Can you make this specific video. My character is made out of mirrored planes, (Because he's made out of paper and unity won't render both sides of planes) and I can't even get to the coding, because I can't get the ragdoll physics and the rigging right on blender. Can you help with that, or make a video on that? Thanks
@@gr4babeam I don't really know but maybe you could make 2 planes in blender then flip normals on the second one. I think you have to weight paint too if its not working.
@@gr4babeam You can make Unity render both sides of a surface. If you're using Universal Render Pipeline you can simple enable it in the material you've used on planes ( Render Face: Both). Otherwise you need to have an edited shader. Try this: gist.github.com/jminor/6a14271368e57b84c136d94906ae6603
I did exactly the ragdoll balancing part but my ragdoll stood for a bit then just fell on the ground and sat there, it wouldn't stand up straight, please help thank you!
@@drollestprawn okay thank youuu, after adding a force to my ragdoll's head and torso it stood up straight!! Until I start rotating it's torso to test if it would stay the same, the ragdoll's head will disconnect from the torso and the whole ragdoll won't balance itself again, any suggestions?
Would you please make a tutorial that you create from scratch? Im not here to watch your showcase, like "look at this, i made this thing, its cool eh? Basically, you just need to create this script then place the script on this object" but your title says "Complete Active Ragdoll Tutorial", no Im new to active ragdoll thing
Yes I will make a tutorial like that It will be a bit different tho because my code for this is really messy that's why I did it this way. Hopefully I can get it out this week so subscribe if you want to know when it comes out.

my guy still falls over after carefully following this, any ideas?
edit: fixed it

Great tutorial
What unity version are you using? Would this work on v 2018.4?
I used 2019 but I don't think there is anything that won't work on 2018

You can also add an upward force to the hips or the head because the balance only rotates the hips

I’m not sure. maybe the head joint isn’t connected right or maybe try putting the force on the hips instead
dat mouse click tho
can you make a tutorial about ragdoll grabing the gun
What I did in this ua-cam.com/video/kc5YDXe5fQE/v-deo.html was I just put the gun as a child of the hand. Hope that helps

It is helpfull
Can you make it for a Active Ragdoll AI like an enemy
Yes. I'm trying to make it work with navmash and when I do I'll make a tutorial
It turns out you can just put navmesh on the balance thing that rotates the player and set the speed to as low as you can.
Can it use a model to make this?
yes!, but you need to devide it into a fragments
does this work in 2020.3.2?
yes it should
Wich unity version you use?
2019
