- I have a customer needing to add a huge parking lot for their commercial business. The mini skid steer is unstoppable in any project! After power raking and removing sod, 7 layers of crushed limestone are spread to create a beautiful parking lot. Watch the whole video to see the transformation!

If you don’t mind me asking , how much does a job like this go for ?
The GOAT, MJ of mini skid steer usage is at it again. rewatched! Love rhis implement and the work here!
Quality work, content, and editing too! Informative and mesmerizing video while being straight to the point without filler.
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Great job. The mini stand behind skid steers are great for jobs you have to get off and on a lot but for bigger jobs like this, you didnt have to get on and off, do you think a larger conventional skid with a seat would be better or do you still like the stand behind?
I'm sure a larger machine would have made a difference but I just use what I have!
Nice job. You are a good operator
Thanks 👍
that will convince a lot of people to get a mini skid best job i have seen on a mini great grading job
Thank-you!
Love the content and video! Please share more. Love the attachment and what it does to the ground!
Love your channel! You have a great content I truly enjoy!
I think you may have saved us a step. I'll usuall spray glyphosate a couple of weeks before power raking but looks like you chewed up living grass.
We'll give that a try.
Enjoy your Christmas.
I used to do it that way but this way seemed much faster. I hauled a fair amount of dirt/sod away but needed it for another job anyhow. If it's clean soil(the sod breaks down into dirt after a year) I typically will save it for other jobs needing dirt! Recycle!
awesome work mate
Thank you!
Pretty work John. Love the camera angles when using the equipment. Big job. Hopefully the engineering firm will be referring you some work in 2024 and beyond after seeing your quality of work. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you.
Merry Christmas!
How many yards of gravel?.
I think it was 5 or 6 triaxles of crushed limestone
@@SchottServices Thanks! I have a project next week, 133ft length by 15ft width, 1” depth, beach pebble. kind of similar.
Hi, Jon. Hoping to get your feedback on this... I have ran a toro soil cultivator for 3 years now (rented it every few weeks as needed for jobs). It does an excellent job of just burying all the grass and debris so there is not much haul off of material at all... I have never ran a harley rake, but it is my understanding harleys are a more versatile tool than the cultivator for grading, driveway repair, etc... I'm picking up a S925 this week and need to make a decision on whether to get a cultivator or harley rake, as I only have funds for one right now... My question is this... Have you ran a cultivator type attachment that just buries the sod and debris? The cultivator reduces the amount of haul off substantially for a job like this... But maybe not as versatile as the harley? Just hoping to get some feedback on if you prefer the harley for any particular reason? btw, have really enjoyed going through your vids recently... very helpful. I'm gonna send a shoutout your way!
I have never used the Toro cultivator. I believe the power rake will be much more versatile in the long run for your examples given. I do run into the same problem as well where I end up with a lot of debris. I've always wondered if the cultivator would save on amount of debris hauled off. If you can only buy 1 I'd get the power rake if doing more driveway work. The power rake is great in dirt when needing to cut out high spots. Also, the new MTW Power Rake I just purchased can change into a tiller/broom as well. Which is handy!
I have never used the cultivator before. Same reason as you I never wanted to bring/have 2 attachments
This is really nice work. You must have developed a sharp sense of leveling with experience.
Thank you! I appreciate the comments!
That came out awesome John! Jobs that size are right on the edge for me of renting a full size skid steer.. I did a job a few weeks ago spreading and grading 120 yds of dirt and feel like I prob could have done it in 2 hrs with a full size but took me 7 with the mini.. would have been much faster but the property was large and alot of that dirt had to be moved a bucket at a time. Your job came out spectacular, and im sure you have much more experience bidding these big jobs than i do. Great work!
You are the the pro when it comes to stand-on skid steer work enjoy your channel Happy New year to you .
Happy New Year! Thank you!
My number one favorite type of job. These jobs turn out well and are super simple most of the time. Great job
Thats gonna be a mud pit on couple years
Great content!
Great camera views, rewatched ,!
Is there a rule of thumb on how much gravel you will need or how do you factor in or figure out how much gravel you will need for the depth and size of driveway?
Google it they have a gravel calculator on Google the example 4 inches deep 10 ft by 10 ft
Damn good with that machine
Thank you!
Spectacular finish!
Great video angles and editing Mr. John!
The parking lot from scratch was so satisfying to watch. Your work ethic is outstanding.
Great content, love your channel! Thanks for sharing.,
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Merry Christmas.
Incredible work.!
Thank you!
I like to know what you did with all the soil?? :-o)
I reused it on another job!
Turned out great man!!!
Clean job brother 🇺🇸
love it
I’m really impressed, great job!

What machine are you using?
Vermeer 925 w/ power rake
@@SchottServices thanks
Is that a gas truck
Yes
Love your videos bud great work
Thank you!
Looks good only thing I could see to be done differently would be add fabric underneath the stone but all in all solid video and nice work.
Yes. I offer it to every customer but fabric isn't cheap and most customers decline due to additional cost. I think it has it applications but doesn't need to go under all stone/gravel. Thanks for watching!
