With Marvel I came in late, but I did space out the movies. So I reached End Game around the time all the TV series started appearing. There was just too much, too many new characters, lower quality product and I got overwhelmed and stopped.
I think that happened to a lot of people. Disney+ meant there were just too many shows to keep up with
Excellent points and examples
Glad you think so!
I stopped watching "Criminal Minds" because it got so gruesome I had to binge watch "Little House On The Prairie" to cleanse my mind.
Yeah, shows like that can be a bit much for sure
For me, it's often something similar to the character assassination. As a show goes on, the characters I loved continuously make decisions that steadily make me increasingly dislike them, until I'm only watching because there's one character that I'm rooting for. When that character, often side character, inevitably exits the show, through death or write off, I have no more reasons to watch so I stop. It happened with Shameless and Scandal by both of their seasons 5. By that point I hated all the characters in the shows except Mickey Milkovitch and James (Cyrus's husband) respectively. When they were written off their shows (in different ways), I was done. It probably would've also happened with Our Flag Means Death if it hadn't been canceled, after what they did to my fave character Izzy Hands at the end of season 2. Still salty about it. 🫤
It is so common with shows that run to 5 seasons or more. To keep it going they have to change it up lose so much of what we loved about the show to begin with. So frustrating but at least it frees us up to watch other shows 😊
My daughter hated what they did to VD . Supernatural was all about the pay check for years. Smallville I’m bias but it got weird. Btw I think Buffy is Carrie Bradshaw hence why I hate Buffy.
I also though Smallville got a little weird and supernatural was great but changed after season 5
So long as you don't give up on Heartstopper!
that seems unlikely at this point 🥰
I agree with Superman genre I feel CW, WB, UPN have a lot to answer for😊or
I am glad they are around but it got a bit much
So.. Do you just never finish shows? Haha
It does kind of feel like that 😂 I think it is why I often wait for a show to be finished before I start it so I know where it goes. And hey I do give most shows 4-5 seasons and Marvel was over 10 years of dedication.
@@NerdyInvestigations the 1st two reasons are the only ones I can't wrap my head around at all. The rest boil down to, 'the show I loved, is no longer a show I love'. Perfectly understandable. Right there with you.
.. But if someone ever told me, they love a show so much, that they could never watch the finale, but also they know how it ends... I'm just.. Sweet summer child.. What?! Like, the characters can still exist for you if you make it to the credits. And the story is still over whether you shut your eyes or not. More confusing to me with a show like Smallville, which I would assume the penultimate episode was probably a cliffhanger, and the finale had a happy ending...? What are you avoiding by not watching that isn't present by reading what happens? I am baffled, bewildered, and flummoxed.
@@Keyatzin i know it’s a strange approach to watching a show and I don’t do it often. I didn’t watch most of season 10 for Smallville as it was getting a bit weird for me but I wanted to know the end so I spoiled it for myself so I didn’t have to watch the whole thing. I know it ends regardless of what I do but I wanted to include it as it is a thing I have done. I think that is why I like looking up shows before I start them, I like to know where they go. The control freak in me I guess. Thanks for the comment though, it made me laugh at my own sillyness 😊
@@NerdyInvestigations glad you can take it in jest, & not offense!
