Update from Husqvarna: 15:18 | In Reduced Mode, the display normally shows the speed on top, the rev counter in the middle and the gear position at the bottom. When you hit reserve, the gear position display is replaced by a bar that tells you that you need to refuel.
I really like that minimalist feature, every manufacturer must think about that. Don’t have to show unnecessary info on the console, it’s just too distracting. Hats off to Husqvarna for doing that! 🫡

Hey Uttkarsh! Feedback noted, but bringing the vehicles into the studio at MotorInc First is logistically impossible. To give you an example, the Mavrick rides were in Bhuj, ~950km from our office and they were pre-production bikes. We'd have to wait a month or more to do a MotorInc First if in-studio vehicles were a thing for us.

Hi shumi , big fan of your journalism having some noob doubts 1. If i am using handle bar raisers and met with an accident due to a totally different issue so can insurer deny the claim? 2. I am planning to buy this bike but tubed tire are bugging me so either i will spent 10 k for way2speed tubeless conversion or will use 250's alloys on this so will it hamper my insurance claim in any way? As insurer will treat them as modification
1. In theory yes, in practice, unlikely 2. We'd change the alloys and ask the agent to add the wheels as an accessory to the insurance policy so they're covered.
@@motorinc Ok we can add it as an accessories but wont the insurer claim that bike actually was made for tubed spoke rims we were using alloys so it made the bikes balance incorrect and due to that accident happened and we are denying you claim ? If possible can you please mention this info in some of your shorts because I was trying to find this information from a long time but it is not present anywhere even chatgpt failed :( thank you
@@motorinc should one buy insurance from the dealer only or go with aftermarket cheaper solution... name few insurers which we should avoid at any cost? Thanks
Can we use michelin pilot street 2 with tube? Will there be any ill effect of using tubes in the tubeless tyres? Apart from instant flat tyres when punctured? Please answer as i couldn't find any leads for it.
Great Video as Usual❤❤ What a nice way to start a Sunday morning. I like the 401 more than 390. Its Subtle but Special at same time. Only question I have is, Since the new 390 Adventure is OTW, will there will be a Norden 401 parallel to it.? Coz I like the Norden 901 more than 890 ADV.
Love this format… especially the fact the one of the host seems so in awe with the other seeming like a guru, one may mistake that the earlier one is happy high…
Hello people, so I've been thinking of getting a speed 400 before this I've only ridden my fathers splendor which at this point is more or less 18+ years old, my question is should i still get the speed 400 ? Is it a good choice ? The reason I'm going for the speed 400 is that everywhere i keep hearing that it's a calm and easy going city bike, plus im confident that i can get used to riding it relatively well in about a week's time
We generally don't recommend bikes over 30bhp for people with limited riding experience (in terms of performance, not years). However, the Speed 400 is, as you say, easy to get on with.
As I keep saying! Marvelous Presentation! Only one thing I'd like to add! The Vocal Audio needs a little bit of tweaking for both of you guys! I mean the It sounds a little muddy at places, the Lows dominate the Mids and the Highs and then again everything comes back to place after a couple of mins! And then it happens again and this whole thing keeps happening throughout the video! Although whatever you guys say is completely audible! It's just that smidge of imperfection and I dont relate with Motorinc!I mean most people wouldn't probably notice it but being a Small Time musician who has learnt a few things about audio balancing it affects me 😅 It could be a microphone issue though! Because I've noticed this before also!
As much as I appreciate your style of presentation and in-depth technical talk about the products. What I really would like from Team MotorInc. is to actually shoot videos (large format and not 2 minute clips) that are hands-on with the products and you are actually driving them + testing them + sharing your feedback and wealth of information.
Thanks for the feedback. We want to make videos that match our quality expectations, and until we can, we won't create content formats/shows just because, Obelix76
Hey, also had an idea for This Connect S02, if you're planning to bring it back on. How about the state of riding gear in the country? It generally is hard to come accross proper ECE approved ones, at retail shops as well as the popular online retailers. Where can one find, what to look for, how are Indian markets different from their global counterparts in terms of their needs, etc. Could be an interesting listen.
