I am 68 years old and have played the trumpet since I was 10. Doc was my main inspiration and influence that has given me a lifetime of enjoyment. I doubt I will make to 95, let alone and play like the Doctor! Doc we love You man! Thank you for all that you have done for the world of music and trumpet playing!

God Bless Doc, thats when late night was late night!! The tonight show with Carson was the best entertainment ever on the television!! This gentleman added to the entertainment experience, there will never be a show with such talent in one show again. Starting in Jr High, would set my alarm for 11:30 to watch the tonight show then go back to sleep, it was my favorite show.

I am happy you liked the video. I agree with everything you said. They were also showing highlights of the Johny Carson show but I could not put them in the video because I thought they might take the video down. I wanted to be sure people saw this. Thanks you.

It's amazing that someone can even live to be 95 - even more amazing to see someone that age playing the trumpet that well. He's the greatest ever.

How does this man look, act, and sound 25 years younger than he really is. Unbelievable. The people I have seen still going strong in their 90's had/have one thing in common, they never actual retired from the thing they love doing most.

'self-improvement' on the trumpet, a term he used some time ago in place of

It's great to see the legendary Doc Severinsen playing! I wish one of his many friends with the means, would give him a well deserved tribute concert. I'm in trumpet heaven whenever I listen to any of his performances. His incredible, magnificent unique sound, artistry and virtuosity covers the whole spectrum of the instrument, with unmatched power and feeling. Doc, without a doubt, will always be considered one of the greatest trumpeters ever. His legacy as a musician, band leader, educator and entertainer will continue to inspire all generations to follow. He will always be my #1 trumpet idol.

I think if i can play like that at 94 l'll be a happy man. I have always been a fan and listened to what he has to say about music and of course trumpet playing. There was a radio show that had his version of round Midnight as theme tune. I heard that every day almost for 30 yrs.
