...I must admit I yelled at Ash for being a freaking moron to run right into the crossfire like he did even when I first watched this movie. Mostly because the implications of how strong a Legendary was and how amped its clone was...I kinda knew getting in the middle of that was a death wish. My take might be too deep but we ARE literally fighting with our equals while losing our collective war.

And its sad because watching this movie again has made me realize that we will never again have this great feeling of adventure and a good portion of realistic emotion portrayed like this. This, 2000, Curse of the Unknown, 4ever, heroes, etc. But when it hit about the 4th gen movies it felt lifeless and just for money. So I hope my kid will be a pokemon trainer from the start like i was. And im hoping to share the real feeling and ideal of what pokemon was through the early movies and on.

Then i was upset at the voice direction of the bundled dvd mini movie with that other mewtwo. I forget the name cuz it had all of the kanto peeps, ash, brock, oak, and misty and may.... It's crazy how when I used to listen to this, it was from an CD my parents bought me on Wallmart thinking it was a game, when it was actually an OST from the movie. I listened only to this song because on the movie it was the one that made me feel very emotional, even as a kid I just felt to sad watching that scene... Now about 20 years later, I listen to this again and understand the lyrics (English is not my first language), and it's so powerful. Just nostalgia and a warm feeling mixed together... And this movie set the bar very high for what a Pokemon movie could be, and it's still to this day being considered one of the best, if not THE best, out of all of them. All of the movies through 5 were good (I couldn't get into the later ones as much and yes, I did watch them all). I actually like 2, 3 and 5 better than the first movie though it's still good.

Honesty, my all time favorite movie since my childhood. Legendary soundtracks, The Cast, the storyline, and the characters. Till this day, this movie and soundtrack brings me joy and a bit of tears to my eyes, espically certain scenes. Pure legend of a film, Glad to have it on cassete. This track is Unforgettable. How time flies.

i have ALWAYS loved this song and thought it was the best song ever associated with pokemon. Years after the movie i still remembered the pokemon fighting and crying while this song played.
