My friend was planning to buy a car so we went to many showrooms including citroen. We thoroughly checked the cars, no youtuber will cover these: 1) Believe me the plastic that is used in the car is so cheap (even Alto base model has better plastics) it feels like its made for 3rd world countries like african nations. 2) Gear is so tight that it feels like a tractor. 3) Engine noise is too much compared to other brands, even you can hear it inside cabin with all the windows closed. 4) When we 2 friends took our rear seat, 3rd friend outside the car noticed that the car went toooooo much down compared to other brands. 5) We tested the speakers, they are not good even much cheaper alto has better speakers. 6) Safety and build quality(it was never there). When you will take a test drive or own these, you will feel good until you compare it to the same segment or even lower segment other brand's cars.
Everything is a fair point and i agree. I own the C3 Turbo and There is nothing like it in the market and the service has been nothing short of amazing. idk about others but i'd rather have a well performing rare car than a bunch of cars that are like computers with 4 wheels. I bought the C5 in Dec 2021, done 40k kms , I can tell without a doubt that this car is definitely worth the price tag. I am very happy with the car. In India, customers prefer cars with lot of features than a solid well engineered car...

Citroen needs to up their marketing and expand their service network. Then they will surely do better. The new C3 shine turbo MT DT variant seems to be more vfm than the Punch IRA MT DT variant. It solves the "lack of features" issue that the C3 had. It offers all the necessary features but gives you the power of a turbo petrol. I hope that C3 will see a jump in sales because of this variant.
You seem to be a Maruti fan, how come you show Tiago fuli hui gaadi into Nexon? Both are completely different products. If you want to say fuli hui hatchback to SUV, you should say about Fronx.
You are spot on. Citroen has very less features when compared to others. That is the reason why people are not preferring it. Also if you have arrived and left twice how people will have cofidence on the brand? What did they learn about the Indian market when they are coming for the third time? Nothing.
You need to first see the interview with Citreon MD Recently in autoexpo.. They are pretty happy with selling 9000 cars in their first year in India... Their plan is slow and steady growth with a long time emphasis... Citreon as such is not a mass market based product world over.. they have a niche crowd.. i think in the future .. they would be fine if they can sell around 40 - 50 k cars a year in inda..

Excellent espisode and good analysis. French car makers have always failed in India, for mainly 2 reasons: 1. They dont fully invest in their Dealership. 2. They are still stuck in the 1930's look and feel and think global audience will like their french taste.. ( I feel Indian Car buyers are very savy of the look and feeel of the car). Also, Service is very important aspect, even a brand like Tata fails today not because they dont have a good car, their service is not par with other Korean and Japanese makers. I think Tata has really played a game changing role with their new models and better quality. I always wonder and appreciate how KIA enterted and captured the market so fast. Even in the US, I see a lot of KIA brands on the raod.
People who are Car Rally enthusiasts will definitely own a Citroen if they can. Its a big brand in Europe where Rally circuit is huge and Citroen is the leader. Just took a test drive of citreon c3 NA, the showroom person took me to a rough offroad patch, and i had my friend who owns a fortuner and he wasnt able to believe the suspension in action, he told me its giving him a feel of driving fortuner, that alone made my day and i have chosen to go ahead with citreon c3 NA. I tried the c3 aircross turbo too , its comparable to fortuner in terms of comfort for sure. 13.5L car is giving a tough competition for 50L SUV cars
Honestly I would rather chose a car with less sensors and features that depend highly on sensors as malfunctioning of any single sensor can prevent you from using or starting the car. Moreover all the basic and much needed features are carefully provided by citreon
The problem with the company is that the started to sell their car in a segment where buys are less entry to indian market with a wrong product which makes them a difficult point to built a trust in a new place and not bring the right product at a right price tag with features is also a negative to the company’s portfolio
Citroen treating Indian car market same as African and Latin American car market which is not same Indians love features on their cars . Koreans and Japanese offers better features
The main concern is how long they will be making it in India? A general feeling Citroen will Exit India as GM, Mitsubishi, Fiat, Ford did in the past. However Kia being a Hyundai company people are more comfortable with their long production in India
Kia & MG became successful because they entered India market with ground breaking feature car at affordable pricing of their time and they created space for themselves in heart of Indian customers.
Isme na to power hai na hi features. I went to see the car and considered it to be an option. When AC was on, it was so difficult to pickup on a minor slope, I had to turn off AC to move. Eventually bought i20
Apart from features One more point. Size does matter. C5 looks smaller compare to its rivals at given price tag.Same goes with C3 hatch. C3 aircross is in the market now and it's looks bigger as rivals but Citroen has to put lot of efforts as this product can be game changer. In Mumbai suburban area Citroen dealership is not able to test drive at home from last 2 month. With such response from delarship what brand value will be gained?
Cousin owns C3 Shine. Nice car. For Indians, when choosing a car, style and driving dynamics rank much lower than 'features'. Plus, their marketing is poor. That's why Citroen sales is poor. But with more model, they will improve. I think if there was a automatic version of C3, sales would have been more. The C5 aircross is in a tough segment. Renault is not doing bad. In 2022, sold 87k units. It is too early to say French cars are failures in India.
C3 is stable in 140km/h speed also and drove more than 10k in just 4 months, very stable vehicle.... but poor outlet and dealers network i would like to know who is market head of Citroen in India? i really worried best puppy is not sold, but other manufactures are selling pappads like car.

