They had so many of the big names of 90's pop. Britney Spears, NSYNC, Aaron Carter, Christina Aguilera, Billy Crawford. I like the lesser known artists in the soundtrack most though.
I remember buying this CD when it first came out and now here in 2019 I STILL know every word to these songs! Damn, I really miss the 90's sometimes....
Yeah, one of my favorite parts of a movie was listening to the songs at the end credits. Pity that eventually when it came to television they started to speed run the credits and show clips of other shows or ads for random products, cutting the music entirely...😢
Hands down the best album, ever! I listened to this album as a kid and I’m now nearly 28 and still know every word to each song. Blew my mind once I realised the high caliber of artists on this album. Love, love, loveeee!

It's crazy to think that people from so many different places in the world got to listen to this amazing CD. I don't even remember listening these songs in the movie. I was 4-5 years old, more or less, when the movie was released in our cinemas, but my parents bought me the soundtrack on a CD. First 4 songs were the opening in many languages, and the rest were all the pop songs of the movie, including this one. Damn, amazing songs. Hugs from Uruguay, SA.
Did You Know: This song was co-composed by Mark Meuller, the man behind the classic Disney TV show theme songs to DuckTales (1987), Chip n' Dale Rescue Rangers (1989), and "Nothing Can Stop Us Now" the sole vocal song to the direct-to-video animated adaptation of The Little Engine That Could (1991). He also contributed to many other mid and late 90s artists who had hits in that time, such as "Crush" by Jennifer Paige and "That is What Love is For" by Amy Grant.
Same thing happened with Yugioh pyramid of light. Most songs are from 90s group kids knew nothing about & have to research to see if they sing for movies or are real bands.
I hate when Japanese fanboy or fangirl prefer original version just because it original version. What I like 4Kids did used old school music and mostly sometimes used their creative it amazing they loved Pokemon I don’t mind hey used their own music instead using Japanese music

Caden Does Gaming pretty much. I've been thinking and this is a big thing at the time. Think of it as cross promotion. This song is by NSYNC who were huge at the time and of course Pokemon was super huge. So they promote each other despite it making no sense. Look up other 90's and 00's soundtracks. They have loads of stuff from big artists at the time. Mostly just album filler
As a kid I never noticed, but hearing Britney, Christina, and Justin Timberlake being featured in a Nintendo IP will never let me sink that fact in. It's like hearing a Billie Eyelash song in the Animal Crossing soundtrack.
I'm gonna buy a physical copy of this soundtrack to ALWAYS have in my car radio. Never will my children or passengers have to deal with the BS that plays on the radio nowadays.

I'm getting old asf but that's okay I'll never forget my childhood. Started singing along just like I did when I was a little boy.
Remember when you were a kid and the songs played at the end of movies were almost apart of the movie itself. I miss those days.

Yea but I think it spelt nintedo on the bottom. It's a printing error by wizards of the coast. You should check yours too

Joshua Shaw it is inspired by the movie. I guess it relates to how ash and mew talked to mewtwo and gave him his own peace.
