Chase, please for Valentine's Day do a Varré cosplay. Nothing says love like a white creepy mask, bloody combat medic clothes, and a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Thanks
I really love to see your skills applied to a pizza cutter/ ghiza wheel build! It would be super cool to see someone with your skills get some good high risk high reward spinning wheel meat shots
Man, random comment, but Chase, I love your thumbnails. I know they take like, 5 minutes to make. The thing that I love is the style. I know a Chase thumbnail when I see one, and as someone who makes content (just for fun tho) I appreciate that.
Just a thought - if you're using an Int build with weapons focus, you should combo Terra Magica with Eternal Darkness. You get the damage buff but are safe from spell spam. They either have to suffer your pots or come into your buffed damage!
Chase, I saw a clip of someone using this weapon with the exploding cracked tears physick. Apparently if you drink the physick, roll, and then do the ash of war, it will combo the tear explosion into the sword explosion 💀
It's always a treat to watch a calm yet professional invasion with Chase. I don't know how you do it chase, but you have a warrior's mentality. Calm and friendly, yet deadly.
Madness consumes everything around you, will you guide it with thine chosen torch? It is calling you from deep within Midra's Abyss, ignore it no longer ChaseThineBro
Good to see some respect finally put on Royal GS. As a longtime Blaidd cosplay build, it's easily my favorite weapon, lol. Some tips, though-facetank the spammers. RoB and Moonveil are ripe for a stab'n'blast punish. So many cheesy moves are susceptible-my particular favorites are Mohgwyn Sacred Spear and Unendurable Frenzy, heheh. Oh, and just for the sake of goofin', the flip's super armor bypasses knockback from the explodey physick tears. So that's a fun trick, lol.
The frost buildup is applied on weapon hit, as well as explosion. The weapon hit deals 60 frost buildup, the explosion deals 100. At 55 STR and 50 INT this sword nets you over 900 AR one-handed. It competes well with Greatsword if you make good use of the weapon art. Note: As of Patch 1.08, the Speed of Crouching and Rolling Attack has been slightly increased.
You know one way to use the night maidens mist is by trading with one of the players with the cast and then doing a get off me ash to force them back in the mist. If it’s close enough you can have a continuous damage source while doing a heavy hitting ash, most people disregard the mist since it does so little damage. Combining it with founding rain of stars in a small area like Messmers fog wall, with something like endure or wave of darkness can cause a lot of damage. Used it with mohgs spear ash in max level and man did people get balls-y trying to out damage it
Wolf's Assault isn't an Ash of War. It's unique to the weapon. I don't think it would have been particularly unbalancing to the game if there *had* been an Ash item for it, so it's kind of a shame. But I guess they wanted Blaidd to have some distinctive stuff going on.
A backstep build would be interesting with a mixup of fancy backstabs and the running attacks. Dont forget the talisman that boosts your backsteps tho.
I would like to suggest a build called "The Carian Duelist". The premise is to use the Carian Sorcery Sword(The Thrusting Sword that doubles as a catalyst) and the Main Gauche as a dual wield combo. Main Gauche is a parrying tool. Work in spells into combat along with standard Thrusting Sword dual wield moveset. Armor is the Carian Knight Armor. Work in the Carian Slicer and Piercer into combos and it seems like a fun build. (I only saw a UA-cam Video about it, mean to try it when I get ER on PC eventually).
One thing I've learned watching these, and from past gaming experiences, is that the vast majority of players don't seem to value HP. So many just seem to have 'enough' hp to take one major blow then have to heal. Guess people just go with the glass cannon style and count on other things dying before they mess up too many times.

