Speechless and that doesn't happen very often...
As a native Bay Shore, Long Island girl... This just takes me home to some of the best days of my life. It's bittersweet. I'm in NC and haven't seen the ocean in a really long time. But, I can smell the salty seas and even some gasoline right from here. My father, a Bayman, helped build the Robert Moses Bridge so we had vehicle access to Fire Island. I Thank you for the beautiful musical gifts. Extra shout out to the video crew! Grand Slam... Right out of the ballpark!

I loved the fog and mysterious feel of the video...it added more POW factor to the visual part of the song.
Truthfully, this song was written so well that MANY see themselves in the song....be it a loved one that walked away, passed away, or to the special one that broke your heart and moved on to chase their own dreams. This song touches so many people...even down to the bar and poolhall level to encompass us all, not just a fisherman out at sea. I know for me it brings back happy memories on a sailboat with my friends in Tampa (AFTER a terrible breakup) in 2012, so this song has extra meaning for me, like it does many others too I would think. ~penney holley

There is nothing like sitting on the shore as the fog starts rolling in off the bay and envelopes the ships in the ship channel and everything else that was once visible is no longer. Like a big embrace odd the past. Great song. I think we can all relate to friendships that just aren’t there anymore d/t know fault of either party.

You will probably never see this post but I need to put it out in the universe anyway...This morning, I came across this video after watching your newest video and going to your channel to subscribe. I had not seen it before today. In May, My sister and I were taking my travel loving, 88 year old mom on a trip ....likely, her last chance to travel. It was a 19 day trip from North Carolina to Maine. When my plane landed in Phx to meet up with them I got a call that my sisters son in law had just past away. We canceled all our plans and went to his and my Nieces home to be with their family and to make funeral plans. I was tasked with making the video tribute for the funeral. Late one night we were sitting up trying to choose music for the video. I suddenly remembered that just a few weeks before, I had heard this song on the radio and thought to myself at that time, that it would be a lovely song for an occasion like this if it were for the right person. Little did we know that occasion would present itself just a few weeks later and for the right person. When I remembered this song, I played it for my niece and she cried and I cried and we both knew it was the perfect song, for him, for them and for his tribute video. So...... in July we reworked out trip and set off to try take 2 of this adventure. We had shortened the trip some. Taking some things out (North Carolina) and adding some new things in. One of the things we added was a stop in Cape Ann...Gloucester to be specific. We didn't know much about it but I had read an article that talked about Cape Ann and how charming it was so we booked a few nights there. While exploring we came across a light house, THE lighthouse!....I loved it so much, we took so many pictures there on the jetty and it was one of my favorite memories from our trip. Imagine my surprise this morning when I watched the making of the video and saw....THE/Our Lighthouse!! I had watched the music video when it first came out but I never would have made the connection since I had no idea where it was filmed or that I would randomly end up in that same location a few months later. Coincidence? I think not...

Beautiful scenery and touching song. I like that this song can relate and fit so many lives. The song really brings me back to memories of living at the outer banks in the past but it also reminds me of things in my present and what could be in the future. It fits so many instances and relationships and points of life in such a beautiful place. True artistry.
