Riley was so great because despite being a computer genius, he felt a lot more grounded compared to Ben, Abigail, and Ian. He was basically the audience surrogate calling out how insane all the things happening were, but without winking too hard at the camera to where it became obnoxious (like a lot of modern Marvel movies).
