War & Peace. What a masterpiece. This is the adaptation that finally made me read the novel. Bless. And this edit. I never clicked on anything so quickly. The pacing. Teach me your ways.
Watched this series yesterday and I am just in love with the whole thing but especially especially Paul Dano’s portrayal of Pierre...I actually picked up the book even though I’ve tried to get through Tolstoy unsuccessfully in the past.
I have not watched the series but from what I’ve seen here, he portrays Pierre perfectly, as close to the book’s version of Pierre as I can imagine. Pierre is a kind, gentle, vulnerable, and flawed human. Truly one of most lovable characters in literature.❤
i just wanna let u know that it's been months since i first watched this and to this day, the parts from 1:18 to 1:34 live in my brain rent free that i cant listen to this song without seeing those clips u'd masterfully sewn together in my head.
This is so beautiful Yas! Natacha and Andrei always break my heart over and over again, but I have to admit that I love those two very much too! In such a different way, of course but still. Anyways, I'm just so happy to see you vid them, and the result is amazing! So very beautiful! I'm absolutely shaken by the way you used "I'll use my voice, I'll be so fucking rude", it fits perfectly the emotion of his voice, it's perfect!
Beautifully done! You so well expressed the main love story, not the obvious one. Haven't seen a lot of videos about this deep, heartfelt miniseries. Love the juxtaposition of this modern song with such grand period landscapes.
is one hundred percent similar to the hero from the novel, completely and absolutely similar, but neither Andrey nor Natasha are completely alike and the faces, of course, are not of Slavic type, but here is ! He is absolutely identical! I can`t recognise Andrey, but when first I saw Pierre I knew it`s him, fantastic!
War and Peace is my favourite book and the BBC adaptation is just beautiful. Your video about their relationship is one of the best videos on youtube. Truly beautiful 🤍
Really good job! I saw the series years ago, but found very few edits that could do it justice (especially for Pierre and Natasha's relationship). Your work is flawless and has made the beauty of the characters in full. The song is one of my favorites. Thanks ❤️
Rewatching this as I plan to see again a person wich meant much to me, and whom life has strayed away. May we be as lucky as these two masterpieces of Tolstoy.
i dont know even know what movie/tv show this is from but i still thoroughly enjoyed this! was breathtaking and beautiful !! as always, i am in awe with your editing
This is amazing. I haven’t watch this series, but it’s really beautiful😍 P. S. But one day I will have to read “War and Peace”. So I will probably understand what this video is about
uhhh so you're telling me that now i need to read this book and watch this series?? Why do you do this to me Yasmin?? God I know what you mean about this song, its such a beautiful vidding worth song but its hard to find a fandom it fits to but this was perfection. You made me root for these two in less than 3 minutes and that is all in the power of your editing. i loved the use of imagery when the music built up, the sense of urgency that you built up there truly was iconic! I always save your videos to last to catch up on because I know i will never ever be disappointed in them and im always right in that assessment
1:22 when Bondarchuk died (he was a director and played Pierre in 1967 soviet WP),so when he died, huge clouds of craws flied like this. And now many years later, they are in this video, how mysterious is that?
this is War & Peace, the epic novel which takes place in 1812 - the Napoleon’s invasion of Russia. The guy from the video, Pierre, inherits a fortune even though he’s been, well, a bastard for his whole life. He’s a shy guy, so he gets hooked by a pretty but rather evil woman, treating Pierre bad and everything just after becoming his wife. She gets caught cheating, they get a divorce. Natasha is younger. As the plot develops, she’s been getting a lot of crushes, the one that is shown briefly in the video is Prince Andrei, Pierre’s friend. They fell in love, he proposed, his father told them they had to wait a year if they wanted to get married - the engagement is eventually broken off. During all those events, Pierre and Natasha met on different social occasions and were shown to care about each other. Natasha has always been talking good about him, calling Pierre a nice, funny guy. As for Pierre, he admired her, she charmed him completely with no intention of doing so. He tried convincing Andrei to marry her, saying all those words about Natasha, but never even considering that he had the right to propose himself. I mean, even when it’s all clear that they will end up together, he asks if she could love him. What a sweet guy.
the aesthetic ..... the rhythm ... the vision ... the synergy ...
thank u for loving my comment bc i am back again to yearn for these two when i haven’t even seen the show

I LOVED THIS MINI SERIES SO MUCH! And Pierre is just the cutest, I love him with Natasha 😭❤️✨

Where Can i watch it???
My name is Natacha so I will have to watch this serie
Hey my name is also Natasha!

As Russian I can say she doesn't look like Natasha Rostova at all.
Is Lily James the lead in every film these days?
It's an older TV series.
