It was never about the "degeneracy"...
It was about siding with the lefties...
You can do ANYTHING you want if you side with them...
And they wil always find something to ruin you with if you ever go against them...
Drawings animations bad, Real life victims good.
This "ethic" is so unbelievably cynical, it presupposes that every person is already their best self and can't or won't change or grow as they experience life's challenges. It also seems like an excuse for them to not grow or change.
it's like crab in a bucket mentality.
It also demonstrates that their understanding of themselves is limited to a handful of one-word labels.
BOOM.
The ethic is antiChristian, in a nutshell. The Christian worldview is that you aren’t born a Christian and you need to repent/convert/commit.
This creates a society that truly embraces tabula rasa because no one is perfect. Self improvement is worthy of applause because if your eternal metaphysical self can improve its position, your social, physical, financial self can improve as well.
The Marxist assertions is that humans are worth the same (enlightenment) but they are not allowed to be equal because of birth into their social class. Neo Marxism added race and sexuality etc etc etc. but immutable characteristics can’t change and they then dig up slavery and gay bashing , decades and centuries old problems, to justify the neo
Marxism world view. Weird that they start dragging in Islam...
But it’s a notion of the immutability and the filthy pack animal tactics of far leftists that stands against that idea of progress within the individual. The far left has SO MANY losers (Rittenhouse shot three degenerates) that it is easier to tell them all that self improvement and turning away (repenting) from their path of failure will take them to their promised land of health, happiness and dignity.
Timblr and Twitter is merely allowing all these Cluster B train wrecks to congregate just like 4chan, and they are purity spiralling so fast....
Protestant Christianity really cements a certain worldview and we are seeing what atheism can look like. Communism is always bad, atheism is a great vector for communists to abuse. 💡
That's the reason many of them can be talentless yet smug narcisistic poor excuses of artists who refuses to get better and they take any constructed criticizism towards their so called art as "harrassment and hate speeches".
@@davidfrancisco3502 it’s tragic but ultimately, are any communists actually artists? Or are they just sponsored activists?
Cynically, what is different to the Christian musicians being propped up by the mega churches?? They aren’t pumping out truly brilliant art, they are just churning out propaganda product. There is nothing wrong with that, except when you start telling vulnerable people that they are obliged to support such things. I’m sure Harvey Weinstein had many similar conversations with his investors. “You need to support this for our cause to proceed”. It’s probably the reason for the JQ but everyone does it...
The issue is that talent and quality is not easy to determine...
"Proshipping"?
They had to made a new term for just leaving people the hell alone?
Shipping can be cringey as all hell, there's no denying it. Every fandom is guilty of it from time to time, it's pretty much obligatory.
But I'm not gonna assume you're just this monster of a person right off the bat because I don't like it. Like the dude that was going on that tangent about shipping two fictional characters was just so horrible and a mortal sin. I mean, holy shit dude. Do yourself a favor and get off the internet for a while. Go outside and actually socialize with people. It would do you a world of good.
@@frug5629 well I think shipping is not cringey.....its an important part of our society.........you wouldn't have the stuff you have now(presumably) it had to include shipping......I don't understand this whole anti-shipping.....what you want everything to be delivered by Aerodyne shipping is a valuable job.
It’s for in group out group signaling
I thought this was just agreeing to disagree and leaving it at that.
Seriously, so if someone *doesn't* get attacked for not riding & worshiping the bandwagon 24/7, *that's* the notable event.
I really don't understand those "fiction affect reality" people. Usually you dismantle those people with the argument they always can't answer: "okay, so if I draw a picture of me killing Mickey, am I a murder now, since for you, fiction affect reality?" or "If I kill someone in a video game, do videogame produce killers like the conservative senators in the 90's claimed and they're pro violence?"
They usually dodge the question with "Yikes! False comparations!", but it's not a false comparation. It's the argument "fiction affecting reality" a selective one? If so, how selective it is? Why murder in fiction doesn't affect reality but sex in fiction does? What are the metrics?
Those people instantly crumble when this argument is presented to them and run away, or call you names and act like you defend immoral acts.
Selective moral outrage. The dumb fckers think fiction is the same as reality
The whole "yikes" shit is just the woke equivalent of calling something heretical. There is no rational thought behind it
Don't understand them. We have beaten this dead horse with definitive science so many times, yet they keep on insisting on resurrecting it with necromancy because they are fucking retarded moral busy bodies. Don't argue with them, laugh at them. They have also proven they are beyond understanding and reason; they only wish to push their dogma.
Especially with people who oppose loli , I almost lost a friend cause didn't let go of wanting to discuss it once but I'm glad he doesn't hate me for it , though I decided to go the to each their own route and not discuss it even though due to canadian law saying their just drawings isn't an argument, but ya fiction doesn't effect reality
"why are you looking at loli art? do you want to normalize pedophilia?"
yes.
whether i believe that or not doesnt matter, the reaction is always the same, either shocked pikachus or someone frothing at the mouth from an imaginary moral high ground. then again you can get that for totally mundane statements too, so..
Non-binary is just a fancy way of saying “I’m not like other girls”
Basically, but I believe it has more to do with subversion of the feminine ideal as beautiful, demure, and coquettish this late in the game on social liberalism. Dev might've done a vid on the destruction of beauty, if not Lotus Eaters.
Nailed it.
Damn, you didn't just kick nonbinary to the floor, you threw a molotov while they were down there.
LoL. This is perfect.
A girl I've been chatting with told me "You're not like a lot of the other guys that I meet on these apps" and my response, trying to be cute was "Without sounding like a lead in a John Hughes movie, I'm not like most guys" and I was about half afraid she was gonna think I that it meant I was bi/non-binary/asexual something of that matter.
As a black man who realized at 16 that society doesn't actually give a shit about the individual, the only solution to the problem that I could come up with is to live a solitary life outside of society. Yet everyone around me tried their damndest to get me to change my mind "think of all the people who love you you'd be leaving Behind!" and other such nonsense. The only reason I didn't pursue my goal is because living in America, after doing extensive research I realized just how hard it would be to truly "Live off the grid". So Instead I've tried my hardest to be as open minded to others life styles as possible and accept everyone. Fast forward to current year and now I'm looked at as a race-traitor simply for believing that not everything is the fault of white people. If I try to inject logic, reason and facts into a controversial current event I'm called a bigot or a coon. The worst part of it all is that due to current circumstances in my personal life, I would no longer be able to live outside of society on my own. So now I'm forced to sit idly by and be bombarded by people who say "black lives matter" yet would probably try to slit my throat if they heard me say something like all lives matter. I have friends who I no longer talk to simply because they are so extreme in their views on social justice, that they don't even want to hear counter-arguments. Everything I've once loved has been poisoned by this victim-hood ideology that by the looks of it, will be the death of democracy (If it ever actually really existed).
Sorry for the wall of text, I just needed to vent.
I hope you find peace, dear friend.

