- Robin definitely has potential, and for follow up attack enjoyers, she is very powerful. However, for me, she hasn't quite lured me into to steal all my stellar jade. I am currently planning to save for someone more interesting to me

When you want to skip Robin because you didn't get to the 50/50 for Aventurine after 83 pulls and want to save for Firefly. But you also want Robin because you have Topaz, Doc Ratio, and Clara. Plus Jade is around the corner and because the IPC seems to be a bunch of space IRS agents, she'll probably end up being one too so that'll be omega value. (Cries in f2p)
I’m really sad too. I got to 82 pity and lost 50/50 to fcking Welt. I really want Boothill and Firefly so I think this it for me, can’t pull for her, need to save

Man. It's kinda weird to see a Destiny player I enjoyed being so fired up about something I cannot understand at all.
As a guy who used to love destiny I don’t think it’s weird at all. From a financial standpoint it makes sense for him and these types of gacha games can be genuinely fun within reason as a player with self control. But lets not pretend Destiny is some holy grail of gaming in comparison, genuinely it is the most comparative triple a game to gacha games as far as grinding and monetization lol and also not as convenient because it isn’t mobile but charges for every expansion and minor thing on console and PC. You can’t play all of destiny 2 for free as it expands. Which again isn’t a bad thing but come on man, how is it weird to see this, destiny has the same identity on pc and console as things like gacha games do on mobile

I got Robin and Topaz... So excited ha, using Dr.Ratio and Adventurine. For starting like a little over a month ago I'm happy with my team. MOSTLY FTP... mostly..

Yes you should. Keep in mind that in dot she performs the exact same of ruan mei, and with jingliu is also good. Since you have ratio you shoud get her
Ruan Mei is much better imo. Her kit is more universal and provides more bonus’s. Robin is good but she likes follow up attacking teams and thats about it. Plus her singing annoying to me.

Gonna note one more bad thing about Robin's follow up/additional attack to other characters attacks: it seems that the target hit when hitting more than 1 target may be random as all the robin attacks I saw at around the the 6 minute mark of this video wound up hitting a different enemy...granted maybe that's only if it's an attack that hits all enemies without a clear focused target (pretty much the case for all Erudtion characters skills and ults) and for AOE attacks that target a specific enemy and then the 2 on either side of it (most Destruction units skills for example hit 3 targets with the focus being the middle one)...if Robin's follow up always hits a specifically targeted enemy in an AOE situation (middle enemy in say Destruction MC's skill/AOE ult for example) it's kinda fine I guess as you can make sure it'll proc on the intended target (probably a boss) but if it is any one of those 3 than yeah Robin's follow up attack is a lot worse than I though (especially for Erudition characters/characters with skills/ults that hit all enemies which we do know her follow up will hit a random enemy without any way to choose a specific target).
Granted maybe she's bugged and is supposed to hit all enemies (I didn't really look at her skills close enough in the trial nor do I have her so I assumed it would proc on all enemies with how much she was hyped up and called Aventurine's best support (or was it the other way around? Either way with that statement it sounded like Robin would proc attacks on all enemies hit by an attack if they're emphasizing Aventurine as his follow ups are AOE)...I'll have to take another look at her kit in the trial I guess), guess we'll find out next patch/via the news update summaries if they mention a bug for her (almost all new characters seem to have at least 1 bug or somehow an existing character gets a bug that I assume is a result of the new character).
Thankfully I only put 1 10 pull in to see if I'd get lucky instantly (only had less than 10 pity so didn't think it'd happen anyway tbh, hell getting a 5* but losing the 50/50 that early would've been a best case scenario tbh) but decided not to bother anymore as I'm saving up for both Firefly and Jade (have nearly 28K Stellar Jade already so I can guarantee one of them (Firefly tbh as between the two I want her more so if Jade comes first I'm skipping her for Firefly's banner to ensure I get Firefly) no matter what) and I don't want Boothill either tbh.
Robin's ATK buff and party advance forward are nice but I don't need them (I got Ruan Mei and just got Bronya via the silver ticket pulls (now only standard I don't have but want is Himiko..couldn't care less if I never get Baihlu or Yangqing as I've got Luocha/Gallagher/Lynx for healing and Jing Liu for ice dps...my main issue now is PF feels like I actually need good Erudition and 1 other dps type to really get through the waves quickly and at the moment the only good Eru character I have built is Argenti (should go back and build Herta at least...maybe work on Serval tooo now that new orbments are out since I last used her)).
You can see the physical damage shortly after, but it only appears to be on one enemy, not all the ones who were hit.
I need a good sustain and I’m saving for fu Xuan. If I lose her 50/50 then I’m going for firefly. There’s just too many good supports already and Robin is in a tough spot mainly due to necessity. Above all though they need an option to turn off her ult music or lower its volume manually

Pretty sure what IWTL meant by “rarely uses basic attack” is that she’s not generating SP as frequently as a Sp positive support like RM, tingyun, sparkle (3t ult).

Personally I wouldn’t go for her since you have E2 Bronya Sparkle and Ryan Mei plus Topaz aged like fine wine cause of follow up team with aventurine and dr ratio with Ruan mei
Personnally I got my Topaz E0S1 as planned and I’m happy with it, now I will pull on Robin until the end of her banner. If I get her, I’ll be happy but if I don’t, it’s fine, I already have Bronya Ruan Mei and Sparkle, I can make some good FUA teams (also have Ratio and Aventurine E0S1)
Im glad they made sure her ult music doesn’t play in main story fights.

