- Hi friends! I'm back with another tutorial! This is how I created our stormy sea Ombre wall in my foyer! Colors:
Lightest Blue: Billowy Breeze, SW 9055
Middle Blue: Aquamarined, HGSW3313
Dark Blue: Everglade Deck, 5011-3 (Valspar color)
Dark Gray: Chimney Smoke, 4010-1 (Valspar color)
So we have a vision of an abstract meadow and this ombre is how I imagine our sky dipping into the tops of the flowers. Thank you!!!

I absolutely think you did an amazing job on this wall. I would love this in my living room, but I'm not sure I could hang anything on it after It was finished. I do believe I could just sit and stare at it.

fabulous colour choices - my favourite. Looks great with the brownwood furniture against it. The flashes of sunlight in your final reveal almost makes it look like your room is underwater! Lovely project, well done.🏆😄

My son wants an underwater themed bedroom. His bedroom ceiling is not as high as yours. Do you think that I could get a similar effect using only 3 colors, one of which being white?
Definitely! Just keep your paint wet with some water and that will help with the blending. I'm planning a project where I actually paint a ceiling and paint down from that. Unfortunately It will be a little while before I can get to it.
I was wondering what the finished look was going to be with regard to the furniture...you wouldn't want to put anything too big to block such a beautiful wall, but your 'furniture ' placement sets it off beautifully! Well done...watching from Ireland...have a great day...tell your hubby, he has married a genius!!

I believe about $80. I only had to pay for the 4 quarts of paint from Sherwin Williams, I had all the other supplies already on hand.

Dark Gray: Chimney Smoke, 4010-1 (Valspar color)
Secret to tape is smooth with credit card then paint the edge the color of the previous wall. So white walls being taped then use white paint across the edge. Let dry the paint whatever color you’re doing over that. I promise you will be shocked at the clean and precise lines with ZERO bleeding thru.

Yes I do! I would keep a spray bottle or a bowl of water with you to keep it damp

What type of cloth did you use, like a terry cloth cotton or microfiber?
Just fyi…if you add Flotral to your paint, you can blend and move the paint a lot longer