I've been reading a book called the fourth turning and it talks about a crisis that we are going through right now. There are an incredible amount of petty authoritarians who are trying to Gaslight other people into treating them like their rulers. I've been noticing this ever since 2015 when I really started to get into politics and I've been wondering why no one else has noticed it. I'm glad people are starting to catch on.

@@TRENCHESandTREADS Yep, I noticed this at university in the early 00's in my business classes (usually a good diversion from my engineering classes). Journalism majors in the politics cross over subjects were utterly insufferable and self-important, only their worldview was absolutely correct but it was based on zero knowledge of anything in the real world. Needless to say I riled a few of them up with logic and debate in tutorial classes.
I am now well-read enough to identify the ideological underpinnings (these ideologies are much more confident now as well) but even then I knew these people were not true liberals even though at the time they would have identified as such.
its been around for a while, the internet makes it a lot easier to voice your opinion without the threat of violence and embarrassment. humans were just never meant to be this social. even extroverts need to be introverted at times.
I actually noticed it around 07-08 which is when I became politically active and doing some historical research you can trace the roots of this nonsense back very far, they just became more brazen with time peaking around the 2016 election when they just went absolutely apeshit over trump and never really calming down since then, but it really became impossible to ignore for me with the Obama era and the endless race grifting and inflammation of tensions.
I'll quote TBBT on this
"Sheldon you don't have a personality, you have some shows that you like"
Imagine caring about the relationships of fictional characters
If you are too ugly for a relationship fiction is all you have.
@ Ugly Garbage Boy
Heard of Dynasty? Our mothers and grandmas were crazy about relationships of fictional people in there. In fact, that's why soap operas were always so popular - lots of drama over fictional relationship and affairs. Then, after they finish watching current episode, they go to their neighbor and talk about nothing but that. Sometimes creating so much tension and disagreement that it turns into mutual lifelong hatred, over a dumb relationship in a fictional tv show.
In its essence, what happens today isn't any different than that. What changed is the scale, the speed at which it spreads, and the range at which it can spread. It was always there, but never was it so exposed and so much in the open.
@@AShockToTheSystem but why should you be overly religious about it there’s is still no need

