I took a break from sea fishing myself in my mid twenties, Just doing the odd spinning trip in the summer. I was predominately a fly angler for many years and I still love my Stillwaters, Thrunton, Chatton Sweethope etc I’ve bought a camper this month so I’ve got lots of stuff planned for next year! Hi love your vids. Silly question perhaps, but do you connect your drogue to an anchor trolley, i just bought an Abu Garcia drogue but not done a trolley... yet.
Yes I do, I have a trolley on my left hand side, on the sturgeon it just attaches to the existing fittings which is a real bonus. It’s important to be able to point the bow or the stern into the swell if it’s coming with the wind (it nearly always is) and for me it means I can hold the kayak with the sun behind the lens as well no matter which way the wind is blowing.
Another great video Chris highlighting some really nice catches, I love the bonus soaking at the end, really made my day as I sit here in the office waiting for a Customer that may never come lol What did you do with your old Kayak when you upgraded to the FX?

I sold my old sturgeon to a local fella looking to upgrade, he got a canny deal! 😊. Lots of stuff planned for the new year, I can expand my horizons a little now as I’ve just bought a camper van. All is good Mr Bear, it’s been tough going here as well weather wise. I’ve managed to get a few fly sessions in on the stillwaters but the sea has been a no-go recently. I have bought myself a motor home so that has been keeping me busy, getting it ready for summer fishing adventures. Hope you are well sir 🎣
@@onthedropfishing that’s great!! Where I live I fish the Irish Sea/channel between NI and Scotland and it’s rubbish all the fish are small and only can be caught in summer, I don’t understand it any idea as to why?

There are plenty of fish during the summer months pollock coleys cod mackerel wrasse etc however hardly anything at legal keeping sizes and there is literally nothing there in the winter , I fish lures soft plastics mostly I fish from my sib! I would love to know why everything is so small and why no fish in winter

Did you change fish finder somepoint in the year? Some cracking fish caught.
Yes I did, I changed from a Garmin Striker 4 plus to a Lowrance Hook Reveal 5, I also changed kayak as well 👍