Its an okay weapon skill, but the problem is its competing with both Lion's Claw and Waves of Darkness. Lion's Claw is more safer and reliable than the leaping portion of wolf's assault. While its more easier to run up and plant Waves of Darkness on your enemy than landing both portions of Wolf's Assault as an AOE skill. Its a weaker fusion of both, I would recommend having a few magic zweihanders on top of this colossal sword. The leap has super armour but the follow up just doesn't have enough hypearmour for 2h r1 of colossal sword so you can be knocked out of it. The best thing about it for an intelligence build is its a very strong hard hitting colossal sword, that with 19 strength you can 2 hand this and get much more damage out of than a magic Zweihander when you 2 hand it and slightly more than a magic ultra Greatsword with much less stamina and weight cost.
I love this Sword in PVE and PVP, have great results in both with it. On my Strength/Intelligence Frost build I use Royal Greatsword, Darkmoon Greatsword, Nightrider Glaive with Ice Spear ash of war, Iron Greatsword and Zweihander with Chilling Mist, Zamor Curved Sword, and dual Great Maces with the Hoarfrost Stomp, and new one from the DLC. That with the Frost spells makes for a strong build.
i suggest adding a pierce damage option, like putting stomp-upward cut on a frost infused heavy trusting sword. is poke, but is bonk. will be useful :)
@nothingatonce thanks for the advice, can you put Upward Cut on a heavy Thrusting Sword like the Epie? I am about half way through the DLC with that build, but thinking about deleting that character and restarting it, I have ready did NG and NG+ in base game and I'd also like to have two of everything from the DLC as well. I had to do that with a bunch of my builds/characters. I have 20 builds/characters across two PSN accounts and was done with NG+ on the first 10 characters before I realized my mistake.
Hey Chase, I finallly got the computer upgrade to play Elden Ring! I used to watch a lot when I played DS3 pvp (stopped when servers were down at Elden Ring launch) And now catching up on some of the backlog. Loving that my greatsword and longsword skills transfer with square off and zweihander getting the poke. But just being a blue mostly for now while I play through the game. I have also been taking notes on what makes a bad wizard, so my wizard can not be like that, and while it helps having the emphasis on HP, I sure can not understand just sitting there spamming the same thing over and over in pvp. Hopefully I can be just as honest as my melee build one day.
You know what else is underrated? Ser Moore's Verdigris Shield! It hits like a truck and protects you from enemy trucks, it's the total package! Someday, we'll see Chase invade our worlds as Moore and on that day, all will understand how highly it should be rated.
Ley Lines buff all forms of magic damage, extremely strong tool if available. I know the buff also applies to co-op players but I don't actually know if it applies to opponents
Unironically my favourite weapon in the game even though it locks you out of other ashes and the stat spread is a bit weird if you intend to do any casting.
Beautiful work Chase! I was wondering if it could be possible to do a Halberd powerstance build. I haven’t done too much in terms of experimenting but I found the dragon halberd and a frost infused knightrider glaive pretty strong. With barbaric roar/war cry alternatively on the glaive could be devastating if you get the frost off with the dragon halberd!
i had a hunch youd be using this after that one invasion last video lmao. Chase we need an invasion as the lamenter transformation. only you could make a build centered around it!
Watching the afk Full-Goat Blue die was satisfying to you Chase, because Blues are another tool for casuals to enjoy the game with as little effort thrown in as possible
I don't know why but there's such a weird skill distribution in the game right now. There's the pretty good player (guy with banished knight armor backstepping, for example) and then there's the 1300HP at lvl 150 players. But there's very little in between. Clearly in Chase case is more accentuated because of his crazy skills, but even with moderate skills invasions are like 70% destroy the party in 3 swings, 20% good/fun challenges and 10% you get blendered.
Levels 150-200 are filled with players who know basically nothing and have gotten where they are by summoning, spamming L2 on the most popular Reddit-tier weapons, and panic rolling. That's why he plays in these ranges. It's seal-clubbing.
@@realQuestion there's totally an aspect of this. But can't say other lower metas are any better. Have tried the RL 25/+2/+6 and RL60/+4/+12 brackets with similar results. Aside from pvp leagues or groups I don't think the meta bracket matters much to address the skill gap issue in the player base.
