@@septagon_ Nintendo doesn't MAKE the Pokemon games, they LICENSE the Pokemon games. There is a difference. Nintendo owns a portion of the rights to the franchise, which is why all Pokemon games are Nintendo exclusives.
Game Freak is the company that actually makes and programs the games.

Sending death threats over a single game is just plain WRONG!!! A whole major event got canceled because of that! But that was a smart move for Nintendo. I do not want one of the most popular video game companies to get ruined!

I remember being so sad the event was canceled because of the upcoming Splatoon Concert. The plan was to hold a hololive concert featuring Deep Cut and Off The Hook, but after the cancellation, Nintendo put on the concert without the live audience. Nintendo has done countless of these concerts before but this one felt so empty without the audience. It’s such a shame because the set for this show was FIRE and a lot of the show was supposed to feature audience interaction.
I get there are people that have taken a disdain to Nintendo. But, this is disgusting, inexcusable and toxic behavior. I've seen even worse with SEGA being given death threats from a toxic gamer, but still, this is a much worse low than I thought.

It's even crazy to think that they didn't even send Nintendo death threats back in 2020 for canceling The Big House after revealing that they were gonna use an emulator to play Smash Melee online in their homes due to the pandemic.

august was the end of a splatoon 3 season, when people are pushing to pick up or maintain rank, particularly if they had a ton of deficit built up. with winter looming around the corner, could be that 🤷♂️ plus mental health of course
Certain corners of the Internet, specifically fandoms, have proven to me that any piece of media can cause awful fighting and in some bad cases, death threats, but the cause of this one is a mystery to me. But no matter the cause, death threats are NOT at all okay behavior.
No matter if a company or someone is p-sing you off, NEVER threaten people like that. Telling people “Kill yourself” and “I will kill you if yada yada” is never okay just so you can get what you want. I hope people learn these days.

I don't think it's "Everybody 1-2 Switch"; it's probably something with a more hardcore (or actual) fan base like Pokémon or Zelda, but if the guy's unhinged anyway, I sort of would like to imagine that the game in question is Everybody 1-2 Switch. Pokemon is not related to this at all. Also side note the scarlet and violed dlcs are really good especially the 1 st wave as the second wave released nearing the end of the year. After some digging I found thet the pokemon games are not involved at all and the 21st and the 29th tthreats were extremely vulgar and that he was drunk writing those two threats.
The threats were almost specifically about splatoon and their (splatoon related) events. Also I’m sure that both the dlcs are very good and I don’t think a dlc can make someone mad and I was right ording to a copy of the threats I was able to get my hands on and I am able to assure you that the threats were about Splatoon 3 after he was banned due to vulgar language in nintendo siwtch online’s mobile app.

With totk I enjoyed it 10x more than botw, the map is the same but not the same, its altered which gave me a new experience, i remember going to a location i remember and finding out i was lost cuz it changed, and alot was added like the sky and going into the depths was very fun, and not needing amiibo for older clothes of zelda games like the oot tunic and such, it was a big upgrade for me, and it felt more to true 3d zelda games than botw did, since it had more things like proper dungeons and such

While I don't condone threatening someone, I think a big part of the reason this is happening is because of how draconian Nintendo is with copyright claims and shutting down fan projects of anything. People are fed up. And unfortunately, if Nintendo doesn't change, this will only get worse over time.

It was definitely fire emblem, all those other IP's arent as big in japan. FE is usually a phenomenon and if I recall right, is huge in japan. Whereas, Engage was received poorly by a lot of people if you're not in a echochamber.

The Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC have many flaws, but it has also a good amount of good things. The difficulty was higher than most Pokémon games in a good way, and the story was incredible. Kieran from it is my favorite character in the entirety of my history with fiction.
