I love ❤️ the way you slowly go step by step n explain the process this gives us (bachelors) good understanding understanding the process of cooking THANKS A LOT !!❤
This looks so delicious. The more I watch West African food videos the more I see where cultural African-American food gets it’s roots… jollof rice = jambalaya vegetable soups = collard / mustard greens
Momone, koobi, supaku, garlic, ginger ... These are the main spices for traditional dishes like this. Adding any other type of spice makes is .... Ah well, to each his own. Nice video 🤗
Boy I’m watching this from London, I just love to watch you cook every time. your food always looks rich & enticing & full of different ingredients, I’m Caribbean but I’m fascinated with African cooking. I wish I was living at your house just to taste some of that lovely food, it’s fit for a king.🤣🤣
Looks yummy! I love Kontomire Stew. I also heard in Ghana, it’s also known as Egusi stew. My mum calls this Egusi stew but in Twi it’s called Kontomire. I know it’s normally eaten with rice or boiled yam but can I eat this with gari as an option?
You’re right, In Nigeria we add a lot of spices to our stews quite alright, but not in our Egusi though that’s because we add local seasoning and stock fish which have their own lovely taste, and will be masked by the spices being added here…so we normally don’t use them In our Egusi or vegetable stews. ( Though I have noticed that a lot of other GhanaianUA-camrs didn’t use all these spices for their Egusi /Palava stew, So maybe she’s just used it here as a matter of choice and taste))
please im liberian and palava sauce is a liberian dish not ghanaian. furthermore this is NOT palava sauce 😂. palava sauce does not have ground egusi in it and we don't use that leaf you used.
Ghanaians also have palava sauce and it’s clearly made differently from how Liberian makes it. Same way Jollof rice is made differently by Ghanaians and other African countries.
Liberia is NOT the only country that cooks palava sauce! Us Ghanaians make our strw different. Maybe you should go on a Liberians person youtube and complain

Where do you get the meat on with the skin
Can you specify which meat on the skin?
Wow
Thank you 🙏🏾
What can one do to stop the leaves from itching the throat 🤔
It sounds like you may be allergic to the leaves and maybe you should not eat it. Have you tried replacing it with Spinach instead?
Use the tender leaves
I’m pregnant and I feel like eating kotobre I tried in Ghana but right now I’m in my country I can’t find all the ingredients and seasoning

What is egusi?
Melon Seeds
Melon seeds
Can I please some❤️
Soon 😘
I don’t think maggi is healthy.
natural ingredients are the best
Well done
Why did you add so much spices? Momoni is the best spice
I always advise everyone to use their preferred spices please.
Please try to use wooden when cooking stew or soup, thank you.
Please it is my soup and I choose which type of spoon I use thanks.
Stephen is right. Plastics react to heat, when used to cook, and not good for the health.
As for your recipe, Bravo. Great job.

Too much spices why
This is what I prefer to use and I always say people should use their own spices they prefer.
This is liberian thing U changed not bad. It's yummy but u need to do it the real Liberian way it's the best stew
I am not Liberian and this stew is a Ghanaian dish. Feel free to make yours the Liberian way when you make it.
Is it me or the oil is too much. Also the spices🤔😵 But i've noticed alot of Ghanaian and Nigerian foods have a lot of that

Looks delicious, but not Palava Sauce. Palava Sauce is made in Liberia from Jute or Molokhia leaves. Good job on the Egusi stew from Nigeria.
In Ghana it’s called palava sauce and we have egusi in the stew. But thank you for the comment 🥰
Who told you Egusi stew is from Nigeria alone. Besides don't you people call yours SOUP
@@simp1eone In Ghana we call it Stew and I think other African countries call it soup why? I have no idea 🤷🏾♀️
@@simp1eone no it's called Palava SAUCE...we use soup casually but that doesn't mean that's the official name
They have their own version of a Palava Sauce but it's not the same dish.
please im liberian and palava sauce is a liberian dish not ghanaian. furthermore this is NOT palava sauce 😂. palava sauce does not have ground egusi in it and we don't use that leaf you used.

@@ghanaianqueen7891 Absolutely i agree with you
This is how we make palava sauce in Ghana my dear
Is it stew or "stchew"?
Your pronunciation is funny and annoying 😂
You did well anyway 👍
Palatable sauce 😋
😂🤣🤣 please it’s stew I have an accent so ooo
