I made that exact same mistake with a marshmellow drizzle on my chocolate cake I made for Thanksgiving. Some strategic mini pumpkin figure setting around the cake stand and no one knew! Love seeing the humility.

I’ve been baking for a while but am a novice cake decorator and it helps so much to have people like you who can help teach me in an understandable and non overwhelming way how to perfect my skills. Plus I’m jealous of your husband that he gets to eat all your delicious baked goods! Lol
So do I. Last week and then yesterday I made a batch of my favorite chocolate peppermint thumbprint cookies that are filled with a chocolate peppermint ganache. These cookies are SO good. So hard to just eat 2 or 3 lol. I love recipes that'll give you the opportunity to make them ahead of time then freeze until needed. If you're interested in the recipe just let me know. It looks delicious! I have no problem melting white chocolate in the microwave. I use Ghirardelli all the time for my candy and chocolate chip cookie dough fudge. The microwave makes way easier for me when I am melting white, milk, and semisweet chocolates.

Just wanted to add, there are very few cooking channels I will bother watching, particularly now since there are more than a few "scam misleading" cooking channels. They appear in my sidebar claiming "I eat this cake every day! No flour no eggs no oven!" Except it either tastes like a rock or they already prepared the flour egg mixture and pretend they never added it. Anyway, my point is that if John doesn't make something then I won't bother watching it!! 🥰