Just booked the Svart 401.. Aggressive design of the duke aint for me and Rc series aint gonna work on the place i work.. You guyz and Ryan from F9 convinced me to go for the test ride. THANKS A LOT.
18 months ago when I purchased my Duke 200, I really liked the svart.. but the salesman confessed that they don't get much push to sell Huskies, hope that changes with 401.
Guys just a doubt ... is the abs calibration different when compared to the duke 390 ? Some other channel said this abs is offroad tuned so if i swap to vit 250 rims and grippier tyres will the abs sensor face issues
For context, i ride a 390 adv and was given a loaner vitpilen, thought it would feel as compact as a duke, but rightly put straight seat feels more roomy /its not as aggressive /seating ergonomics are better than interceptor and given the low centre of gravity and sharp handling, it flicks sharply but doesnt make it as obvious
Another banger episode. Kudos team. PS. Do you think the tail grab kind of goes against the design of the Svartplien. It does look like the odd ball there
Please suggest - everyday to office and then during weekends off to around 500km - HD440 or this one? Or something else considering want smooth yet dependable engine even if it somewhat laid back?
Hey Rheetam! Either bike will easily do the trip you want. Most 400cc class bikes will, in fact. The question is what you think is smooth enough, and which brand you think will be dependable. Since your shortlist is X440 and HS401, would you take test rides on both and ping us?
Hi MotorInc, I am very confused between the Svartpilen 401 and Speed 400, i mainly travel 45km up and down everyday in peek bangluru trafic and looking for something very comfirtable and easy to ride, I have taken the test drive of speed 400 and didn't like the sound of fan when stuck in traffic as the fan was making more noice then the engine, still waiting for a test drive of Svarpilen 401. Also, since the 401 has the adjustabele suspention which will be the most comfirable bike Speed 400 or The Svartpilen 401 with the suspention tuned for comfirt. Love your content!!!
Is the 2024 vitpilen 250 viable as a comfortable daily commuter in Mumbai and occasional weekend rides outside the city for someone looking to upgrade from a Jupiter 125?
I have the Svartpilen 250, only brought it because it looked really good. The issues I felt were the low ground clearance and the fuel tank. The seat height was not a problem as I am near 6 feet.
Hello, Always admire your reviews. Little bit of help is needed. I am looking for a light weight bike with good performance. I trimmed downed to Speed 400 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. I like the husqvarna from the very beginning for their minimalist and unique kind of look. But spoke tubed wheels in 401 has made me lean towards speed 400. But I am still confused over these two. Can you help me out here? And if you can suggest any alternative option too
We never recommend that Domi. 390X is okay but the 401 vs 390X is potatoes vs ball-point pen. No comparison at all in how they feel, what they do... anything. So it depends on your preference, intention and goals. Get a test ride on both and ping us?
Loved the tail side..looked cleaner with the licence plate on the tyre hugger. In this case the need to make the bike look bigger sounds reasonable. But why didn't other bikes(except rtr310) follow it? I'm hoping to get one such tyre hugger with a number plate for my cb350rs/- someday.
Let's say I want to use the Vitpilen tyre setup on the Svartpilen, with the tubeless road tires and all. Do I need retune the suspension as well or will it work as is?
Could you do a video about what to know when switching from two wheelers without gears to two wheelers with gear? Coz I used to ride the TVS NTorq before & I own a Radeon now so I had to struggle so much to adapt to changing gears & managing the clutch. Love from Bengaluru!❤
how much of a competion will the upcoming RE hunter 450 be to the Triumph speed 400 as a whole product and the RE scram 450 to the TRIUMPH scrambler 400x?
just some assumptions , cause u guys have already ridden the Himalayan 450 , so u guys must have an idea how the himalyan's chassis and engine would fair against triumph twins . @@motorinc
Test drove the Svartpilen 401 today. I'm 6 feet tall, my knee was hitting the curves on the fuel tank and because of the tiny rear brake lever, it was straight up uncomfortable to push on the brake, as I had to bend my foot at an awkward angle to get a hold. The new Dukes and Svart/Vit are compact and geared towards people shorter than 6 feet. I test drove the Scrambler 400X just before the Svartpilen and had none of these issues, in fact, I didn't anticipate it being quite so large. However, I didn't like the Scrambler as much as the Svartpilen. The Scrambler was not rev happy and it felt strained. The Svartpilen was brilliant when revving up, especially with the quick shifter.
