Quick note on "New Vegas Anti-Crash". A ways back, I was having massive crashing issues for Fallout 3. I had just finished a New Vegas playthrough with almost zero crashing because of NVAC, and it occurred to me that since the two games used the same engine, it might just work for Fallout 3...installed it and sure enough, it works fine. I went on Fallout 3 from crashing every 5 minutes to not crashing AT ALL. New Vegas Anti-Crash is brilliant! :)
Do not use NVAC. It hurts more than helps, it doesn’t stop the thing causing crashes, it just forces the game to try to not shut down which is very bad. If your game is properly set up you shouldn’t be crashing very much if at all.

Literally only two things on this list I actually agree with. The rest are horribly outdated and I DO NOT recommend using. Number 1: Project Nevada - A very old outdated mod that used hard data instead of scripts. You are better off using Stewie Tweaks, Johnny Guitar, and others like those that does what Project Nevada does but uses light weight scripts instead of hard data. This top 10 list did not age well. Number 2: EVE - This is used to be the golden child of improvements but has become a major problem on newer systems. It still relies on hard data and bloats your saves and causes a number of problems. Its no longer recommended using this on modern builds of your games. Number 3: Fallout Mod Manager - Actually DON'T use this. Its one of the worst mod managers you could choose to use and its even worse than NMM. I recommend Vortex. Its far easier to use, and already has everything like LOOT built into it. Fully automated making it easier and safer to plug and play. It also uses RULES to sort what should load first instead of having to micromanage everything like MO2 Number 4: FCO - This was a great overhaul for its time, but there has been far superior mods released since then that are far more lightweight and don't screw with your saves and doesn't cause so many errors like FCO can. Number 5: More Perks - Sounds great on paper, but the execution of this mod is loaded with errors that was never fixed by the author. Don't use. Number 6: Weapon Mods Expanded: another mod that was awesome at the time but is loaded with problems that will conflict with just about everything. I recommend at alternatives that uses scripts Number 7: NMC texture pack - This mod is a save game buster. It will bloat your saves and contribute to crashes. Because of the RAM issues already present in Vegas, this mod amplifies that existing problem to an extreme degree. Don't download. Nevada Skies should be ok in theory, but be mindful of the community on how to install this correctly without conflicts. Anti Crash is a MUST Mod Configuration Menu is a hard requirement. It may be old, but it works just as it should despite that. Always download this first. That's my list. It would take far to much text to list all the mods you SHOULD be using in the place of these I rebutted against
More Perks was created in way back in 2010 and last updated also way back in 2012, without the help of script extenders coupled with broken perks and poor implementation.
What I didn't expect was to learn that Project Nevada had "fallen out of grace", so to speak Last time I reinstalled/modded NV was during the pandemic lockdown, and PN was still a must have for me, at least
a lot has come out since then, i just recently came back after a hiatus myself and there is just so much to check out. but yeah, over time mods can NOT age very good if they are not maintained, as they can become incompatible with newer mods or even worse, cause issues to your game that would force you to remove it.
If you want good overhauls, check out Dragbody's faction overhaul mods on GUN, which I believe is Gamers Underground Network, but yeah, dragbody has the *best* faction overhauls, hands-down, and coupling that with Fallout character overhaul is a must
I actually prefer fallout 3 and New Vegas graphics than for fallout 4. It just feels like a fallout game. It matches the theme very well in my opinion.
I've never had issues with EVE and Project Nevada. I still use them. It's order of operations. There are a plethora of guides out there telling you how to and what order to install each of these. My games are always stable.
I think the main issue is the outdated way the mod works and it impacts a lot of performance. From what I researched, Nevada mod runs a bunch of scripts every frane (about 20 scripts consistently) and it can majorly impact performance for a lot of people's PC's, especially older ones. I definitely noticed when I couldn't get past 100 FPS on my Nvidia 3060. Most of the features on Nevada have actually been ported out as single, more modern mods that work much better, increasing performance greatly.
You can play fallout new Vegas on mobile Exegear Just need mid tier phone with snapdragon 855 or higher Gpu requirements for gpu is 500mhz And that snapdragon has 585mhz You need 2 core 2.0ghz and that snapdragon has more then enough And 2gb of ram and low tier phones Have 4gb ram easy

