I hope Vermeer corporate is aware of how well you operate their equipment. You’ve probably sold several without knowing it. I’m a Bobcat guy and I’m even considering one.
Impressive...to say the least! I especially like how you leave the job so clean and neat.
This was a really simple but very impressive video! I wish equipment dealers on my island had these machines available 😂
Thanks for watching!
Fine job,Sir.
I do that with my 925 Vermeer it comes in so handy!! He job at takes a half a day will take 30 or so minutes
Good clean work!
Another great job bro
Awesome job!!
This is awesome! How do you avoid sprinkler lines? I need some shrubs removed, but I’m worried if the damage.
If the customer has a sprinkler system, I will ask them to mark the heads to get a better idea of where lines may run. Unfortunately, unless they have a map from the installer of the system, then I do not know exactly. Surprisingly, I have only cut a handful over 20 plus years of being in business!
Great job! I know the video was only 8 minutes or so, But how long did it really take you?
4-5 hours
@@SchottServices Thanks for responding! Happy holidays Sir!
Where was that machine when I was landscaping in high school? Oh yeah, it wasn’t invented yet.
You're tellin' me!
they had swinger and waldon loaders back then. Just as good or better than this. Some employers just don't value their employee's backs.
What size is your grapple and brand ?
50" Wicked Root Grapple
How much you charge for a job like that and how long did it actually take?
If needing an estimate please give me a call and I can quote job! It took a few hours. Thanks for watching!
I wanted to know what you charge for something like this as well. I’m in the south tx area but I do this type of work just seeing so I know what I could be charging more or less
@@rogerfranco6701 same here is the reason i asked.. lol
@@SchottServices couple hours, no way, Maybe an hour at best!
hey schott. how are you liking your vermeer a year later? do you still use it and do you feel its worth the money?any input greatly appreciated. im wanting it for bush/shrub removal and maybe some yard grading . thanks!
I don't leave the shop without it! I've been running the Vermeer for several years now
@@SchottServices great to know! any must have attachments you recommend ? from your videos iv seen you use a couple. which are the most profitable/ worthwhile to buy first in your opinion ? i plan to get a couple but money will be tight so debating what attachments to get first. Thanks !
How much did you charge for this job?
I don't remember unfortunately
No problem, I’m just in the process of starting my own business and would love a successful person in this space to help me out. My biggest thing is bidding and winning jobs while still walking away with a profit. Just trying to figure that out.
There is a bit of art to bidding jobs, which I probably haven't entirely figured out yet!
I've bid jobs thru the years where I thought I had the job. Then I never hear back from the customer. I've bid jobs where I think I'll never hear back from the customer and they call back right away!
I suggest that you figure a day rate(I don't charge by the hour) then do a few bids. If no one is calling you back then lower your rate. If you are getting every job then maybe start raising your prices.
Do your best to connect and communicate with your customers. Golden rule: Treat others as you want to be treated!
Very helpful, thank you!