Thanks for sharing @anirudh64! Fwiw, Shumi's 6ft tall as well but he did not have any issue with any of these motorcycles. So, what are you getting from the three? Or looking at something else?
Hey Motorinc, you missed the most Important Thing man! The servicing part. Where will these be getting serviced, what can be the average cost and the timing?
is going for a tubeless conversion on this a good option and would the rally str support it? i am confused between this, scrambler 400x and the himy 450 i am planning to wait another 6 months to get proper ownership reviews on these.
I wish i had this option in college. I don't begrudge the Karizma i had at the time but the Svartpilen looks SO good and it has the best thing KTMs don't: the calmness.
Hi Shumi, what would you suggest between Hero Mavrick and Husqvarna Vitpilen. I know they both have completely different characteristics but as they both fall near 2.5 lacs budget, what would suggest to go with ? I am looking for a bike for my daily commute mostly.
Another excellent discussion... 👏Do Speed 400, Scrambler 400x, Duke 390 and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 all have the same engine? Noticed that they all have same bore and stroke...89 mm X 64 mm.
Around the 2 nd minute you told thte peiple cant find Husqwarna stores , luckily in Bangalore about 5 minutes away from me are 3 parallel stores a ktm , bajaj and husqwarna and all of them are such great dealers who are fanatics and they offer the best service which is something so rare now days
Engine, gearbox, and display is same in both bikes so u get same performance. All boils down to the looks .. what you like .. streetfighter or cafe racer ..
The Motor inc show is so intuitive and entertaining you can listen to it in the metro or watch tucked in bed. Theres something for every viewer. Keep it up ❤️
I would be lying if I said that I'm waiting patiently for the vitpilen 250 review, because I'm as twitchy and excited as... well, a ktm 😂 The irony! But please take your time, wonderful people at Motorinc, I know it's going to be worth the while waiting for the Vitpilen review!!
@motorinc Thanks for another wonderful video. I’ve a question: How is the cornering capabilities? In the podcast, you guys didn’t talk about the foot peg position and it’s cornering clearance. Is this a bike that can perform as well as Duke 390 on a track day? (I.e., with the right set of wheels and tires) The other famous UA-camr who scrapes knees on all his videos, couldn’t do it on this bike. Looks like there is cornering clearance issue. Can you please confirm it? Because, even on test rides, we can’t find it out ourselves.
For most riders new to the track, cornering clearance is hardly an issue, Bprakash. You'll be fine until you're very fast. And that point, you'll be moving to something more serious anyway
Update from Husqvarna:
15:18 | In Reduced Mode, the display normally shows the speed on top, the rev counter in the middle and the gear position at the bottom. When you hit reserve, the gear position display is replaced by a bar that tells you that you need to refuel.

Much love from Nepal! Been waiting eagerly for this one, keep up the awesome work 💪
Hope you enjoyed it! Thanks Rishav!
Hello wise men, is the alloy swap (from the VIT250) plug and play?
The sizes are the same so it should be @ashinterceptor! So should the 390 Duke's rims.
Best review channel on youtube. I just love listening to you guys. The passion can be felt through the screen. Thanks Shumi and Kartikeya
Hi shumi , big fan of your journalism having some noob doubts
1. In theory yes, in practice, unlikely
2. We'd change the alloys and ask the agent to add the wheels as an accessory to the insurance policy so they're covered.
@@motorinc
Ok we can add it as an accessories but wont the insurer claim that bike actually was made for tubed spoke rims we were using alloys so it made the bikes balance incorrect and due to that accident happened and we are denying you claim ?
If possible can you please mention this info in some of your shorts because I was trying to find this information from a long time but it is not present anywhere even chatgpt failed :(
thank you
It can happen but we suspect it will not end up in a claim denial
@@motorinc should one buy insurance from the dealer only or go with aftermarket cheaper solution... name few insurers which we should avoid at any cost? Thanks
Can we use michelin pilot street 2 with tube? Will there be any ill effect of using tubes in the tubeless tyres? Apart from instant flat tyres when punctured? Please answer as i couldn't find any leads for it.
