I enjoy playing this deck on MD. Started playing it after seeing multiple videos from you. I ended up finding Loris, Lady of Lament. She is amazing in the deck. She can shuffle 3 or 6 normal traps from your GY or banished pile back into the deck to draw 1 card for every 3 trap cards sent. Avarice for traps on legs. Recycles all your traps which also prevents you from decking out, and gives you much needed draws. She also has another effect if another monster is tributed or a normal trap is sent to your GY by opponents card effect, you can set 1 normal trap from your GY. This effect comes up more than you'd think. The only drawback is she is lvl 3 so she can't be used for XYZ plays except for TY-PHON but can be very useful to go into links. The card is amazing and has been putting in work for me in Paleo. Not sure how it would do in TCG though considering you only have 1 reasoning and no grass.
Snake-Eyes might unironically be what will lead to the OCG finally getting their shit together. It's the one deck might genuinely be impossible to balance in the way the OCG always tries to. Meaning consistency hits and slaps on the wrist , so pet deckers can still play their favourite decks while still nerfing the overall winrate. No amount of limits can stop this deck it seems like. The whole situation reminds of Overwatch's GOATs meta that ultimately lead to the introduction of position queue.
SOL MY BELOVED really excited to see how it ends up after testing Mosquito is a HUGE punish for people who underestimate SOL. Don't sleep on it It's been good in my testing One desires is nice instead of tune I find, also played 2 morgnite then switched to hope for escape + Ledger book as pseudo waboku
I think at the core of most of these game balance discussions is the fact that some cards / decks do not have a proportional payoff to investment ratio. 1 card combos can be fine as long as the payoff isn’t too high for only investing 1 card. There are several ways to try and avoid this (locks, clear choke points, heavy activation requirements, deck building requirements etc) and ofc there is no way to determine the exact point of balance in the abstract. It requires consideration of the rest of the format to decide whether things are ok but snake eye has pushed us very far past whatever line is acceptable. Generally speaking I think yugioh is at its best when it’s mostly engine vs engine so having the best decks All be ones that can fit 20-25 non engine makes for very boring games imo
2:17:29 I was recently just going through this on my own and thinking about what makes 1 card combos broken and what makes them acceptable, here’s what I’ve come to: It depends on the number of disruptions you put up and the following metrics you can rate them on Strength: - what type of interaction, if it’s removal is it destroy, send, tribute, banish, banish FD, bounce, spin? Is it a negate, is it both? Does it target or not? Quantity: - How many cards does it affect 1, 2, more? Conditionality: - Is it freely activatable, is it limited to a certain phase, is it only usable under a certain condition and if so how often does that condition come up. Scope: - what card types can it affect? Face-ups, face-downs, both, - can it affect the grave, hand, field or only some of those - can it affect face-ups, face-downs or both?
Hi,Josh,I'm your big fan,and I've seen you playing with Paleozoic deck a lot lately, this deck is really interesting, and I think in OCG or MD,this deck can be mixed with Traptrix or mixed with Labrynth, both of these constructs can increase the strength of the deck,I hope you can have a try!
2:08:50 Centur-ion honestly the funnest deck I've played in Master Duel in ages. Every hand I draw with it feels like I'm on for a good game short of my opponent oppening crazy broken or me drawing like all 4 of the decks bricks (and even then still might be on depending on my last 2 cards).
I still fondly look back at how Joshua released a video describing snake eye as the "most fun deck in master duel right now" and now he cannot wait to burn every populus tree he sees irl
I was thinking about to play Mana Dragon Zirnitron in Paleo because if your spells/traps get destroyed or banished, he can special summon itself from hand or gy which makes him a good discard target. He gets you a spell/trap back that is banished or in the gy which can help you out. It's also a lv. 6 dark dragon which with the custom lv. 2 tuner allows you to synchro summon into a lv. 8 monster. The target would be Enigmaster Packbit because he discards one card at cost and can target one monster on your opponents side of the field or a monster in you gy and put it into the spell/trap zone. It's a nice interruption and pretty much a nice card to have in Centur-Ion or Snake Eyes but in Paleo, it's also pretty solid.
It’s not worth it in this deck IMO. It has to be a deck that just gets Zirnitron in grave for free. Paleo already has a bit of an issue with the amount of traps it has to run that aren’t readily available (rise to full height, rollback, burst, among others) that adding another draw that’s a dud brings up issues with consistency. Not to mention, you can’t activate the set s/t the turn it’s set which is major detriment to this cards playability.
@@Exisist5151 In pure Paleo, i would at least test it a bit but i would say if you play Paleo/Tear or Paleo/Labrynth, this card is stronger there. Since it can get you to Chaos Angel or another powerful synchro.
Apo isn't the issue, it's the combo decks that can make Apo and still keep going to make other interuptions etc. The only reason why I want Apo to be banned temporarly for a format or 2, is because I want to see if it creates some more diversity in deckbuilding. But it should be a temporary ban, and combined with the massacre of multiple combo decks and other problematic cards.
I'm glad I only play in master duel. I only have to deal with people not wanting to play Yu-Gi-Oh every 9 out of 10 games. I both hate and love this game.
Snake eyes needs to be unprinted. Save for poplar they don't even feel relevant at all for the lore individually; The small ones just exist(?) in the temple doing nothing, diabellstar whoops flamberge (seemingly without much effort) and poplar spawns from it.
I:P has never been an issue untill Flameberge was a thing. I:P was interesting, and you could play around it. It's not a big deal. Even I:P into S:P isn't even a big problem. The only real issue I have with it atm., is the same thing as with Apo. I don't want to see it banned, because it's not the issue, but I want to see it banned for a format or two, just to see if the removal of such a generic card will lead to more deck varirity and creativity in deckbuilding.
Seriously, whoever is cooking these thumbnails needs to be locked in the kitchen cause these are great.
Bro is gonna hold everybody hostage with that paleo deck
Now I imagine Josh going to his locals dressed like in the thumbnail and telling the people his Paleos are Canadians named after train stations XD
Josh suggestion for irl canada stream looking for new Paleos to make into cards is some straight up Pegasus anime shit AHAHAHAHAH

