Pandit?
With due respect and diligence to Prime Minister Nehru, what a wonderful interview.
What an outstanding Prime Minister more courageous than a leader stronger than a man facing lion in his den. Without blinking even a little, even for a second, how brilliantly and with extreme maturity, Nehruji answers all question in his flowery language . When Nehruji speaks, his real concern for India gets clear reflections in his eyes. Every Indian must feel proud of having such an eminent, extraordinarily brilliant, secular, highly mature and gentle leader as the first Prime Minister of India. There must be only one Nehru and he is far above comparison or criticism.
But bjp dont agree they will say something abt wrong side of his personal life.
@@emmanuelvaz3281 Throwing stones on or criticizing the intellectuals is always being done successfully and cunningly by the inefficient.
Dear Sir, Now BJP boasts of ISRO achievements. Scientists of ISRO deserve high appreciation. However, the idea was initiated by Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru in 1962, and in 1969, ISRO was founded by Vikram Sarabhai, promoting Nehruji's idea. But now one, who has nothing to do with this, waves flag, takes credit, as if he were doing everything right from the beginning.
@@sahulhameed156wrong vikram sarabhai had the og idea and not Nehru. Vikram made the Isro successful. Nehru is not above the criticism neither was good economist, his economic policies were mild to say least. He could have done far better job as social leader like Gandhi instead of pm.
Erudite, polite yet straight forward and yes factual. Needs no scrolls to recollect geographic, political, demographic details of every nations around the globe. How much we wish we had such PMs all through !
We were fortunate in having a man at the helm who dazzled the world with his articulation, intellect, perseverance and his faith and love for the country. He gave his best-and his all- for the country he loved.
There can never be another Nehru or anyone remotely resembling Nehru. A person like him comes but once in a lifetime or even in a millennium.

What was fortunate for India was that there were a number of such brilliant minds who came together at the right time when India was just born. Nehru, Patel and Ambedkar were all equally good in their own respect. They each had a role to play in ensuring India progress along the right track.
that was the standard of journalism back years where interviewer and interviewee both have language standards one asks tough questions and other tactfully and smartly answered to thise question one can see the good command over the language and simplicity of Mr. Nehru.....not like todays media where everybody is shouting in the studio on unnecessory hindu muslim debates
How articulated, spontaneous he is. Honesty and dedication show in his words.
India was lucky to have visionary leadership after independence. ❤
Such a charismatic leader who can engage the best intellect of the developed world as equals. And yet, many in India seem to denigrate this great soul unnecessarily
J. Nehru besides being erudite was truly a charmer. Always admired him for he was a visionary and he thought well ahead of his time.
This is the reason why gandhi want nehru to become pm as he is fluent in both hindi and English which makes it easier to him communicating to locals as well as managing the international relations
What a humble, educated, peaceful man.. even in those turbulent times. He was the prime minister we needed.
British agent Nehru was a disaster for India. India remained weak, undeveloped and poor for a long time because of his disastrous economic and defence policies. He was a Hindu-hater as well. Shame on him.

Glad to see our great prime minister Nehruji on tv. A pleasant experience watching him talk to journalists. Thank you BBC. He built democracy in India. Credit for Making India goes to Nehru ji. Salute to Nehruji for uniting and developing the most diversified ( 250 languages ,50 types of religion, thirty five thousand casts etc etc) nation in the world with sensitivity, maturity and vision. Our neighbour has gone to the beggars state because its leaders cheated the masses using emotional politics while Nehruji prioritised education, science and technology for the welfare of the masses . What is very important to learn from this interview for today's Indians is that very bold choices had to be made, there was no guide books Nehru could refer to, to decide which path to take. It was the very beginning of India, mistakes were made but by and large India was benefitted by having Nehru and the others as its founding faters.
What a man. What a leader. What a statesman. Amazing! Once in a few centuries, do we see such men grace humanity.

What a brilliant mind. We should thank him to build our great country.
How good he speaks english in 1950,even he says the beginning of interview he doesn’t know much about television
In the context of questions related to internal affairs of India, the honesty in acknowledging that problems exist and not laying the blame at the door of the British empire really stood out to me. Obviously, there is much more to observe and learn here, but these elements provide an interesting contrast to what we see in the current day.

So intelligently answered by our great PM... God had stopped creating such gentlemen now...
He didn't stop creating them, they're still there. It's just that these gentlemen took too long to realize that politics does not have fair play any longer. Vajpayee was the last of those fair play politicians. These gentlemen are sitting in the Opposition, trying to say what they have to say, but their opponents have nearly unchecked power.
