Ive recently taken a page out of your book, I noticed an elderly lady in my neighbourhood needed help with her property, lawn mowed and 2 full dump trailers later she is very happy! Thanks for the inspiration! Love the content keep it up man
Few years back I moved house and there was a lovely elderly couple next door. You could see that they loved their garden, but over a matter of months the grass started to get longer. Turned out the old boy was ill so one day after I did my lawn I did their, he came out and was upset that I did it, however I persuaded him is was with good intentions. He passed away in the Aug of that year and she employed a gardener to keep on top of it. Roll forward to covid and the gardener stopped coming so I cut the lawn each fortnight whilst she was living with her daughter (for months). Word got to her and she sent me a lovely gift box of wine, chocolates and flowers. She put the house on the market so again, I kept the front and back lawns nice for viewings. I would hope that in the future when I am not around, someone will look after my wifes lawn. It's only a matter of minutes, but the goodwill is priceless.

After putting off trimming the dead branches hanging on my side of a tall wooden fence I finally did it- and saw my neighbor’s courtyard was taken over by ivy and was rapidly filling with autumn leaves. It was an easy decision to go deal with it and her walkway/bushes that were sorely neglected. It was so satisfying to do but I had to stop when I tore up my hands after a few hours. I collected the refuse the next day and took it to collection which is only open one morning per week! I couldn’t do her edging or mowing because I don’t have the equipment- or a garage, but wish I could! Last week she caught me when 😖 I was back again to clean her low gutters. I’d have preferred not to have been discovered, it’s not why I did it. This channel makes me want to walk around my town with a weed eater and a hedge trimmer! Thank you for all you do!

I know my husband and I at a time in our lives had to pick whether we would eat or pay rent. Love this goodwill. I did this when I was a kid. Me and my buddy offered to cut peoples grass for free. We ended up cutting grass for three customers who weren't able to do it themselves. We gained enough customers to make pretty good money from spring to fall for a few years. It makes such a difference for the neighbourhood.

What a beautiful gift! When you're renting, you don't have all the tools needed to maintain and so the labor is much more. Renters cut the grass but don't see the other things that can be done like the tree trimming. How great it will feel for them to pull up and say "that's my home"

Wow! Cheap rent! Up here in Victoria BC Canada, can’t even get a bachelor apartment for that rent. Rent for 1/2 duplex would most likely be approximately $3,000.00! I can’t even find a 1 bedroom, 500 sq ft apartment for less than $1200.00 a month! I’ve had to apply for subsidized housing for seniors. Minimum 2 yr wait list!

Wow! Cheap rent! Up here in Victoria BC Canada, can’t even get a bachelor apartment for that rent. Rent for 1/2 duplex would most likely be approximately $3,000.00! I can’t even find a 1 bedroom, 500 sq ft apartment for less than $1200.00 a month! I’ve had to apply for subsidized housing for seniors. Minimum 2 yr wait list!
