I have the 13 fishing blackout rod 7'3" and origin r1 reel combo with the whopper plopper 90 and got a awesome blowup from it

Just bought 2 of the fate black rods on sale. How do you tell if it's 3 rd gen? What is difference between them?
Notice any backlashes with the 01, on lighter lures even with spool tension pretty tight, and brakes pretty much maxed? My reel does this a lot.
I usually done use too light lures on this combo. The lightest probably is a weighted Texas rig. I haven’t experienced a ton of backlashes
Rod might be too stiff bud. I use this reel with a Basspro Microlite and a 1/8 oz jig with grub and it casts no problem. Rod just has to be light enough to fling light lures with the tip.

What type of line are you using?
Depends… I’ve had 30lb braid with fluorocarbon leader, 12-15 mono
What knot did u use for the choppo ??
Uni knot
What pound line u use
I was using 17 pound on the origin R1. I’ve now gone 30 lb braid

Agreed, more suited for 1/2 oz to 3/4 oz swim baits- I got it for my dark sleepers
