I'm actually considering doing a caster/Monk build for Cyclops to play on the fact that Cyclops is actually one of the best martial artists in the Marvel Universe.
I liked Cyclops back in the original and All New early days X-Men. Angsty teenager needs a role model I guess. But the romantic triangle was old back then and they didn't make it better. Scott has gotten screwed because Wolverine is so popular
He really hasn't recieved a good amount of character growth that others have recieved
Not to mention the whole marrying a woman who looks like your dead first love, only to abandon her when your dead lover returns. Then after your replacement love becomes a super villain, you marry your first love and time travel with her to raise your son. (Is Nate Maddie's son or Jean's?) When your marriage becomes stale, you cheat with another telepath because she looked like Grant Morrison's wife. This leads to your first love dying again and you shacking up with your mistress. I can say without a doubt, they do not teach ETHICS at that school. Bonding with the Phoenix Force and Killing Xavier were the latest in a long line of mistakes and moral failings.

This is interesting enough but I think you can go a lot harder on optic blasts, though I agree some fisticuffs are warranted I think you can get enough of that out of Warlock 2, Monk 1, Sorcerer X. Then you lean hard in on quicken spell for Scorching Ray (see Pryde of the X-Men for how narrowing the beam does allow it to cut like a laser), and follow with Eldritch Blast for double doses of optic Blasting. At Sorc 11 you can nab Disintegrate to pull of the "Apocalypse infected my son with the Technovirus "windows to the soul" megablast" he used when Nate/Cable was born.
I hate Cyclops but if I were on a team with him, I would definitely follow him into battle. No questions asked. Hey if Logan can respect him like that so can I.
I'd go Hexblade as its the least personable. Yeah, it has a curse power, but not a definable patron.

That is genuinely the first time I have ever heard that. He is a really good member and deserves so much more love.
I find him to be an interesting character with a very tragic backstory, living with a huge responsibility on his shoulders and the pressure of being the leader of the X-Men and the living embodiment of Xavier's dream. I also find it hilarious how his relationships play out and the twists it brings to his life. On top of that, he's an very efficient leader, and his powers are insanely cool. He's also a badass, especially in Chris Claremont's 1980s run, where he stood up to Wolverine and put shorty in his place.

Most of the characters that you bring up as possible dungeons and dragons characters cannot be made into player characters... As some of them have too many supernatural powers.... And the other ones are just regular characters... I understand what you're trying to do but you're not doing it correctly and most of your characters are unworthy as PCS in dungeons & dragons
