Thank you. We just got back and I couldn't get my daughter to go down it. We rode Blue Steel, Dickies, Powerline, Snow Forest, Fall Line instead. I wanted to try and ride the entire thing without pedaling.
I think I finally saw the trail when I was looking back at the footage from our most recent trip. It's barely visible at 4:23 on this clip. In my raw footage it's easier to spot. I'll check it out this week. Thanks again for the information :)
@@MTBMOR yes sir thats an old hike a bike trail system they use to race off that back in the day. We should meet up and ride some of these trails man. have to go out further west on skyline lots of really cool trails out there
@@ZZ-zu9nc I would love to. DM me on instagram and we can talk more about it. Unfortunately my summer is over so I'm only up there if I can find a weekend without other things being scheduled.
Hi 👋 I'm new to Bike Riding and looking to go to Big Bear for trail riding.. what is Going Green and do I have to take a lift to get up to the top ?? 🤔🤔🤔 TIA
Going Green is a run in the Snow Summit Bike Park. If you want to ride it or Turtle Trail you need a lift ticket. You can pedal and ride Skyline, Fall line, Fern Trail, Plantation, and Pine Knot for free. There is also another free area called Maple Springs which is in the city near Sugar Loaf. Don't quote me on the name. I have videos for Fall Line and I think Fern Trail. I have planned on posting Skyline, but I haven't done it yet. Usually, I have a better video in mind when I return. Because of the fires, I am hearing Skyline and Fall Line are closed.
Nice, i washed out on going green last week on my first run. Got too excited, loosey goosey, and my tires weren't that great. But still had a great time.
That's great about having so much fun. It is really hard to hold back on the first run, but many people crash because they are having a little too much fun.
I am pretty sure you are supposed to pay for the lift, but there are many entrances off coyote road if you dare. I actually have footage for them for a video, but I just need to edit it. We use them all the time and at least one of them has a sign to help you find it. If you can pedal up to the top Skyline is a great trail.
@@loganesperti You're welcome. You can make a nice loop pedaling up Pine Knot and down Cabin 89 or up Plantation and down Skyline ....just ideas... if you have kids at Snow Summit, then pedaling out Old Towne or over to Fern are your best options.
Yes, it is usually that way. I recommend heading over to coyote rd near the top and then rejoining Go Green later down the road if you want a smoother ride. Or, go the other direction and take pirates to skyline to fern. For a bigger trail, Going Green is rough
Beautiful, beautiful ride.
Yes it is, thanks for the comment
Good footage!
The kids loved going green!

At 4:20 in that bank turn the hidden entrance to dickies trl. Hopefully that helps you find it
Thanks, I've seen where it meets Coyote. I was going to pedal the other direction the next time I was there to find it. Maybe I won't have to...TY

Have you found the trail lower off Going Green that takes you to where Going Green meets Old Towne?

Nice video I am going there soon
It is so much fun using the lift. Now the top is open for lunch and that is an added bonus.
MTB MOR it sounds really fun 🤙
Looks like a blast
It is....We rode Fern Trail, Skyline, Trick or Treat, Miracle Mile, Turtle, Powerline and more this past week... and I am ready to go back
Bumped into you guys on Going Green labor day weekend! W hat are the odds! Keep on ridin'!
SICK!! That was a great day. Great to hear from you! Hopefully Summit will stay open and it can happen again :)

Thanks for the link for the broken spoke repair. I am always worried about something braking when I am on a long ride.
You are welcome. I am always learning
Thanks for the comment, can definitely ride GG on a hardtail.
Thats how I started riding Summit back when the park was closed off...on a hardtail and much slower.
can you ride up on another trail outside the park and do going green or do you have to pay for the lift?

@@MTBMOR Thanks! That's what I was thinking. Don't want to pay for the lift for one trail.

@@MTBMOR Awesome! Thanks for the info. I'll definitely hit you up. It looks like we're both in the southern California area.
Going green in 2020 the last time I went was rlly bumpy
