This was an absolute joy to watch...I admire your willingness to take on a project that would intimidate most. Your mixer is good for another 40 years...great job Lauree An
Thank you for the video. I will be painting my mom's K-5A which was given to me last weekend after being in storage for almost 30 years. I will be re viewing your video as a guided tutorial. Thanks again.
You are the most patient person on the planet! If this video was shorter I would have loved it more ... I love it 15 minutes worth , maybe 20. Longer than that has to be in person only. With coffee.
@@laureean9785 I began to take apart the tilt head, I realized I had a patina copper one. So I ended up giving it a detailed cleaning and sealing, to keep the copper. But now I guess my son wants me to regrease and give his mixer a Dewalt tool paint job. 😂🤣
I inherited my mother's K 5A. I really need to go through it and grease it but I'm so nervous. We got our as a housewarming gift after our home burnt when I was 5 and our mixer was used quite often while I was growing up. I was really excited to see you painted yours. Did you have any issues with that?
Hi Tina, I didn’t have any issues with painting it, I did strip it completely and that was because previous owners had painted it and I was afraid tho go over that paint, some people clean, scuff sand and go over the original finish. Good luck with yours!
Aide L. I have a K5ss by Hobbart. Does Does anyone know how to adjust the bowl clearance. This machine does not have the screw that adjusts the clearance like the K45ss does. The manual says to consult an authorized dealer for this. I called around and nobody in my area works on mixers. Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you
Great video looking forward to your next project
David Andrews jr thank you!
Great video! Wonderful job!
Nice. Although the 6 quart models are good, I just wish they would make the K5SS model again.
By the way, I love the color of your mixer!

Just changed the grease on an adjustable bowl. Now I’m going to regrease my tilt head and going to paint it, while it’s taken apart. 😬🙏🤣
How did you make out with your mixer?