Citreon will never exit... They got a gigantic plant in India which mainly exports to latin America...and they make profits by selling engines... Not cars ☝🏻️
@@athuldominicalthough, your comment sounds sensible, guess what happened to Fiat in India?
I remember seeing Citroen in WRC as a kid... C3, C4, Xsara driven by Leob and Sordo... Domination and race wins...sad to see such a capable brand being identified by some aircross. What the world has come to...same case with Mitsubishi
Even Renault dominates WrC and F1 however when it comes to India consumer market, people just won't give the same value to Renault.
😢 me too bro..
I bought Citroen C3. Very very satisfying experience in driving it because of its comfort. The comparison is irrational as Citroen has very few dealers. But it's catching up...which is making competitors nervous esp Korean companies and Maruthi looks like
Citroen is a new entrant in a highly competitive market, unlike Hyundai which is more than 25 years operational in India. I am certain Citroen has a robust strategy for India. I believe for the price you are paying, it's bang for the buck. I think this UA-cam channel is comparing apples with oranges and needs to redefine his logic of this video.
People in India are unlikely to purchase anything that they can't pronounce 😅
0:30 Kia is not new brand, everyone knew it's just sister brand of Hyundai with premium target audience.
I went to La Masion Citroën Bhubaneshwar for C3, but the problem was lack of AMT version! Had to buy Kiger from French car maker Renault!! Many customer were disappointed that they don't sell AMT cars.
Amt not that good but a cvt Or tc they shud definitely give. Kiger is a great buy, absolute value for money!!! 👌👍

My friend was planning to buy a car so we went to many showrooms including citroen. We thoroughly checked the cars, no youtuber will cover these:
1) Believe me the plastic that is used in the car is so cheap (even Alto base model has better plastics) it feels like its made for 3rd world countries like african nations.
Thats just me.
Nice analysis btw.
How was the service experience?!..and where are you located
I brought C3.. I am satisfied with perfomance comapre to other same segment cars.. Reason for slow sale poor marketting strategy and they mainly focused on engerneering not features. Also they are confused about indian customers pulse .. I am sure they will get a good space with in 3 years..
Honestly these Korean brands have ruined our market
Fortuner ex showroom is 36lacs. Where as Jeep compass ex showroom basemodel is 21lacs. Difference is 15lacs
A d mg hector base model ex showroom is about 19-20lacs.
I bought the C5 in Dec 2021, done 40k kms , I can tell without a doubt that this car is definitely worth the price tag. I am very happy with the car.
In India, customers prefer cars with lot of features than a solid well engineered car...
most of the features are useless and only for showoff to their Neighbours and and relatives🤣🤣🤣
Wrong. The cars arent even safe. C3 got 0 star in ncaap.
@@SurajSinghTomarArya Don't compare Apple to Watermelon. C3 and C5 are very different, C5 is CKD ...
Citroen cars are great and long lasting. I own one with 170k km, still looks and works like new
6:30 Har fulli hui hatchback SUV nahi hoti, and you show Tata Nexon, iska matlab aap kehna kya chahte ho? Ki Nexon ek Fulli hui hatchback hatch back hai? Please clear the confusion.
Yes
Citroen needs to up their marketing and expand their service network. Then they will surely do better. The new C3 shine turbo MT DT variant seems to be more vfm than the Punch IRA MT DT variant. It solves the "lack of features" issue that the C3 had. It offers all the necessary features but gives you the power of a turbo petrol. I hope that C3 will see a jump in sales because of this variant.
this is same price as sonet htx plus...
@@hacksgeekCitroen much better, is european brand with great history
You seem to be a Maruti fan, how come you show Tiago fuli hui gaadi into Nexon? Both are completely different products. If you want to say fuli hui hatchback to SUV, you should say about Fronx.
I think you make videos on current and relevant topics which is really good
You are spot on.
Citreon as such is not a mass market based product world over.. they have a niche crowd.. i think in the future .. they would be fine if they can sell around 40 - 50 k cars a year in inda..
niche crowd? lmao
If i would like to choose my gift between citreon c3 aircross vs kia seltos i will pick citreon ,,, C3 aircross is extremely great in terms of performance and ride quality
Bro ignis has 5.5 J alloys the maximum recommended width for the rim is 185 only while it can take 195 sections, 205 is a bit of a stretch…the tyres would bulge out…you also have a section showcasing the problem in fitting the tyre…how are the 195 tyres performing? Any noise or wear seen?
Tata meme, फूली हुई हैचबैक 😂
Btw I love tata, but good one 👌
I called in Citroen Bengaluru 2-3 times, but no one responded. 4th time got response from Mumbai or Gurgaon sales department and ensure for test drive will be provided by Bangalore dealer but after that talk never got a call again. If the sales department itself is grey then how customer will think about service?

