Good morning Nikki! I have just recently found your channel. I’m 55 years old so I watch several of the channels that are geared towards us more “mature “ gals. I’m so glad that you showed up in my recommended channels but not for the reasons you might think. I saw where someone commented on how you hold your brushes and I was very intrigued. I’ve always held mine in the “normal” way and I have struggled with getting cramps in my fingers. I tried it your way and not only do I have more control of the brush but also I don’t get finger cramps! So thank you for helping in a way I’m sure you never expected. That style applicator was used in the PUR selfie 🤳🏼 foundation.
The sheer releases make sense for summer, but it leaves a lot of us with acne scars and whatnot without the necessary coverage. The GIVE blush looks so good though, my favorite cool shade
PUR has had that type of packaging (as the Makeup by Mario ) for their foundation for years.
I have not seen people riding for PUR so hard until Make Up By Mario lunched this lol

It’s kind of annoying to hear everyone saying how innovative Mario is when PUR came out with this a bazillion years ago. Not only did PUR not get love for the applicator but the foundation is totally overlooked as well!

Love how that Danessa Myrick eye shadow palette smells- like fresh flowers. No one talks about it. BUT this is also a heads up for folks who are allergic to fragrance or prefer unscented makeup, especially eye products 🤍.

I actually really like the Mario bronzer serum. It makes you look so tan and glowy! Perfect for summer when you don’t want a lot of makeup. Almost reminds me of the drunk elephant bronzing drops.
letting the Mario bronzer dry down a bit would perhaps help.

Sephora is getting worse and worse though. First they change how soon you could use your points when buying online, then they started charging you for your own birthday gift every year when it used to be free(online), and I just recently found out they're no longer giving in store samples. I usually buy online so I didn't know this. What's going on?
Why not just use brand websites. You get much better deals. Usually always can find a coupon code and they have great reward programs.
I felt this in my soul, Sephora is already one of my least favorite stores because their deals aren’t great, and point system sucks.
Not only no in store samples (they used to be generous) but when you order online and choose free samples they “forget” to add it to your order. The stores look dirty( nyc area ) the testers are disgusting, yeah Sephora definitely gone downhill
I just picked up my birthday gift and wasn’t charged for it. Sephora is not my first choice in purchasing products.
I get them to make me samples all the time. Before I’ll try any new liquid makeup or skincare, I ask for a sample. I just did this last week.
LOVE LOVE how you explain, demonstrate... and your voice... WOW. My question is I'm 54 and let's say I were to start a full kit, from corrector, concealer, primer, setting powder, eyeshadow palette, etec, etc... what would you recommend? I'd love a video like that for mature skin. Kind of a starter kit for someone that has so much but unsure that it's optimal. Thanks for your wonderfully currated content.

I went with a deeper shade for Mario so that it would show up without me needing to use a lot of product and it’s amazing! I recommend going a shade deeper than your usual so it will give more definition! If I had bought my shade I’d be disappointed but I’m obsessed with the deeper shade!

Totally agree! The skin enhancer is not contour and it’s not to be used with that expectation. But, don’t go too dark or it looks grayish/ashy. I struggled understanding how to use this product and had to watch several PR videos. It’s a sheen enhancer and looks beautiful in natural night. I’m fair with neutral undertones and I finally landed with Medium - I purchase and returned medium dark and deep dark.
So glad you mention this!! When I received medium, it was way too light so I did go on to order darker shade. Before I did, I ordered Saie gel serum bronzer(?) in a deeper shade, because Wayne Goss recommends, e I was dissatisfied day i received Mario. Realized i love serumy gel texture from MbyM but would need half the bottle. So went on to order darker shade of Mario. Like shoes, size up in color at LEAST one shade. Love Armani blushes in serum gel, they are stains e buildable pigment.
I lov these type of products for summer...i hope.

Nikki, have you done the Scott Barnes new old concealer hack? He's brought an old Hollywood trick back to life with the aquaphor lip balm on the undereyes before concealer. I want your thoughts/take. I'm trying the MBM softsculpt bronzing and shaping serum. At 68, I think the more shear serum will be better for me.
That Caliray mascara is just fire!!! Ive tried soooo many, and this one is THE ONLY one I have ever tried that did not mess up my very hooded eyelids. PERFECTION!!

I got the mini size and it was fabulous! It became my fav. I bought the full size snd it was sooo dry and crusty, I returned it. The second full size tube was so wet it made me have like 3 lashes - made them clump together and no amount of combing would spread out the lashes. I wish I could find the perfect tube like my first one 😓 glaf I got to experience its glory at one point. Now I’ve moved on to Clio Kill lash, it’s great
Caliray was my fav mascara also, until I tried the tower 28 mascara. Very similar (no transfer on my hooded eyes) and tower 28 is a little cheaper 😎

People are forgetting that Pur did the same packaging that Mario did with their 4 in 1 Selfie foundation.
Pur did that packaging years ago....long before Mario did.
I think if you like the serum-y aspect of the makeup by Mario but want to save a penny try picking a deeper shade of the loreal true match serum foundation and you will achieve a similar if not quite better effect

@@jayne9662 Drugstore makeup have stepped up their game, and so their prices. Get hold to specials like buy one get one half at several drugstore, that way it’s even better.

Ummmm... why do I need everything in the video!? Nikki you truly have the best tips and I can't tell you how many times you've influenced me into getting products and I end up absolutely LOVING them. Jane Iredale has had a loose powder spf out for ages, it’s great. Especially when you use a hydration spray on top to melt it into the skin, gives a lovely natural finish even on mature skin. Clean beauty every time
I don't think the Mario glowy Bronzer was meant to be used for sculpting. I think it's their version of the bronzing drops like drunk elephant, or how you used the dior star glow.
I actually love this more natural look on you. It's a nice change from the full highly pigmented and saturated makeup tutorials. Please do more of these looks. Thank you! :)

This look 👀 is great on Nikki but those pinks look ashy or off on my olive skin tone I hate it I try to use pinks all the time and I just look so off in that color blue does the same effect on me too and cool tones are just so ashy looking Nikki looks amazing 😻

This look turned out so pretty!! I love 💗 the pink eye with the pink cheek! I’ve really been enjoying the new Saie concealer! I think the cute kite 🪁 powder puffs that One Size just released are so cute! The Fenty foundation looks really beautiful!! I just got a sample of it. I wasn’t sure if it would be too glowy on my skin but so far I really like it!
