She blows us all away every time Aron...not just you. Her indescribable talent and musicality is beyond the norm. Have said it before, 1000's of singers on the planet, very good singers...very very few master vocal artists like you see here....count them on one hand over past decades...master vocalist at age 11!!! I think I told you this before, but she sings this whole concert and completely knocks every song out of the park! Norwegians are known for their great jazz bands and performers. You would enjoy watching the whole concert, especially since the horns are so good here as well.

Not a surprise, another member of A-Aron's Angelina club, beat me to this request. If I only had one song that I could listen to, for the rest of my life, it would be this performance. Hits all the right emotions to feed my melancholy mood. I am still working on my time machine, so I can go back to attend this concert, where 11 year old Angelina and the band were both on top of their game, performing 15 songs.

You are getting very close to one of my favorites "Loving You" at this same gig. I think she also did "Faded" here as well (or a concert just like this one) but I liked this version of Faded much more than her performance with Alan Walker. No cold and more depth. Anyway hope you get to them and thanks for the great reactions.
Boris has the entire concert on his site well worth listening to. It's the one I would have most liked to be at, its so relaxed and natural sounding. Great reaction as usual.
That whole set was shockingly good, she belts Lovin’ You while dancing to a rock shuffle and Diamonds Are Forever is still echoing in that forest to this day.
I love all these older concerts with her and some of these small bands, all of them loaded with talent and obviously appreciating hers, which, per her norm, is over the top. What it would have been like to just sort of live in the neighborhood., so near to heaven.
This is sophisticated smooth jazz by a frickin' pre-teen. The version she sang a year later with the Norway Military Band is great, but she can't improvise with 40+ musicians reading the music. With this small jazz band she can just sing it as she feels it & they just follow her. She is just playing, Angelina style, & that's when she's at her best. Most of my top favorites from her are from when she was older, but this one is a Masterclass for any age. Great reaction A-Aron, love your breakdowns!
This will always be at the top of my list of Angelina's concert performances. There were a string of concerts at small venues in the Summer of 2017 - this was the penultimate one I think on 27th, Proysenfestivalen. All the songs were top notch, with this this one particularly standing out. Boris Palenovski recorded this on a simple camcorder, professional equipment was not allowed. The sound balance was an issue, but at these outdoor venues it must be very difficult.
This is just beyond heavenly, smooth as silk, again she gives me another favourite version of a song she is ethereal , mesmeric and my favourite ever artist by a country mile, AJ forever. 💜😇👣

Not that I don't like this, but just in terms of listening, I prefer the release from the album. There is probably not another 11 to 12 year old on the planet who could do this better than Angelina did.
I never thought I’d hear a better version of this than Julie London’s hit recording in the 1950’s, but Angelina gives it her amazing musicality and effortless vocal dynamics and riffs-and I love it. Her version has its own vibe. As others have mentioned, her upbeat jazz cover of Lovin’ You at this same concert is a completely different Angelina-rocking the house and giving us power, belts, intentionally distorted belts, and incredible musical energy. It’s one of her most entertaining performances, and she knocks it off so effortlessly.
This concert was one of the first where her succession of Shirley Bassey as the Bond songstress was first toyed with. She did an amazing version of Diamond's are Forever, and this one had a very clear Bond theme intro, and Angelina played the game by doing the intro to this song along with the Bond theme in the background. Shirley is now 87, but Angelina is ready to crawl into the racecar as relief driver.

With all the spirits banging around into each other somewhere far away, one of them banged into Ella's spirit and told her, "Ella, you got to hear this kid sing 'Cry Me a River', you won't believe it!" To which Ella replied, "Oh, believe me, I did! She is fantastic and and I'm going to keep my eye on her! She can do anything she wants to do but I'm happy because she will be reintroducing our kind of music to the current generation!"

I'm fully familiar with Julie London's rendition from back in the 50's, and feel she is 'The Gold Standard' in my estimation. Angelina stays 'spot on' with Julie's version of the song and just mesmerizes me.

This is a CONCERT. A CONCERT, not an operatic rehash, single piece of some classic work. This is a performance that runs all over the place from Ella to James Bond, AT ELEVEN.
When she was 12, I believe, she was practicing with the band for this song in a room. She was very much acting her and being funny, teasing her uncle and fake crying all while singing.
norway has a vibrant and active art culture where open park goup sing alongs with community orchestras are filled with musicians that discovered talent in school and school supported them the entire time until they grow out and choose public bands, orchestras etc. she was a product of that as well but became this but haveing a band was not an issue at any age.

Aron, with all due respect, at first listen, I find that the version sung by AJ is closer to the one performed by Julie London (1955 version) than to that of Ella Fitzgerald (1961 version), but after listening to the two versions back to back, I find that AJ's interpretation is both a mixture of these 2 (Ella's inflections and Julie's jazzy smoothness)... and, I would say, that She took the best of both and injected it into her performance. please listen to Julie London's version... ua-cam.com/video/qSo3wopuiwI/v-deo.html but I would say that AJ, at 11 years old, for this whole concert, is truly masterful, and as you say, it's a real treat.
For me Angelinas runs have always been more instrumental. Angelina uses her voice like a slide trombone here. For my taste ANGELINA is always mixed with her vocals too low volume in the mix. I think that is partially because Angelina does not see the musicians as less important than her.

In Angelina’s early years she didn’t know what to do with herself during instrumental solos, while waiting for her time to sing again.

norway has a vibrant and active art culture where open park goup sing alongs with community orchestras are filled with musicians that discovered talent in school and school supported them the entire time until they grow out and choose public bands, orchestras etc. she was a product of that as well but became this but haveing a band was not an issue at any age.

Aron, with all due respect, at first listen, I find that the version sung by AJ is closer to the one performed by Julie London (1955 version) than to that of Ella Fitzgerald (1961 version), but after listening to the two versions back to back, I find that AJ's interpretation is both a mixture of these 2 (Ella's inflections and Julie's jazzy smoothness)... and, I would say, that She took the best of both and injected it into her performance.

but I would say that AJ, at 11 years old, for this whole concert, is truly masterful, and as you say, it's a real treat.
For me Angelinas runs have always been more instrumental. Angelina uses her voice like a slide trombone here. For my taste ANGELINA is always mixed with her vocals too low volume in the mix. I think that is partially because Angelina does not see the musicians as less important than her.