No you can run tubes inside most tubeless tyres with no strain.
Should be, Siddarth, but no official confirmations yet at all
Love this format… especially the fact the one of the host seems so in awe with the other seeming like a guru, one may mistake that the earlier one is happy high…
Ahah! Glad you enjoyed the watch!
It's just that smidge of imperfection and I dont relate with Motorinc!I mean most people wouldn't probably notice it but being a Small Time musician who has learnt a few things about audio balancing it affects me 😅
It could be a microphone issue though! Because I've noticed this before also!
This video helps me alot to understand about the bike. I went to showroom today i checked it directly. Yes the bike is appealing more nice and bigger.
Good to know! Thanks for keeping us posted!
At 17:08, what did you guys mute out?
Can you.pls confirm if the tyres are tubeless, some review say its tubeless spoke wheels
What a class you guys are... The reaction of Shumi and Karthikeya in Karthikeya's summary always makes me smile...
Thank you 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🖖🏽
How does this compare to the cb300r?
As much as I appreciate your style of presentation and in-depth technical talk about the products. What I really would like from Team MotorInc. is to actually shoot videos (large format and not 2 minute clips) that are hands-on with the products and you are actually driving them + testing them + sharing your feedback and wealth of information.
Thanks for the feedback. We want to make videos that match our quality expectations, and until we can, we won't create content formats/shows just because, Obelix76
How's the ergonomics for lower body, comapared to gen-2 Dukes?
How is it against rtr 310 qnd can we add imu electonics as an accessory ar pay extra for features
Hey Dhruv! If you look to Indian brands like Viaterra, for example, CE-rated stuff is not hard to find, nor is it silly-expensive!
Just booked the Svart 401.. Aggressive design of the duke aint for me and Rc series aint gonna work on the place i work.. You guyz and Ryan from F9 convinced me to go for the test ride. THANKS A LOT.
Congratulations @countmenses689! We wish you a great time of riding the Svart.
18 months ago when I purchased my Duke 200, I really liked the svart.. but the salesman confessed that they don't get much push to sell Huskies, hope that changes with 401.
💯
Will this bike work well for taller persons? I'm 6'2 - 187cm?
Can we get any info about the bike after the tyre has been changed. Will there be a considerable difference any idea on this
Guys just a doubt ... is the abs calibration different when compared to the duke 390 ? Some other channel said this abs is offroad tuned so if i swap to vit 250 rims and grippier tyres will the abs sensor face issues
For context, i ride a 390 adv and was given a loaner vitpilen, thought it would feel as compact as a duke, but rightly put straight seat feels more roomy /its not as aggressive /seating ergonomics are better than interceptor and given the low centre of gravity and sharp handling, it flicks sharply but doesnt make it as obvious
Hi, can the IMU of Duke be retrofitted on Svartpilen 401?
Can i fit the engine bash plate to my 2024 duke 390?
Hi MotorInc,
I am very confused between the Svartpilen 401 and Speed 400, i mainly travel 45km up and down everyday in peek bangluru trafic and looking for something very comfirtable and easy to ride, I have taken the test drive of speed 400 and didn't like the sound of fan when stuck in traffic as the fan was making more noice then the engine, still waiting for a test drive of Svarpilen 401.
Also, since the 401 has the adjustabele suspention which will be the most comfirable bike Speed 400 or The Svartpilen 401 with the suspention tuned for comfirt.
Love your content!!!
Why not get a test ride? It'll clear up a lot very quickly, Akash!
Is the 2024 vitpilen 250 viable as a comfortable daily commuter in Mumbai and occasional weekend rides outside the city for someone looking to upgrade from a Jupiter 125?
Can be! Story coming soon Amit!
How is the pillion comfort for long rides
I have the Svartpilen 250, only brought it because it looked really good. The issues I felt were the low ground clearance and the fuel tank. The seat height was not a problem as I am near 6 feet.
same, I dont understand all the issues besides the one you mentioned above they are subjective.
owned vitpilen for about 3 years now.. my only problem is it still look too good 😎
Hello,
Always admire your reviews. And if you can suggest any alternative option too
Shumi which one to buy the adv 390 X or this ? Maybe even domi what's your take ?
