- Starting a new scale model build, I selected the VK3001(H) from Trumpeter, Kit No. 01515. This tank model is the first step of the Tiger tank development we can actually build with the scale models available to us. Part 1 is about the Kit, a mix of me introducing the project, a few good tips about the kit and sort of an after action report. Panzer Tracts No. 6 DW to E-100 contains the drawings by Doyle, the model kit is based on them.
"Der Panzer-Kampfwagen Tiger und seine Abarten" (German) has the most Information about the VK 30.01 (H). There is a translated Version available, I don't have access to it.
D.W. to Tiger 1 has only litte more Information than Panzer Tracts.
Ein feines Model was Du Dir da ausgesucht hast. Ist auch recht selten zu sehen.
Der Zusammenbau hat ja auch sehr gut geklappt und mit den ersten Lagen Farbe sieht der Panzer schon richtig vielversprechend aus.

Interesting prototype! Being a big tiger fan and builder it reminded me how little I knew of it's development. The most popular kits being the initial, middle and late production types. I have never come across the prototype! Keep up the great work! A really informative channel with great modeling skills on display.
Thank you Gregg. I would like to roll through the Tiger stage by stage over time - you should take a look at the Book from Spielberger, there are a lot of interessting ones aside from the mainstream Tigers.

Thank you very much. I will see if I can sneak a leopard in at some time, but therefore we will have to talk about the Panther first. This vid beeing slightly shorter is directly linked to the time I had for editing. But I would rather prefer a shorter video, with higher retension on the viewer side, than long ones with only 10% watching the last thrid of it... We'll see, I'll play around with my content and storytelling and let the metrics lead the way ; ) Thank you again.
