When in doubt, leave the suit at home. Scout , explore and find the bedrock. Then pack the suit to your discovery. As Skovian says, crevice gold is around even on the stuff you walked over. Stay golden 77 😅
Nice scenery beautiful water thanks for taking the video other than the homeless camp great day maybe farther up river there's some bedrock across the bottom to snipe
what a beautiful area , lots of areas to test there , i'd stay and test , Dan hurd has a similar layout on the Fraser River just boulder fields, but its loaded with gold , so well worth further investigation , they say never leave gold for gold but you have to prospect for new ground at some point.
We stopped on the side of the road when I saw a small gravel bar near an old bridge near Roseburg. I found an old hubcap to put some material in. We got home and panned it out. I got 24 little flakes of flood gold and countless micros. I can't wait to get back down there with my gear. I might see you out there somewhere this summer.
Those flowers were pretty wild. I gotta look them up still. Was some good info I can check that spot off the list for sniping and plan a sluicing there later.
I thought about it but I know this river so well in fact there are a few stretches of decomposed bedrock that always hold amazing gold so that’s was the plan. However I’ll be back there to dig for sure.
Keep exploring. You could always go back to your old stomping grounds on the south Umpqua. Plenty of bedrock down the whole river. We went camping at Quartsville Creek again this weekend and we showed up early Saturday morning and there was only 1 camp spot left and I can see why. The camp gets nailed by the sun mid day and you get cooked and I was barely able to find any gold. I think for the rest of the summer we are going to go Friday after work or on a rainy weekend if I want to get a decent camp spot😮💨
That’s exactly what I preach. Hit or miss it’s all more information than I had before. Looks like some great places to sluice and crevice so I’ll be back to try that. I’m just really on the hunt for sniping right now and it might take a while.
I think the surf shops might? I’d call Bahamas boards. But I didn’t feel like paying double so I ordered online. That problem is sizing correctly though. I came close just need to lose 10 lbs.
What a great day out there fam. Keep at it. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Great hike
Heck yea brother awesome stuff thanks for sharing heavy pans
G'Day Kevin, Well I hope those grubs came back and cleaned up there mess. Beautiful country to live & prospect in Kev. Thanks buddy 👍👍 Cheers Kev
It's always fun to explore, but it's disappointing when you don't find what you're looking for. Stay safe out there!
Thanks man
Amazing adventure indeed! It not about having the gold it’s about finding the gold!👍😎🎩⚒️G.P.
That’s right! The gold is a nice bonus but I’m fairly good at finding it.
Beautiful river! I'd say keep exploring, your gonna find a good spot soon, I can feel it

Hope so thanks
So glad that case comes in handy! Appreciate you Brother! I need to send you some carnelian agate next!
Love that case, a real life saver on trips like this where I might chance floating or I could drop my backpack.
I love the Illinois...never lets me down! 😊
This ain’t it but I do too!

Wow that’s a very cool gold mining story, magazine worthy in my opinion hauling it off in a hub cap and found a decent amount of gold!
Sorry you couldn't find some good bedrock, but that sure is a beautiful area! Wow, those flowers were awesome! The water is so clean and clear.

The place looks amazing i would of had to try a couple of pans just to see thank you for sharing bro 👏👍
I’ll be back to do some of that! Thanks
Nice hike
Nice place
Good video
My only surprise was you didn’t take a pan to see if you could pan some flood gold

Yeah I just might do that
Hell ya what a great day! Now you know what you know about that stretch!

@@Goldhunter7769 So the trip wasn't totally a wasted one got to see some new spots that's always a good thing!
Exploring os always good. Surprised you didn't do a little crevicing!
Another day, I was on a mission
Definitely rugged area, so there could be some good gold hidden in there!
There is just too deep for me
Get in Da’ Riva!! 🏊♂️ 💦 👀
I know what I’m looking for. That’s the problem
@@Goldhunter7769 - just joking with you. I enjoy your videos !!
Do you know how to tell if you hit bead rock, all the other rocks will be sleeping on it.I thought that up watching Jeff Williams.
That’s a good one 😹
You know you’re in Gods country when you have no cell service 😁
Is there a place locally where I can buy a wet suit for sniping ? I live over in Coos Bay.