Robin is a test for Firefly lover
I pulled Robin at 7 pity on a 50/50, and she CHANGES EVERYTHING in pure fiction; as long as you can clear a wave before her ult ends you now have permanent buffs and FUAs from her. If a floor caters to something like herta/himeko like the current PF, you can turn on auto and watch the 40k roll in with cycles to spare.
Mtashed when are you in intense battle in HSR last time I checked, you one tapped everything😂😂
Robin’s music doesn’t overwrite boss music, so it’s not too bad
That's nice...would suck to not hear Wildfire in all it's glory if I used Robin's Ult (granted don't have her/not pulling for her but may choose her as a support option once or twice and borrow another player's copy of her for some battles when getting boss materials).

In my opinion, she will be op with follow up attack characters like Topaz, Dr. Ratio and Aventurine. She is also good just as she is but not enough to make me pull for her because my reason being her follow up attack centered buffs.

But combining Robin with Welt is going to be interesting since Welt slows the turns and Robin brings all of them back with her ult. not too sure but i see potential

I am skipping Robin on my main account. I'm like Mtash where I have Brony, Ruin Me and fun sized Yandere =P. However I needed her on my F2P since that account is new and I don't have any 5 star support. It is quite fun having a second account cause since I am playing with different characters.
One other thing, Robin from what I saw doesn't interrupt all music. She doesn't apparently interrupt Wild Fire. UA-cam could have lied, but it makes sense if she didn't interrupt music like that.

I agree with him on this . Having a fully built Ruan mei on my account.. I am already regretting pulling her.. the only specialty she has is that she can advance forward her whole team . Which is cool but we usually run only 1 or 2 damage dealers in our team anyways so I don’t think it makes that big of a difference. And if we compare it to someone like ruan mei which does so many things and not to mention she also provides more damage bonus with her skill compared to robin.. I think robin is an easy skip. But for someone who doesn’t have Ruan Mei, robin can be pretty good investment.
It's just day one and he's running preemptive victory laps. Let's see if he holds during the whole banner. I'm hoping the same for myself. Just decided to save for Firefly after seeing the kit leaks

The Music if it isn't should be a switch so you can turn it on or off don't miss understand me my way of listing to music is listen to it till you vomit and then don't play it for a year+ after that maybe it ends in one of my playlists again. [So I am usually listing to albums for Weeks and single Tracks for Hours and Hours so I wouldn't really have an issue with her singing all day.] :P
music doesnt change on major bosses eg the story ones - at least it didnt in the 2.2 boss fight for me
The only reason I am skipping Robin is because I need Fu Xuan more than I need another 5-star Harmony. I already have Bronya, Ruan Mei and Sparkle. I think I'm good in that area for now. Meanwhile I have no 5-star sustain options except for, technically, Fire Preservation Stelle. So Fu Xuan in phase 2 gets more priority.
I'll also probably have to try for Huohuo on her re-run too. Unless 2.4 has a new 5-star sustain or something. Who knows? lol

Firefly looks tempting, too, but I want to seee her gameplay mechanics first.
Maybe nice to have a dedicated follow-up team of characters stronger than the Himeko-Herta duet. But... the lure or drive is not there. I also haven't use Dr. Ratio regularly, and that was 3-4 months ago. Likely with my current 40 characters, I am experiencing that awakening zen moment, or have stepped into that treshhold on diminishing return.
With Aventurine at 60% build (lvl 60s), he along with Pela, Acheron, and Sparkle can already help makes things less stressful for Swarm Disasters and Golden Gears difficulty V and above.
With 40 characters in collection, there are just simply too many characters that still haven't got the chance to max and/or build decently, including, Jingliu, JIng Yuan, Luocha, Welt, and other E6 characters (mainly Clara, Yukong, Tingyun, Hanya, Qingque, Xueyi, Guinaifen, Serval, Asta, Gallagher).
I dont think I have seen a Star Rail content creator skip ONE TIME, YOU CANT FOOL ME BRO
Meanwhile me with my 50 underbuilt Tingyun as my only support

She is amazing however I already have a ton of amazing supports including RM E1, Sparkle. I also Fu Xuan E1 and Huo Huo. What I don't have is a good blast fire unit to use in MOC that works with my account already so easy skip. But maybe I'll grab her on a re run

I love the follow up characters so far and have already made a follow up team, but my love for the other follow up characters is not enough to make me suffer that song(it is okay at best hearing once) and I am not turning off music for one character only. (That and I feel nothing for her design, I cannot understand the high level of simping for her. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I can usually understand simping for others, but Robin looks like a slightly better dressed NPC to me or 4 star level at the highest). I also have Ruan Mei, Sparkle, Broyna and E6 Tingyun and Pela
I literally got Robin today and found out topaz is needed to complete one of her best teams with Ratio and Aventurine, so my f2p ass completed the new event to the bone and scavenged 14 pulls along with pure fiction rewards and fortunately Topaz decided to come in those 14 pulls 😭🙌. Now i have zero resources for both of them and months of farming begins.
Also does anyone feel like HSR 50/50 is much favourable then genshin? Bcz i have won 5 in a row now as a f2p - Black Swan, Acheron, Aventurine, and now Robin and Topaz.
