That’s a great lesson to all who start. Use caution, don’t go out and spend a fortune on equipment expecting gold every time. Pickaxe, shovel, pan, and sluice are what most prospectors use the most. Well waders too, but you know what I mean 😂
Prospectors know that, sure today was a little disappointing, but it could have been awesome. You just don't know until you try. Next time you could hit a pocket that will make you jump for joy. That will fuel you to go again, and spin the wheel for another chance at the unknown. Just keep having fun, and enjoying just getting out there. Keep em coming.
Yep, really my back problems are slowing me down. I only worked for about 2 hours and typically I would head down river to a much better spot but I can’t do what I used to do! Thanks for the encouragement
The STRUGGLE IS REAL. I have this same issue up at Quartzville Creek. I'll hit a spot and find decent gold then another trip find just fine flour that you can barely see. Then I got spoiled at Lawson Bar. Now, I find that I get disappointed going up to Quartzville Creek. Thanks for the reminder to just be thankful for being out in NATURE doing what I LOVE instead of being about how much gold I find.
@@Goldhunter7769 ya I’ve got an area on the sixes like that. I don’t get my biggest gold there but always seems to provide some decent gold. I just went there on thanksgiving for a couple hours.
Sorry you didn't score on the gold, but at least you got to enjoy some outdoor time as the weather cooperated nicely. The water really dropped; looked like great conditions.
Yeah funny I did better at high water with hardly any room to work 😂, but my better spot is down river some. Plus I won’t risk digging more than 2 hours right now because of the back issues.
Great job getting that Au fam. Great day out there. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Thanks!

Absolutely!!!
Nailed it, I’ve been looking for some waders

Yeah it’s one problem working that old channel. Very patchy
Still, you can't beat the beautiful weather for it being Thanksgiving.
Happy Thanksgiving my friend
I appreciate you sharing
🙏❤️🌲
Was nice up there water was so low!
That definitely happens to us all. I’ve been in my best spots and get next to nothing sometimes.
That’s really a first for me up there getting so little and not at least one good flake

Still a great day in nature. If only we had x-ray vision to see where the gold is😅
Right!
No one is getting rich gold panning. You either love to do it or you don't.
