People should start re thinking before buying things that are easily disposable.. thank you for sharing this video and setting a good example for people to look up to!! xx
For a 20 year old bike, this was in exceptional good condition to begin with, but you took it a stage further and made it something special, awesome restoration and a very nice video as well
.That bike was pristine at the start compared to most 20 year old bikes unless they were heavily maintained along the way. I wouldn't think a bike of that quality would have got much love. Bottom bracket looked like new. When you get a bottom bracket that you need a 3 foot long cheater bar to break lose then your getting a real restoration.
Why do so many people trash talk cheap bikes here. Is it to feel better about the large sum they sunk into theirs? Cheap bikes are fun. So what if they are cheap. You can fix them and just keep tightening things down. Sometimes it's just not worth it to spend $500 or $1000 or more on a bike.
And after I watch all I fell like I loose my time😁 you better pay 3-4 euro and go with bicycle at car wash station, you clean there, its easy after you can oil and fix it, what you do it's really a stupidly
My advice is to try restoration for a brand bicycle... Not like this... No name and bad and fake, or cheap components...and another advice... You can buy differents type of solutions, oils, tools to make everything more professionally... I do bicycle repairs for more than 15 yrs... But only for me and for closer friends, I start with Chinese bmx... But now I fix and rebuild brands of bicycle made in Holland, Germany or Italy, gazelle, batavus... Etc

Thank you for your comment, I totally agree :) We should save and fix things instead of replacing them.

I always admired people who restore stuff! Giving life to otherwise forgotten items is simply beautiful
Thank you for your kind words and for the subscription! Appreciate it! :)
This is a proper restoration not one of the rubbish ones where they spray over the rust. Nice video :)
I saw an old bike that's on the same condition and the owner wanted to junk it. Im thinking if should buy it and Restore..
You should send it over :)
It's funny how toothbrushes get relagated to cleaning brushes. 🤔😄

Thanks for giving me an idea on how to fix a still healthy bike.

I don't think it's 20 years old, because they have new brake system

@@Buildistic Ukraine and the bike is from Italy
@@Vitaliy250 I didn't know that
does vinegar remove paint? i got some painted aluminum pedals and id like to get them bare, if not got any recommendations?
No, vinegar won´t work. You should use paint stripper!
I found a bike in slightly similar condition to this bike for about $30 USD. Should I take it or leave it?
Take it
👍
What did you use to clean the parts with?
I used hot soapy water first, then vinegar (green bottle) to get rid of the rust :)
How many hours for the restoration and cost of new parts?
You need to talk in your videos but otherwise a good video
Hi sir where is next episode

What's the brand of this bike?
'HILLSIDE' is written on the frame. I'm not sure if it is even a brand :)

A precious thing doesn't come from the price, sir. It might be a part of his history that anyone can't count.
