAC, and carpet. I loved getting the ICF foundations done. Then you frame a large floor area. Then you throw up the walls. Insulation looks good in the bays and I can install 2 floors of bats from the lower floor where multi story window walls and cathedral ceilings are. Every step provides satisfying visual progress and proves I accomplished good things. I had a rep for A) fixing the impossible, and B) being pretty anal and excellent at finish work. You like the trim, but without the rough stuff done well, it's not at all appreciated. Like lipstick on a pig.

There is a thing that happens when one takes a crap looking lawn and makes it look showroom fresh. It's hard to describe, but it just feels good and right when one does a good job and it looks great at the end. You are doing something important, both for the neighborhood, but for the city and home owner by doing these "charity cuts." I've been watching you and several others doing the same sort of thing and, remembering how good it made me feel when I was able to take care of my own yard, I can only imagine how good you must feel when you've finished a difficult job and it looks good. This is food for the soul and great karma for all of you who do these kinds of things and I thank you for doing it. Well done, young man. Well done indeed.
Kevin you know you're my favorite lawn maintenance channel forever. With that being said, I think you're picking up bad habits from the channels you work with from time to time. Love you Kev!
Even though the service is free, you hold it up to your standards and make it look as good as the paying customers lawn(s) do. I wish that the people in your community (or those communities that you do NOT live in but volunteer your service(s)) would "pass the hat" to get a collection taken on your behalf. Show how much they appreciate you cleaning up their community for them. You could do whatever with the money, but I think it would be nice if the neighbors did something like that for you. I know you DON'T expect it, I would just like to see that happen sometime. Maybe I'm old school, too bad others don't appreciate you as we, your UA-cam community do! Be Blessed!
I want to say thank you ... not just for cutting the grass but mainly for not blowing it out into the street. As a bike rider grass clipping can be like ice especially in a turn. Great job 👍
I always wondered why people do that. Where do they think that stuff is going? My neighbor wasnt going to rake his leaves until he saw the old ladies next door raking what blew into their yard.........
People who think charity just enables those who need it to keep being dependent on it. The "these people should just get off their lazy asses, it shouldn't be up to this guy to clean up their mess" types. Those that are angry that someone could go so long without mowing their lawn. I guess?
What you do means a great deal to, not only the property owner, but also to the neighborhood around the home with the overgrown yard. Thanks for all you do.
I’ve been watching you help people with their lawn for a long time and I just have to say God Bless you for helping those who have just about enough to pay the mortgage, insurance and taxes on their income and are unable to take care of the grounds outside of their home ( I wish you were around here. ) On behalf of a U-tube subscriber Thank you for your kindness and willingness to help those of us who can no longer keep up

for the garbage that you pick up along the way , you should carry plastic grocery bags with you , tie one to your belt loop on your pants to collect garbage instead of filling your hands , then when its full , cut the bag off, tie it up and toss it on site in the cans . just thought it might help .

@@BillColeExperience That surprises me... Though to be honest I don't think they do it because they care.. so much as they don't want the city at THEIR front yard... so they figure if every one else has mowed it must be their turn lol.
they may take care of it for a little while but if you let it get that far, you don't care enough to keep it looking better. He should go back like 3 or 6 months later and see what it looks like.
You never disappoint. Beautiful job. Seems like so many more people are loosing their homes today. Sadly 😥 a fact, but luckily there are good people like yourself out there to help out when the road gets tough. Bless you and your family for all that you do. Pam
I think my favorite part of working on any lawn, especially ones that are overgrown, or have had barely any maintenance done on them , is seeing the sidewalks and curbs emerge from all the grass, weeds and dirt. Even if the lawn is not the best, and has a lot of weeds, just making all the sidewalks and curbs & gutters look nice does a lot for the whole yard and house.
We had one here, fines and everything. Code enforcement even threatened to take the property. When we went to court they were informed that even though the street was in the city limits. It was NOT part of the city. Really pissed them off. No fines and had to repay our court costs.
I heard of a guy who did this once and was rewarded by finding a double homicide in the house when he went to knock on the door. The door opened when he knocked and he went in to see if everything was ok. No one had bothered to check on the elderly couple and their bills were paid automatically out of the bank. Their yard had last been cut before winter so it took months to get high enough for anyone to notice it. Moral of the story: always check on your neighbors.

Grass is ever growing and it's going nowhere lol. Good job security

What you do for the neighborhoods you work in is wonderful! When properties are left like this, it signals squatters to move in. The problems that can happen after that are terrible. I bet all the neighbors that worry about vacant property’s love to see your truck stop and do this.
I always love the sidewalks when you clean up the edges.

Pay it forward. Any time you can do anything to help another that good deed will come back. Millions of ways to help others. In my life i have helped many and many have helped me.
Im just hopping he starts holding edger lower its very dangerous around the ears an head . Heat noise an fuel
He could do it with permission and not record it if he cared. This is because he is lazy, this gets views he doesn't deserve doing work he doesn't have permission to do. It's theft. He is an epic asshole. He claimed yesterday this costs him 2 grand. City would have charged 400-500 on the taxes to clean it up. He can't even do basic math, if he was smart he would just pay the guys fine and clean up bill and have 1k in his pocket.

To me trimming is like the icing and decorations on the cake, it makes everything appealing 👍

The compassion you have is a pleasure to witness 🙏🏻

That's not good. If your more specific I would love the feedback. It only helps me to improve
Be Blessed!

Good morning, my goodness that grass was so tall but you did as always an outstanding job 🙌👏.
Thank you!
We had one here, fines and everything. Code enforcement even threatened to take the property.
When we went to court they were informed that even though the street was in the city limits. It was NOT part of the city.
Really pissed them off. No fines and had to repay our court costs.
Good!😂
Beautiful job!😊
I heard of a guy who did this once and was rewarded by finding a double homicide in the house when he went to knock on the door. The door opened when he knocked and he went in to see if everything was ok.
No one had bothered to check on the elderly couple and their bills were paid automatically out of the bank.
Their yard had last been cut before winter so it took months to get high enough for anyone to notice it.
Moral of the story: always check on your neighbors.