Its far easier to use, and already has everything like LOOT built into it. Fully automated making it easier and safer to plug and play. It also uses RULES to sort what should load first instead of having to micromanage everything like MO2
Number 4: FCO - This was a great overhaul for its time, but there has been far superior mods released since then that are far more lightweight and don't screw with your saves and doesn't cause so many errors like FCO can.
Number 5: More Perks - Sounds great on paper, but the execution of this mod is loaded with errors that was never fixed by the author. Don't use.
Number 6: Weapon Mods Expanded: another mod that was awesome at the time but is loaded with problems that will conflict with just about everything. I recommend at alternatives that uses scripts
Number 7: NMC texture pack - This mod is a save game buster. It will bloat your saves and contribute to crashes. Because of the RAM issues already present in Vegas, this mod amplifies that existing problem to an extreme degree. Don't download.
Nevada Skies should be ok in theory, but be mindful of the community on how to install this correctly without conflicts.
Anti Crash is a MUST
Mod Configuration Menu is a hard requirement.
Is it worth trying out for a new play through? And if it isn’t is there anything similar that’s worth trying?
Well you know if you could link an alternative to it that would be really cool
Is there anything better though? I've never found another Perk mod thats as comprehensive and doesn't feel game breaking.
@@RyanSaotome Look at Viva New Vegas for more detail
@@superbattledroidposting late reply, but here you go
Nice job on the achievement during the first mod
What I didn't expect was to learn that Project Nevada had "fallen out of grace", so to speak
Last time I reinstalled/modded NV was during the pandemic lockdown, and PN was still a must have for me, at least
a lot has come out since then, i just recently came back after a hiatus myself and there is just so much to check out. but yeah, over time mods can NOT age very good if they are not maintained, as they can become incompatible with newer mods or even worse, cause issues to your game that would force you to remove it.
Surprised not to see Weapons of the New Millenia here. But it makes sense if this is based on number of downloads
Should have been called "Top 10 most downloaded New Vegas mods of all time"
If you want good overhauls, check out Dragbody's faction overhaul mods on GUN, which I believe is Gamers Underground Network, but yeah, dragbody has the *best* faction overhauls, hands-down, and coupling that with Fallout character overhaul is a must
I hope we consol users will be able to use mods for new vegas
I actually prefer fallout 3 and New Vegas graphics than for fallout 4. It just feels like a fallout game. It matches the theme very well in my opinion.
I agree, the newer ones look too good? If that makes any sense, just doesn’t feel like falloitnto me
Finally some mod videos.
Check out degenerate dak if you want some up to date mod videos.
@@Raygeing Thank you for suggestion (degenerate dak).
Also recommend you to use Viva New Vegas if you're gonna mod New Vegas
Gotta be honest. I know it's the post war nevada desert and all. But those overhauled faces are more horrifying than a fiend on a psycho binge.
Keep up the Great Fallout New Vegas videos!
Thanks! Playing New Vegas for the 1st time ever and i am already excited for my modded 2nd run
6:05 Oh look, [Joshua] Tomar, it's you.
From my perspective, I think more perks were shocking
Just bought the game again on Steam and it's downloading right now, this videos will be very useful!
DO NOT. USE Viva New Vegas instead
@@emperorcokelord1021 thank you for the heads up friend
@@mister_anomaly Np. Most of them are outdated so the posts would direct you to modern alternative that are better than it
“The NCR mod” on Moddb is very good if you want to do an NCR playthrough, but you find the content lacking
New Vegas Tick Fix > New Vegas Anti Crash
Both is good
That texture pack look a bit too oversaturated.. Its way too pop for me
For the enclave has left the chat 🥺
during the character overhaul i almost had a hard attack from easy pete
That easy Pete face is going to give me nightmares
10:31 that cut
This was a really good video, very comprehensive and helpful
good Segway to an ad but you can play fallout new Vegas on your phone
17:10 I love the t bag
For me someguy2000 mods will always be my favorites, it deserves to be in top 10 imo
Ngl, I don't hate most of these mobile sponsors! Some of them don't look bad tbh lol
I never stopped playing NV
long as there is a community adding content, i cant see anyone stopping playing.
PSA: AVOID Project Nevada
It’ll brick your saves. It’s a poorly made mod!
Also NVAC, doesn’t prevent crashes it ignores them.
i dont wanna play runescape genshin impact i wanna play fallout
You can play fallout new Vegas on mobile
Exegear
Just need mid tier phone with snapdragon 855 or higher
Gpu requirements for gpu is 500mhz
And that snapdragon has 585mhz
You need 2 core 2.0ghz and that snapdragon has more then enough
And 2gb of ram and low tier phones
Have 4gb ram easy
Which one can stop crashes and freezes it's annoying
honestly, you want all of the stability mods pretty much. i have many of them and between them i rarely crash at all. mostly there are certain locations that are still pretty unstable, such as Gomorrah.
You should do an updated list for mods for ttw
Face overhaul looks way too goody for me to consider downloading it
Commenting for UA-cam algorithm. Keep up the good vids!
10:30 editing mistake tee hee
At this point the modding community might as well be considered a part of the development team
I havent watched the full video yet but im expecting to see bnb on here i wouldent be surprised
İ just started playing Vegas your mods helped me soooo much (i had to remove filter it made my head dizzy don't know why)
Still sink hundreds of hours into modded nv
nice timestamps bro
Hey Juice just wanted to let you know there's a typo in the title. Not a big deal, just know I'd like to catch it early if this was my video. Keep up the great work, cheers!
Nice nice nice, just in time, playing New Vegas once again :D
New Vegas still has so many crazy bugs but unlike Cyberpunk it cannot be killed by them... *_It is only made stronger_*
Cyberpunk is still alive 👀
I think New vegas will be alive and well 10 years later
Nice just got ultimate edition after all this time imma use this
I wouldn’t use these as these are heavily outdated and WILL mess up your load order, i recommend using Viva New Vegas. It’s the most up to date and will help you avoid hours of configuration

Over a 1000 hours in New Vegas, never crashed, actually my PC never crashes with games, and it's 13 years old. Even games like Guild Wars that crashes my friends Gaming Beast PC's, didn't happen with mine. Guess I'm lucky with it like that.
