Hey! I'm thinking of buying this just to make vertical videos for social media while I draw in the street. Do you think that would work? Im wondering if the vertical position of the phone won't let me see my sketchbook while drawing... what do you think?
This is a fantastic video! I have a question, from your experience, what do you suggest to use (camera and mount) to film a TCG show with? I'm heading to one in a few months and wanted to document my experience buying and selling. Neck seems great but if I'm recording with an iphone it may be too shaky (13pro) so I'm not sure which camera or mount to go with whether it be pocket 3/action or chest/neck/backpack mount.
Thank you! I think a neck mount would be the best type of mount, because it's both easier to wear and provides a perspective that's closer to your own eyes than a chest or backpack mount. While the Pocket 3 would likely give you the best image quality, especially if the area is dimly lit, it can feel a bit in the way if you just want to let it run while you're going around exchanging cards. Another issue is that from experience, I've found that autofocusing on subjects up close isn't as consistent as my iPhone, but you might want to do your own testing. Monitoring will be important if you're trying to get card text looking sharp, so the neck mount phone monitoring is nice. But an action camera is definitely the easiest to wear and has fixed focus, and also captures the widest scene, meaning you'll get acceptable footage that reliably captures the moment, even if it's a bit noisy or card text isn't sharp.
Good point! Actually there is a story to this. I did want to try another neck mount for comparison purposes, but I didn't realize this SE 2.0 lacked a quick release until I got it, which made the comparison less interesting. I wanted to keep the video fairly simple and to the point for phone users and not dive into things like the CapLock mechanism, which might work better as a separate video. Right now I use this Telesin mount as a dedicated phone mount and just leave it with the magnetic holder permanently attached, and the PGYTech for anything else. In hindsight I should have at least mentioned the quick release thing as it does help if you want to switch between multiple cameras quickly. I will update the description!
@@captureguideok makes sense. i do agree that the pgytech system is superior. i have a falcam system and what made me change is that the falcam gets twisted loose easily compared to the pgytech.
Sorry, I did do some vertical filming and should have included it in the video. The footage was what you'd expect but the main issue was that it became harder to see the phone's screen (because the mount's arm can't extend out as far in vertical mode).
exactly what i was searching for, somone who shows some footage
I like the option, seems convenient enough and can be handed over to someone else without recording experience.
That’s high quality content

Is this using the rear camera or the front camera ? It’s only useful for my cycling photos if the first person view is using the rear camera
The clips are all using the rear camera, either the main camera or ultrawide

what happened to the pgytech neck mount in your previous vid? i thought you said that it was superior to others. so why change to the telesin?

Have you tired filming vertically?
