- Africa, a continent of 54 countries and the preferred economic destination for most multinationals is faced with the challenges of good governance and leadership. These encumbrances have hindered its developmental speed and thereby subject her glorious citizens to plethora difficulties.
In this episode, STRAIGHTalk with the Nobel Laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka throws light into the concept of Leadership and Good governance in Africa. However, it encapsulates Profiteering in government, Corruption and State Pardon, Insurgency in Nigeria among other things
Professor Wole Soyinka, Part of the last few good men left in my great country. Our President chia! chia!! chia!!! there is God oh oh oh ooooo
Soyinka is looking still fresh and young.. Jah bless bro
These are the type of people needed in nigeria to bring about transformation, but unfortunately just as he has rightly said nigerians are not willing to be patient as well as do anything that does not involve money.
The true son and trustworthy flesh of Africa, may your soul live longer.
WOLE SOYINKA FOR PRESIDENT
politics is a different ball game! don't go beyond the wish!
if is not ah professor he is wise and we need people like he to take us out of foolishmant

Change is a must!! You are a genius
Sir you have spoken will
VERY TRUE,..
My Icon ,My Hero
Good Interview - GI
Happy new season
Granted that the previous leaders had failed to deliver, does Nigeria need a law-graduate president before the political boat could remain un-rocked, before attaining a political culture, extirpating or deracinating all forms of payola?
Sir u ve spoken well we are living on an imposed constitution, we really really really really really really need a new Constitution, imagine the salary of one person capable of paying over 200 people Hmmmm God help us
I'm disappointed in the views of people like 'tlig' and 'jerry ade'. Eunan is very right, discussion at this level is for highly educated minds. I find the interview educative and straight to the point. 'tlig' and 'jerry ade' are obviously not learned enough to follow the prof's argument. 'jerry ade' should know that Soyinkas of this world don't rule, they talk. There are 100s of 1000s of profs and researchers in the US where Clintons, Obamas, Bushs, Reagans govern. So, keep to 9ja movies pls...
You probably don't know what the word means. Wole Soyinka has help many professorships.
Any homo sapiens sapiens, who rhythmically project rhetorical questions of this ultra-ordained WORD SMITH, PROFESSOR WOLE SOYINKA'S ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS in tandem with the PROFESSORSHIP accolade, must really GO-BACK-TO-SCHOOL in toto, ad infinitum...!
What do you mean? I merely asked a question. I happen to be Nigerian by the way and know quite a bit about the man.
I swear the Interviewer look exactly like Wayne Brady!!!!!
yes he does and Soyinka looks and sounds like Morgan Freeman
the brother of don king
Gaskiyar cewa shugabannin da suka gabata sun kasa aiwatarwa, shin Najeriya na bukatar shugaban kasa da ya kammala karatun shari’a kafin jirgin siyasa ya ci gaba da zama ba a tangarda ba, kafin a kai ga al’adar siyasa, korarre ko bata kowane nau’i na payola?
Your question or inquiry was not properly worded. Even your reaction to my comments is also not wonderful. He is a Professor. Does this help you?
Trivialising crime and it is impact of rendering of services
the kongii
i Think a Nobel Laureate as is the great Wole Soyinka deserves a better interviewer with a good command of the english language. This is an insult, I'm sorry. TVC please do better.
WHAT IS NIGERIAN PROBLEM WITH LOOKING FOR FAULT IN EVERYTHING,I GUESS BISOLA ANIMASHAUN OR WHAT EVER YOU CALL YOURSELF IS FROM EKITI.
tosin lamina it's really annoying,.. ITK everywhere, as if they were watching to find a fault or something..
I think his performace was descent. I have no difficulties understanding him unless you want to hear a British accent, then we should have whiteman do the interview.
Such a dumb interviewer!
I like Wole but I'd like to know if he's a real prof. Does he have a doctoral degree PhD, and where did he earn it? I've looked in Wikipedia and couldn't find this information.
you stupid. what is PhD. don't. mean shit. even the bird know. were is there netch
@Muyiwa clever man!
Asking whether wole Soyinka is a real professor is a cadinal sin.
Do not mind their ignorance. He is the only Nobel winner till date in West Africa and one of about 5 in subsaharan Africa. Soyinka's accomplishments are higher than any degree
Any body who is doubting Woles integrity needs to rethink again and take time to ask well enough about the man.
Bola Tinubu you support is one of them.
i am not impressed with this interviewer. Can't TV/C News do better? Thanks Uncle Wole. Change is in our hands.
My heart skipped a bit each time the interviewer began to talk.. He appeared so dumb!
valentine. there are many professors without PhD. there s no need for u to be abusive.
this guy interviewing Prof. is a mumu ooo
2 men are being mistakenly yorubas 1 is fela 2 is soinka
As a matter of fact these 2 men i mentioned shouldn't have been yorubas
Idiot...
The iQ of the man interviewing prof is far beneath that of prof
ikechukwu elegonye What do you expect? How many living or dead people were (are) able to match the prof's level in all standards of life?
+Tiera Slaughter I wonder ooo my sister
No one expected him to match Prof's IQ. That would be expecting too much from him, even the best of us. But it was very clear that he sounded quite empty and does not have even the basic skills for an interview such as this!
What does your silly comment got to do with the interviewer asking the questions he asked???
Who told you that he is not a Professor? Did you understand what he was talking about? I doubt if you did. He approach to issues is too much above your understanding. Try and show some respect to our elders your betters. OK?
The izhus..lol
Really nonsense of individual life of every Nigerian
wole, are u a nigerian?if u are,u know what to do to make africa a better plece in the world.do it and stop talking too much.
you don't need a phd to be a professor, u do research and publish papers
Derin Olorunshola who told you that? So you know a professor that doesn't have a PhD? lmao
Is he a real professor? I've heard he isn't.
People study study his works to become professors. Do you understand?
