Its not a very accurate comparison when you make the Pentatonics left side audio channel twice as loud as the original version right side audio channel while also reducing the right side vocal track. So really, the reason they sound just like the original is that your brain is overwriting the original that you can hardly hear with the much louder and clearer pentatonix version. And yes, there are other tricks being played as well.

Yeah I was definitely thinking this when I saw first saw their video - the sound accuracy of this mashup compared to the original songs was insanely good. I was also thinking that the PTX medley showcases Cher's incredible vocal range which I think we've become so used to now that we forget just how good it is.
Um I think I should pass this on since I found it out from someone else but...when they included “Everytime We Touch,” I THOUGHT it was a Cascada song, which was released in the 2000’s, and assumed it wasn’t a 90’s song...but actually...it is. Cascada’s is a 2000s remake version based of the original 90s version from a singer named Maggie Reilly. However, the original song isn’t very upbeat nor “dance party music.” It’s more of a slow ballad. So, for that reason, I see why they did Cascada’s version. Lol