I've been running 1 too.
You can easily summon her with manq cat whenever you need her too. And it confuses people with what to call for reasoning.
@@napoiskafarming669 I'm going to try that for sure!
Woah nice tech ! gonna try it then, it really help for long grind game and draw power, which is exactly what this deck need.
I play lair and I didn’t even realize how useful she is in paleo! Not to mention decent in lab too
@@sangramos Better yet she can be special summoned from the deck by Ariane.

Yesss mosquito is so sneakyyy. I love! Also Mirror Mage can be played with Ice Barrier (the normal trap in RC1) with Shyama for INSANE VALUE
Remember guys you can put the quality at 144p so you don't the brainrot in stream chat! 👍

In my opinion:
Bans:
Flamberge
Beatrice
Apo
Calamity
Skill Drain
Rivalry
Inspector Boader
Deck lockdown
Shifter
Droll
Gimmick Puppet
Santifire Dragon
Limits:
Snake-Eye Ash
Poplar
Oak
Bonfire
Phantom of Yubel
Nightmare Throne
Sangan Summoning
Kitkallos
Spright Elf
Circular
My question is how much it costs because, after being subjected to torture by this deck, I would like to subject the people at my Locals to the same.
ur mostly going to be paying for the rollbacks which are like 15 each, and morganite is like 5 dollars each

Baning poplar was the reason the deck wenmt from 0 to 100. Poplar ban will kill snake eye. Flamberge is overkill
Why Josh in the thumbnail kinda… 😳😩
goated thumbnail
Bro gonna force locals to learn how to read
So when can we expect a Spright Paleo variant? Spright Double Cross is an interesting Trap that synergises well with the Paleo Extra Deck monsters.

Wait but se fiendsmith is not the most dominant deck right now in the OCG according to the last report tenpai had 10% more representation

The reaction parts was fire - Konami needs to make like 30 new paleos!
Small scuffle into morphing jar

do anyone have the final decklist?
why doesnt eldlich have a place in the list? i really feel like it could work