We never recommend that Domi. 390X is okay but the 401 vs 390X is potatoes vs ball-point pen. No comparison at all in how they feel, what they do... anything. So it depends on your preference, intention and goals. Get a test ride on both and ping us?
Surely ✨🙌
Loved the tail side..looked cleaner with the licence plate on the tyre hugger. In this case the need to make the bike look bigger sounds reasonable. But why didn't other bikes(except rtr310) follow it?
I'm hoping to get one such tyre hugger with a number plate for my cb350rs/- someday.
Karthik's brain missed a gear and was immediately flooded with confusion at 16:18. Beautiful!!!
🤣
That jingle❤️❤️ pls make it a bit longer. I replay it a million times for every new video!!
Should you buy one video for this bike would be great, I am undecided on a 400cc bike speed400, scrambler400x, and svartpilen 401
Why they don’t provide spoke with tubeless tires
Can I fit VitP white panels to SvartP?
Then it wouldn't be Svartpilen @Yeahbois69 😅
@ but the VitP panels look sooooo gooooooood!!!!!!
Let's say I want to use the Vitpilen tyre setup on the Svartpilen, with the tubeless road tires and all. Do I need retune the suspension as well or will it work as is?
It should work well enough. And you have adjustability on the 401 to take care of the rest, @fluffyraider
@@motorinc thanks, that's sorts it then
I absolutely love how simple and stylish husqies look I really hope someday we will have a baby norden out with this engine configuration 🤞🏻
Could you do a video about what to know when switching from two wheelers without gears to two wheelers with gear? Coz I used to ride the TVS NTorq before & I own a Radeon now so I had to struggle so much to adapt to changing gears & managing the clutch. Love from Bengaluru!❤
Didn't we already DM an answer to this elsewhere Arun?
@@motorinc yes & I'm glad to have red the answer that was so simple to understand!🙌
how much of a competion will the upcoming RE hunter 450 be to the Triumph speed 400 as a whole product and the RE scram 450 to the TRIUMPH scrambler 400x?
How to say what a bike that hasn't been launched will be like?
just some assumptions , cause u guys have already ridden the Himalayan 450 , so u guys must have an idea how the himalyan's chassis and engine would fair against triumph twins .

No plan to speculate and confuse, Soham. We're in no rush at all, but when we do offer an opinion, we'd like it to be correct, helpful and clear.
ok , thnx for this insight @@motorinc
Looking at the tires, pairing the STRs with the Scrambler 400X once the MRFs wear out would be interesting!
Hey Motorinc, you missed the most Important Thing man!
The servicing part. Where will these be getting serviced, what can be the average cost and the timing?
Its exactly same as KTMs, which is pretty good
Sunday has become so crucial listening to Shumi and kart ❤ peace next level
is going for a tubeless conversion on this a good option and would the rally str support it?
i am confused between this, scrambler 400x and the himy 450
i am planning to wait another 6 months to get proper ownership reviews on these.
Yes the STR is a tubeless tyre anyway. Good plan to wait - you can get test rides though
LETS GO!! , Thank you guys for the review on this bike , one of my dream bikes for sure!
🤜🏽🤛🏽
After a busy schedule finally got the time to watch the podcast❤ i thank you guys for making this Sunday a good one🎉
Sir cb300f vs maverick 440 which one is better for daily usage and weekly long rides and value for money ...
I know the video is about Svat401 but I wanna ask.... Which one should I chose Vit250 or Duke250.
Engine, gearbox, and display is same in both bikes so u get same performance. All boils down to the looks .. what you like .. streetfighter or cafe racer ..
@motorinc ... IMU kya hota hai?
The Motor inc show is so intuitive and entertaining you can listen to it in the metro or watch tucked in bed. Theres something for every viewer.
Keep it up ❤️
Thanks a ton! We'll pass your compliments on to the team!
(I.e., with the right set of wheels and tires)
The other famous UA-camr who scrapes knees on all his videos, couldn’t do it on this bike.
Where can we find the reviews of the bikes as opposed to the first impressions, reviews from the test regimen that you have for the bikes?
as a solo rider at the age of 23, who rides bikes just for fun, i absolutely love my bike.
Thanks for sharing your perspective!
