When I mix drums I almost always put a reverb on the entire kit to give more glue within the mix. For the snare drum, it really depends on the song honestly. I generally go for medium/short plates or chambers (I love VerbSuite Classics hahah as you can see), and it's quite the same for toms but I generally choose something a little longer with a long predealy to detach them from the mix. I hope it answers your question buddy!
Generally plates and halls are the best, but I'd say with vocals you have to find the right reverb plugin as well. I made an article on this topic if you wish, here it is: ideezstudio.com/the-9-best-reverb-plugins-for-vocals-in-2023-any-budget/
Awesome vid! Can you recognise the kick-ass reverb used on the vocals in "Need you tonight" by INXS? Is it room or short plate perhaps? Maybe a video of examples of different reverbs used in hit songs on vocals would be cool! Merci!!
Of all the problems to have ever not existed in production, reverb selection has not existed the hardest.
The fact that it's not a problem for you doesn't mean it's not a problem for other people
you're the best, thx a lot!
You're welcome stay tuned!
Ears tucked and ready to go, love it

Great explanation! Subbed! 😊
Thank you!
This was so helpful. I will be watching this a few more times. It help me understand the differences when you broke them out separately.
Sometimes the difference is subtle, but I think it's really important to be able to hear these small differences!
Great video mate - choosing reverb definitely something i struggle with in my mixes
I hope it was helpful! Stay tuned!
Great Video - Thank you!
Thanks!
Thanks, very useful ☺️
You're welcome!
Excellent explanation, thanks!
💯🎵
Which one should I choose for the vocal punk rock/hardcore?
These aren't the genres I work in but you should try a comination of room and chamber, something rich and powerful you know, my best advice is to try!
thank you🖤
Great explanation , do you put reverb on snare, toms and room mics or only the room ? , which ones is prefered for drums ? Thanks

First spring, Second hall, third room, fourth chamber, fith plate
The right answers are spring - chamber - room - plate - hall but some of them weren't easy!
I guess tucking ears is better than other things. 😂
Not gonna lie it was bothering me 😂
😂
The best for vocals?

Probably a plate! But definitely not a room, not punchy enough to be a room! Thanks for the ideas, I'll think about it man!
Is it always best to use sends for reverb....in terms of sound(not just CPU)?
You also have way more control!