VEGGETEL
As Christian, I do take comfort in moral absolutism rather than trying to wallow through the mire of moral relativism.
Plus, anything that is virtuous, lovely, of good report, or praiseworthy, to seek after it.
The problem with that is Christianity has been defanged and doesn't have the moral weight to insist on those self-imposed absolute truths. People who stay Christian will be fine, for a time, but just like the country bumpkin "pagans" of ancient Rome the modern Christians will be torn to ribbons on the altar of a new dogma that presupposes its inherent goodness and truth. Frankly its the only silver lining we have, it took two thousand years but there's finally a new religion that has the cultural capital to do to Christianity what it did to the Pax Deorum. Hopefully we learn our lesson this time and side-step a millennia of war and dogmatism.

I find the concept of "normalizing through fantasy media" to be completely obnoxious. The fantasy is likely there regardless of the media and if you give it no outlet it will eventually burst out in the ugliest manner imaginable.

To point out an Anime/Manga example.
In Fate Kalied Prisma Illya Season 2.5, that episode where one of Illya's friends becomes obsessed with Dojinshi and becomes a Fujoshi who ships 3 of her female friends as 3 males who are attracted to each other.
I think that episode is the perfect example of how to treat shipping and other kinks.
Let them enjoy what they enjoy as long as they are not hurting others.
If you are uncomfortable with their shipping kinks, then pretend not to notice and move on in life.
And to the person who enjoys shipping and other kinks, enjoy what you enjoy as long as you don't hurt others, but don't make it your own identity.
It's amazing that some folks think being okay with something in fiction is the same as being okay with it IRL.

After recent shit, it's debatable whether being gay is an immutable characteristic.
@M G Yes it does seem to most of the time.
@M G If you dress, act, or otherwise think differently because your whole identity is 'being gay' then I would say it's pretty obvious that it affects one's character, and as NineS correctly calls out, there's lots of evidence to suggest that there are gay people who are gay purely because of childhood sexual abuse or because they were raised to be gay. Gay parents are significantly more likely to raise gay kids, even if the kids are adopted, that means not all gay people are born that way, some of them are made.
@M G You shouldn't? I haven't prescribed a value judgement to being gay, only that saying they're born that way is demonstrably false, at least in some cases.
The reason it could matter to you though is if you care about people being corrupted by others. Someone who is born that way should be allowed to express themselves, but conversely shouldn't that also be the case for all the normal kids? They weren't born gay but their parents, or society, or an abuser made them so.
@M G is it fair to try to drive them away from gayness though? Thats the point of contention. I would for sure say that a straight way of life is much better in average, you get to raise your own children and not be a biological dead end, with the other person that also made them, you have to deal with the complementarity of the sexes and can't be all promiscuous unless you're crazy rich.
That you have *DECLARE* to not HARASS people for other their opinions...
Holy shit, that went even further.
> fiction doesn't affect reality, if that were true then representation wouldn't matter
Omg, those are two sentences I absolutely agree with XD
I have said this before and will say it forever; representation doesn't matter because "representation is a luxury, not a need", being represented is great but you absolutely don't need it, like, how many countries in the world do these people think exist? I'm telling you, more than the ones represented in any media, I see some USians (aka, Americans) saying "we are representing Latinos, here, look at this group full of Latino people" and we see only Mexicans, like, that's Mexican representation, not Latino, they are unintendedly excluding people from _Peru, Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Belice, República Dominicana, etc._ And I have never seen people from these countries saying they need to be represented in media, they are just happy when the happen to be represented, just like Mexicans before the trend for representing us, because we as thirdworld people understand one simple fact, representation in media is useless because he have more important things and problems to focus on rather than if the description of any character includes us.
1:41 god, this is so true. Anytime I see someone utter the phrase “a TRUE FAN would....(insert literally whatever)” my brain just turns off entirely. Why some people base so much of their personality on other people’s work is beyond me..
Edit: I get why young people (as in teenagers) do it, my confusion comes adults who make “being a fan” their entire existence. Hell, I have things I am a fan of, but they don’t rule who I am as a person... it’s like when people won’t consider making someone a friend unless that person like the same music as them- it’s just weird, and frankly, shallow.

