    2 Things:
    I realize that this comes off as super personal but I just mean for example, you really want something so you make a pros and cons list and often you’ll just overload the pros to make yourself feel better about that purchase/decision. That’s what I do… 😬
    And second, you’d think someone was paying me to say “in my opinion” as much as I can… I apologize for having to listening to that sentence over and over.

    Been using it intensely for two week now, got it already on version 7 firmware... coming from a X-Pro 2 and X-T3 kit. I do video and photo, events, small business content and a little of studio photography. Honestly? It's the best camera I've ever used, and I've used them all. It's not perfect, but it's definitely top of the line and delivers. I'm still getting used to working with it seamlessly, but each day I keep getting better and better as using it as an extension of my mind, my vision and the work I need to deliver. There's some quirks that would be easily solvable, but I have zero expectations, honestly. I'm just happy to have it as a work tool. I love what Fuji has done since the very first X100, but i'd jump to Sony or Canon in a heartbeat if they delivered much more, and they don't. Not for me. Cheers!
    Just to be clear. I stayed in brand mostly because I already had lenses and adapters and I wasn't ready to sell my X-Pro 2 since no other camera brand has one with an OVF which I can't live without whilst traveling. So that was a big influence for me to stay with Fuji. Plus the 6.2k ProRes, CF Express Type B 2tb cards on big discount here in Brazil... it all came together.

    Love this video! Idk why I still watch these videos since I already own both an XT5 and the XH2S but who am I kidding, I like hearing people talk Fujifilm. I completely agree, this camera isn't necessary for most people if they're looking to upgrade. The one thing that would make it worth it is your shooting style. I'm more of a hybrid shooter, doing both photography and video so I like having the smaller 26mp stacked sensor on the XH2S for the rolling shutter since I film weddings and events with a gimbal fairly often. I pre-ordered the XT5 when it came out and I absolutely love it for photography, but video it does show a little more noise because of the larger sensor size. However, for youtube content, fun family videos, and even some professional work the XT5 is incredible. And now the newest firmware update has the TOUCH TRACKING and I'm in love!!! I use a SONY F3 at my video production job and the tracking feature is literally amazing. Excited to see it on my Fuji cameras now!

    Hi Cody awesome video man! Do you mind sharing with us how you shot your 4k 24p ETERNA video of the 'Woofs'. Like, did you colorgrade that it post? Was is shot in 10Bit 422? I find that ETERNA is so flat whenever I shoot it so Im just wondering if you edited those in Davinci. Thank you.

    Dude, I liked it, your review that is, very easy manner, informative. If i may be honest, only tiny niggle is, at least for me, I click on videos based on the thumbnail, plus the blurb, and was expecting to see some great footage and shots of that fantastic mountain range, so if ya don't mind getting out to that location next time, just for me 🤣🤣..
    I just got myself the XT2, already have the X100F, but wanted a Fujifilm I could swap lenses out on. Was looking at the XT5 but didn't want to spend a grand and a half, picked the XT2 up for £480, like new, along with 35mm 1.4, just getting my head around learning how I want to use it.
    In my opinion, I didn't notice you say 'In my opinion' .... 🤣
    But that thing about overloading the Pros to make yourself feel better, eeeee!, I do it all the time, not so much over the spec of a camera, tho I do, but over buying another camera 😁. I love the Sony range and have had a few, at this moment I have the A7iii, A7C, and the a6500, but also my dear beloved Leica Q and a shelf full of bloody lenses, haha.
    Anyways up dude, all the best to ya, your likeable, so keep em coming. How you set your camera up would be one I'd watch.
    Greeting from the UK.

    • @CodyBaker
      @CodyBaker  5 місяців тому

      I respect that and apologize haha I meant to take a photo of the camera before sending it back to Fujifilm so I had it for the thumbnail and it just slipped my mind 😂 I’ll take the setup on the go and film one in the mountains!
      I love that set up! I just got an XE1 as a little sidekick for running around and shooting whenever.
      I fall into the by habit of making a bias towards certain pros or cons for things so I sort of also made this video for myself haha

    Good morning! I have a question regarding about my camera, I just recently bought an Xh2s, when I try shooting in M mode, it produces 3 photos instead of 1. Do anyone knows how to change this? Thank you!

  • @tuzuharurakutu

    I don't agree at all with the camera being slow to turn on or wake up. It's literally 2sec max (ever seen a RED boot up?). You can also choose not to let the camera sleep at all. That comment will make people think the camera is a dud, when it's very fast, comparable to most modern mirrorless cameras out there. I've personally never owned or used a camera that doesn't need half press and 2sec to boot back up while sleeping, some are even a little slower (the R5C from Photo to Video mode comes to mind).
    And most great video cameras out there use the same articulating design, not unique to the XH2S.

    Hey! Boy did I stumble on this early:) Love the review. I can totally relate to some of your sentiments. I am preparing to shoot a larger project this year and I currently have the xt5, but since it's a "photography first" camera I felt kind of strange that I'm doing more video and starting to rig it out. I calculated what other gear I could get for the price of an xh2s and I think the smart choice is staying with the xt5, so your review did put my mind more at ease. There are definitely reasons in favor of the xh2s, I'm just not sure if they are worth 2200e.
    P.S. Still waiting on that color grading video, I'm checking your channel like every other day to see if I've missed it:)

    • @CodyBaker
      @CodyBaker  5 місяців тому +1

      Hey, appreciate you checking out the video - I know it's a bit of a short review but I'm just trying out making these videos so I really appreciate you watching.
      That's sort of why I made this video, I almost went and purchased one but knew that my X-T5 is more than capable so I'm glad the idea is shared. Currently working on a video about building a video rig with the X-T5 which I have slowly started to do.
      Life's been a touch hectic but I have a post-processing video in the works based off the comment you left a few weeks ago! Hoping to get it out next week.

      Do you mean in terms of connection or stability of the mount? I noticed my 16-55mm was a bit shifty after placing it on but it’s also getting older so I wasn’t sure if it was just me and the lens or the body itself
