My one complaint for this episode was that Rick didn't use a hoard of Mr Meeseeks to wreck the Tardis. But just using Rick clones was probably easier on the budget
Loved this episode, the leadup and episode got me into Rick and Morty and it's been a blast so far. The fact they had two amazing HD episodes back to back is still insane.
Personally, the best part about this episode for me is that it took two franchises I know next to nothing about and actually kinda got me interested in one of them. That's honestly a really underappreciated part of the scripting process, they have to make it sound interesting to the layman.
I was expecting them to disrespect Rick a bit due to him just being an asshole and the shows negative perspective currently but they paid both characters a ton of respect
I'm trans myself, I was not familiar with Ribbit before watching this and you have no idea how happy it makes me to find out that she is trans and to see you treat her like a normal person. I'm probably overreacting, but it really means the world to me and i'm sure it does to others as well. I know there's should be a British joke somewhere that I could say, but I went against it due to how attached to Xenoblade Chronicles my brother is. So I won't. ...I wonder probably around next year that the Season 10 ranking will be done since I feel like there's no way I would hear to review of Galactus VS Unicron before the year's over. But I DO know that your review will be more positive than Nem's due to the lack of Transformers knowledge. (I am not insulting the Aussie, I just know that each time Transformers is brought up on DEATH BATTLE, the Cole-d shoulder comes into play.) Yeah good video I like it. 2 hand-drawn episodes in one season by different people hasn't been a thing since I believe Jack VS Afro and Mario VS Sonic, since I believe Macho VS Kool-Aid and Saitama VS Popeye had some of the same people for both animations.

Honestly I have to say it would be even better if time travel was actually included in the fight you know the guy who was whole theme and whole plot in his show is time travel!! I'm kind of disappointed in Galaxy because this is his fight he wanted to do however I still do love the episode even if the doctor was kind of nerfed and did love how the analysis broke down and compared their tech IQ and experience to each other which is very similar to how they did it in the original Goku vs Superman (which is very ironic because of the episode after this)
Doctor using time travel could only really be for the sake of killing Rick earlier which works against how they portrayed him as only defending, never attacking. Rick can time travel but actively avoids doing it, so I wouldn’t really want him to be doing it himself. I also don’t get being disappointed in Max specifically for any issues you had with the writing, he was only involved with the editing, the script was long finished before he even joined the team.
@@BiffWeed still at least have some of the different versions of the doctor to appear or even other TARDIS from different times to appear yes that would be breaking a lot of rules within Doctor who or Doctor who resisting a time freeze even though Rick probably wouldn't do that, but I would have at least like to see a little bit of time travel compared to the dimensional travel that we got and it probably would have killed a Rick more but the doctor without breaking his pacifist could just leave Rick at the Big bang or a scene from a dangerous scene in Rick and Morty. But what I'm really disappointed in is the space cruiser and TARDIS this is basically just the R-wing vs righteous ignition all over again. However besides all of that this is still probably one of my favorite episode from death battle period Island you some things about the doctor but they covered a lot of his story really well especially things that made me really interested in his story and bingeing doctor who
Well, you guys brought it up, so I'm going to counter it, as you made it on-topic: Cassandra from End of the World is a commentary on procedures like that, and Rose specifically said that made her less human, that the human parts were thrown away. I mean, she says all that in the same scene that Cassandra reveals he "grew up a boy on Earth". While I wouldn't go that far, this is just one of many points in the show where it criticises such a focus on the physical body rather than actually trying to be a good person, stopping to think what all of this actually means, and the conclusions you can come to from there. Aka: question: why did someone come up with this idea? Answer: unknown, but what comes out of these topics most is conflict between people. Question: what does this conflict create? Answer: division. Another one from the exact same season (also by Davies btw) was Adam's brain procedure. Doctor Who is not the kind of show you think it is. Doctor Who is about being better than such trivial matters. It only changed when the BBC changed and bastardised it in the process. Doctor Who has become a show about issues the show has always been a detractor of. About questioning the world around you and finding the answers the powerful try to hide, not following everything you're told and living your life based on the current message.
I was originally going to do a review for this episode way back when it came out but I ended up canceling it cause I was going to have my gf on but she was unable to get lines I bring this up cause she would basically be what ribbit is in this video seriously some things in the video felt ripped right out of the script I wrote