Their entire argument is a non-starter. The whole argument hinges on the idea of "representation" being both valid and positive which I wholly disagree. I find the whole representation argument so stupid but I feel it never gets addressed, the framing of "representation is legitimate and/or good" is accepted and only the things around "representation" itself are addressed, at which point you are arguing from their perspective, just disagreeing to aspects of it.
The science around this idea is very limited and dubious and what effect it does have (namely the mere-exposure effect) really only improves perceptions of groups that the person being influenced has had little to no exposure with. Because let's face it that's really all it's about, changing perceptions of so called "oppressed groups," a weird way of warping reality and culture through media.
The thing is at this point homosexuality (this is a main target for "representation") is so wide spread you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that doesn't know someone that is homosexual. The same for minority groups (another big target for "representation") because seriously who tf has never met a black person or asian in their lives, the line of thinking is comical and almost racist on it's face.
Definitely think this is a good idea for a video as I don't think it's a topic that is tackled hard enough and it's one of the main blind spots that these subversive types use to weasel into established media and start making arbitrary, sometimes major changes for the sake of "representation" rather than artistic vision or story significance.

People who believe that good is a point of view and love to deal in absolutes? Let's just call them Sith and be done with it.
The Sith are about as amoral as it gets, they believe in power and obtaining that power to achieve their goals, good and evil are irrelevant categories. The Jedi are closer to what you point out, they have a dogmatic view of the Force and anyone who rejects that view and path are being "tempted by the Dark Side", even those who are just grey Jedi. Not to say the Sith are moral paragons, as I said before they don't even indulge in the notion, but they don't actually deal in absolutes or dogmatic moral hierarchies, its just about knowledge and power, the goals met by obtaining those will vary wildly from Sith to Sith. So lesson of the day, don't take advice on morality from space wizards, they're all out of touch.
@@theeccentrictripper3863 Sith are based-&-redpilled...
The operative word you're looking for is *arbitrary*. The classical liberal position is to oppose arbitrary discrimination. Discrimination by characteristics that are pertinent, even immutable characteristics, is perfectly reasonable: it's OK to discriminate against the blind when selecting a driving instructor, to discriminate against the overweight when selecting a fireman or discriminating against men and Whamen of Colour when hiring an actress to portray Anne Boleyn.
As for the loli issue, freedom of expression, especially in art, is a hill I will die on. Pragmatically, there is no objective way you could stop it anyway, and any attempt to do so would only lead to a censorship spiral. But even if we take practical considerations out of the equation I don't think prohibiting loli, or any kind of "offensive" art, is morally desirable. Offense is subjective, after all, as is art for that matter. Not to mention banning the topic would also mean banning any work that is critical of pedos.
As for the pedos, I think intellectual consistency demands that we treat the argument that sexuality/sexual attraction is involuntary seriously. If being gay is not a choice we have to at least consider that being attracted to kids is likewise. That doesn't mean we have to accept step 2 of the MAP argument, that therefore underage sex is toteslegit and anyone opposed is a bigot, obviously not. Kids cannot consent, adult gays or straights can, that's the crucial difference. To be clear, 'm distinguishing between attraction to minors and child molestation here, the latter is obviously immoral and contemptable.
I view pedophilia as a serious mental disorder, where it is in everyone's best interest, including the "patient", for that person to be isolated from society at large and/or monitored, lest they act on their impulses.
This, although the last bit about isolating people for thought crimes seems way too 1984 for me. Maybe its more dangerous to let people like that run free, but I don't see the morality in locking up people who have serious issues internally but can mitigate that and behave in an ethical and responsible manner. If they offend yeah bury them under the jail no two ways about that, but everybody has bad stuff in their heads, whether you wanted to beat your boss half to death or backhand a misbehaving child or whatever socially unacceptable behavior your brain has shoved to the forefront, so long as it remains there you're still a decent person and shouldn't be condemned by all mankind. Definitely have to reiterate because some people just don't like reading, if they offend put them under the jail, there's no question about that.
@@theeccentrictripper3863 I appreciate the point about thought-crime, however I don't think that's the best frame to look at this issue from. Assuming that pedophilia is an immutable characteristic, it's not analogous to incidental dark/violent thoughts in an otherwise normal person. I think the better comparison would be someone who regularly has violent fantasies.
When we lock up schizophrenics or people with very bad dementia, it's not because we're punishing them for a pre-crime, it's because we recognise that that person's mental impairment makes them a danger to themselves and others. Restricting their freedom of movement is seen as a lesser evil than the risk they'd pose to themselves if left on the streets. Now obviously those are extreme cases, but I think the same type of argument can be made for pedos, just not to the same extent.
And to be clear, I don't think jailing these non-offending pedos would be the most effective or moral approach. I imagine something like a small gated community that's explicitly not close to any schools and doesn't have families with children living in it would already be a big improvement as reducing contact between the pedos and children would reduce the temptation and limit opportunities to offend.
@@AliRadicali You make fair points but in the end I feel like we'd end up violating many more individuals' rights than if we left it alone, I mean how do you judge someone as a pedophile before they've offended? Do we scour their internet history for problematic content? Do we hook up little cables to your dong and see if you get an itch from a picture? Ferreting out people who otherwise live normal lives will require a pretty extensive police state or a very accepting populace, neither of which I assume are acceptable eventualities. Honestly for the same reason I'm against locking up Schizophrenics and other mentally ill people who haven't committed crimes. Also will it be forever? Do we permanently remove the right of free movement and free association because we're afraid? Maybe you'd argue "If it saves one child", but isn't that the argument we're railing against with the lockdowns? I can't say I know the right answer, honestly I think there really isn't one and it will always be an evil that plagues us, much like war or famine or theft. I'm not convinced violating the rights of the masses to isolate the pedophiles who then have their rights stripped from them prematurely and potentially forever is an acceptable solution.
Immutable definition: “unchanging over time or unable to be changed.”
One may find this shocking, but people can stop being gay or trans, people do change sometimes, it happens more often than the media would have you think.
I’m just pointing out that being gay or trans cannot therefore be an immutable characteristic as you literally can change those characteristics if you choose to. A gay man can decide that he is no longer gay or maybe his preference CHANGES over time, a trans woman can go back to being a man, these characteristics are literally not immutable.
...you are coming in favour of conversion therapy if that's the case.
People complain about loli... but not shota (which is basically same) nor Vore (which is commonly considered weird even in Japan) or Guro (which is pretty much peak of how messed up you even can be with fictional art).
I mean: I'm certainly not pro censorship of any of that but the way some people approach it seems very weird. You would have to assume they are a-ok with murder and cannibalism aaand consider that boys cannot be possibly molested (yet consider all priests molesters... of... boys?... eh??).

