Can we just say that between: "Away" (theme of Phoenix), "Find the Flame" (Theme of Ifrit), and "Ascension" (Theme of Bahamut), this game undeniably gets soundtrack of the year.
Disagree. They fumbled the field themes and regular battle themes, but got the boss themes right. A soundtrack of the year should have little to no weakness.
Out of the hundreds of games I’ve played since I was a child, this was the one moment my jaw dropped and my hype went through the roof, at 28 years old. Never really felt that until now.
i relate to this so much. The game came out of fkn no where for me and i know it has flaws but god damn this game just clicked on another level compared to any other game i’ve played before
When I first learned about the plot of this game I thought Ifrit would be a devil on Clive’s shoulder tempting him to become a bringer of the apocalypse and burn the world but this is by far my favorite moment in the game Clive accepting that Ifrit is him and he is Ifrit and can’t truly avenge his brother instead chooses to fight for the living using Ifrit’s power to protect them.
What's tremendous is I looked at every reaction/stream I could find, and what hit me was... The scene where Clive says "You're not ifirit, I am." and it shows a close up to his tranformation and the face, the music, no matter WHERE it is, IT FITS IMMENSELY WELL. It doesn't matter WHERE it is in the music, almost every part of the music fits that scene almost flawlessly, and that's even more amazing.
This scene is so awesome because not only is Clive the dominant of ifrit but he is literally ifrit Clive is not human like the rest of the cast he was created by ultima which is why ifrit looks like ultimas true form Clive is literally a god even when comparing him to other god like creatures like odin Clive is unique in this sense that he grew up as a human and learned emotions were ultima did not the parallel is so good
That parry at 2:12 looked so freakin' cool, yet was so surprising. I love when the parry animation slows the game down in cool moments like that. It's stuff like that which makes me love the combat system in this game so much.
While this game is somewhat of a disappointment in the second half, this was probably one of the best moments for me. I love how the scene before this plays out, and how the music is directed to fade in with the press of the triggers.
@@fbistatmajor5918 My issue with the second half is that it kind of turned the story from being about humanity and brotherhood into a thing about killing God and weird zombies. I get that the villain of the game is a good villain for Clive on a thematic level, but I still feel like having the story be about humanity itself would have been better than what we ended up getting. I also didn't really enjoy how they wrote characters like Jill. There were many opportunities where we could have had a switch to her, like how we switch to Joshua at the start, but then they just have her instantly lose or hold things off for Clive to fight.
Clive is way cooler than noctis. Noctis is cool ig but his story makes 0 sense unless you play all the dlc play the royal version read and book and watch the anime
thats not even the original idea for ff15,,,if u took the time to look into it the original theme for 15 was nothing like that. he was removed from the project. also the ORIGINAL noctis was way better. anyway yeah ff16 was not bad but wasnt good either, @@JacksonIsDeath

I agree 120%
I think we're sleeping on Titan's theme a little bit here too. And Lost Titan.
@@Stickarms99 honestly, I just forgot the names of the actual theme.
Typhon's theme... It was also fucking rad.
Disagree. They fumbled the field themes and regular battle themes, but got the boss themes right. A soundtrack of the year should have little to no weakness.
Barnabas’s boss theme is also incredible.
“Enough. I know the truth of it now. You are not Ifrit… I am.”
*_C H I L L S_*
“You’re not him…. I AM” most badass moment in the game
I know, right?
Fucken shakespearean man

Same here. Never been more glad to be proven wrong
Honestly, this game feels like three games in one. And I love it.,
Same here
Clive gained limit breaker for accepting the truth
Ultima released limit breaker for denying the truth
The whole moment was amazing ; such character development. Its my game of the year.
every good therapy session needs sick combos
Agreed ♾️ percent.
OMG this is possibly the most thrilling moment I’ve ever seen in game.
I definitely shed a few happy tears when i first witnessed this ngl

This is one of my top 5 Final Fantasy games of all time.
Most Badass Limit Break in the series
I will be pressing F to pay my respects when it arrives to PC.
Just finished this part it's so badass
Clive is a certified badass
Its like the perfect blend of Bayo/Devil May Cry
Would love for all of them to be in the same game somehow. Like smash
IT blows my mind, that this epic game is soo underrated
and all it took was for an underwhelming expac for their MMO.
Generally the moment it snapped in my mind of ok i like this game this shit is awesome.
The game is such a visual masterpiece
Go away 15 with your sexy fire anime boy. THIS IS IFRIT!!!!!
I agree, whenever I think of Ifrit, I think of this now.
Clive's Roar 4:06 Gives me goosebumps

Wait you can parry that downward thrust???
Hype
well at least this game was better than dawntrail.
Accept the truth, you killed your brother. lol
Sorry but its kinda wack that the story took that direction.
You have so much to learn about real raw dark truths people face in life; this was beautiful
3/5 game 5/5 music 3/5 story. tbh im sick of the edge characters...we have more then enough. he is cool but basically a noctis/cloud
Clive is way cooler than noctis. Noctis is cool ig but his story makes 0 sense unless you play all the dlc play the royal version read and book and watch the anime
you're just going off looks and sexiness, he is a nice guy that says alright all the time and helps out
