Great video Jake! Your a great inspiration and encoureger to me a many others. As you know I'm in that older generation. Bought 6 acres last year on a mountain and recreating from an urban homesteader to a rural start over all over again in my 60s. Loving it. You gave me advice on my chicken coop flimsy door recently. I could not do everything you suggested but your desire to help me with ideas propelled me to do what I could afford. I'll be updating my chicken run on my channel soon. I completed the coop finally today. Your right Jake. It's not an age related issue, but a Godly thing to be out with Gods creation. To grow food and try as much as possible to be self sustaining. Been only 9 months on the mountain now and excited each day for life.
We raised 3 kids and did a lot of homeschool ourselves back in the 90s and early 2000s. I can relate with what your doing. Very exciting. Take care and God bless. Looking forward to your vids as you do them...
@@sparksfamilyhomestead thanks man I appreciate that. When I started making videos it was really my wife’s idea, but the amount of positive feedback I’m getting from you and others really makes me feel like it’s worthwhile.
I got started down this path because I believe that God intended something like this in the beginning and I wanted to get back to that purpose.

I am homesteading no kids, but much respect for doing all this. You make some good points which makes me think back to good things take time which is a concept I learn more an more in my homesteading journey.
Thanks you for your comment! I think it can be a tough balance with or without kids. Like you said it takes time, definitely not happening over night.