I think religion is exactly where our standards must derive. Without overarching narratives undergirding the liberal framework, it falls apart. There is actually a direct link between the rise of liberal democracy and the presence of Protestant missionaries in a country. I feel like you go so near to Christianity time and time again but always swerve away. Even in your last video about how the body and mind are not disconnected, I was thinking of the incarnation. I would be glad to have a conversation with you about these things as a young Christian minister if you'd like.

@@enceladusdarkhart7048 I would say just Christianity. Not just any religion will do, especially if you are interested in maintaining the liberal order. Liberalism is derived from the Christian worldview. But, more than that, the Christian understanding of the value of the individual, its insistence upon identity based in the transcendent, its recognition of the many different false gods which we so easily fall into, all of this makes it more robust precisely for what we are facing today. On a deeper level, I would say it is because Christianity has most accurately understood the fundamental reality of Being through Jesus Christ.

damn, another solid take Dev.
I've been thinking lately about the claim that the immutability of a trait is one of the key factors that makes it wrong to discriminate against it. It's something I used to believe, but I no longer agree. While it does make sense that it is unfair to judge a person for an aspect that they did not choose and cannot control, the degree to which it is wrong to discriminate for it seems entirely unrelated. For instance, if people had the ability to fully and perfectly switch their race at will, I couldn't argue that discrimination against race is suddenly less wrong. On the other hand, if race were 100% provably tied to behavior, it would be more justified (albeit still messy), whether race could be switched at will or not. In such a case, the act of switching race could have moral value ascribed to it, depending on what behaviors the different races produced.
If people started keying red cars all across the country, the fact that you could simply paint your car a different color to avoid the discrimination wouldn't make the discriminatory act more justified to any degree. The option of choice seems irrelevant, unless we can ascribe some form of moral or societal value to that choice, such as with obesity or improper sexual acts. If someone were born with no sense of compassion and prone to erratic burst of violence, we may be more sympathetic to them than if they chose to act in such a way, but it would be just as valid to discriminate against this person regardless, given the inherent danger they pose to others.
That's how I see it, anyway.
Representation so doesn't matter. I don't watch "normal" TV as a rule. I mainly watch anime and the types of anime I watch usually have a cast of primarily female asian characters of high school age or slightly older/younger.
