I know hands are said to be hard! Give hair a try, just a strand to begin with, you can hardly go wrong with my tips because it's a process where you can take breaks easily and correct if you need to unlike wet in wet work.

Prone to holding things with a death grip I’ve had to learn this lesson *so* many times - from piping royal icing to using wood carving tools. Very grateful for the reminder, and somewhat exasperated with myself for forgetting. Yet again. Haven’t tried anything portrait like yet, so a realistic and detailed like this tutorial is a huge help. Thanks so much.
i own the same brush but in size 4 and 12. these brushes keep shedding in my painting and was wondering if that was just because my brushes were defective or if there is something i'm missing...

oh shit if I could paint hair like this, yes please. I literally avoid hair at all cost. kind of like I avoid painting hands lol

It looks like you are using a pen or it is just you are holding brush like a pencil? You can tell I am a beginner.
I use a round brush that has a fine tip so it could look like a pen 🙂