The new citreon 7 seater suv is going bring yet another big revolution in the Indian market, specially in-terms of "price-size ratio" after Mahindra Xuv700

Etna badiya analysis hamne kam hi suna hai. Aap sirf aur sirf jarurat ki baat karte ho, dayen bayen baatein nahi karte ho. Excellent, your analysis why this company is unable to sell their car is brilliant. Citroën should listen to you closely & act accordingly. Then they can reach the limit. Boss you are too good. 👏👏👏
The c3 aircross too will fail. It doesn't have a automatic that's a must for car buyers now, and people spending upwards of 12 lacs want a automatic
I love manual, more reliable
Citroen is not doing well as they can
0;44 why is force's sell number so low? they make small vehicles unlike isuzu
People who are Car Rally enthusiasts will definitely own a Citroen if they can. Its a big brand in Europe where Rally circuit is huge and Citroen is the leader. However in India car rallies are rare and nobody knows it or other rally brands so no one follows it. It will be very difficult for Citroen to get a foot hold in India.
Your pronunciation of cietron is wrong to start with. That's the first reason why people don't buy it. Its ceee tron. Not cetroin.

Indian audience is feature driven rather than quality, and general Crossovers vehicles are considered as SUVs based on the looks only.
What is your opinion on Nissan future in India. They have only one product Magnite and it's value for Money but is it worth buying considering the Nissan future in India?
9:00 That last row seats are just a showoff in a c3 not even kids can sit comfortable there🤣🤣. Lol new gen station wagon
I have c3. And here are the list which i was ready to compromise on but an average indian won’t
1) Reverse parking camera
2) Powered windows
3) Fog lights
The infotainment system is also very buggy
But why is it worth it?
1) The best suspension till 15 Lakh
2) Visibility is superb
3) Overall comfort is top notch
Great cars and long lasting.
Hai, what will be the cost and dimension of citroen c3 aircross. Is it will be bigger then c3. Pl suggests if any info is available
Price is the only issue C5 is damn expensive and C3 is inexpensive, but it lags behind in safety and other features when compared to punch!
Again a nice video bro. I always wait for your post so the bell icon is not relevant for me 😅👍🏻
Citroen C3 ki sales aaram se badh jaegi agar automatic transmission de de. Major city me ye car everyday office employee ko target karni chahiye. Cost 1-2 lakh badh jaega but India me aajkal price koi nahi dekh raha.
How are they underselling?
The growth rate as per the table that u showed at 0.44 is 580 percent which is the highest compared to anyother car company from 2021.
I will be honest. Citroen looks stale infront of a KIA.
KIA gives off that Jeep vibe which Citroen lacks
Citreon c3 is best car in this segment and price... I hope citreon will survive in india..
We are ready to buy, but the thing is to maintenance petrol is costly than CNG diesel or hybrid. We don't bother about cost but we want cheaper to maintain
Good petrol engine is much cheaper to maintain than diesel

Nice video.....also would like to add a couple of points...1)Cars are now coming with sunroofs and ventilated seats 2) price and after sales services is very important....if you don't have these then don't expect much sales
Duster is a European car but failed, its not because of vehicle ita because of management and price...
Could you please make a video on quality controls of major car brands. Im seeing a lot of people are complaining about the paint quality, rust, fit and finish issues, panel gaps, paint thickness, sheet metal thickness etc. Sadly not one youtuber is talking about it despite of all the customers having problems due to manufacture cheapening out or simoly bad quality control.
Overall feel good factor lacking along with touch of premium feel, and visibility on road with good marketing, all it takes is just little bit extra effort to reach masses..
I wanted to buy C3 there were having home test ride option waited almost 3 weeks.... the company did not made any calls.. so went with punch
Mazza aagya....awesome content❤
Quality Content, as usual. Have seen all of your videos so far
Very mature content.. keep it up buddy... best wishes.

I still remember when Peugeot 309 was launched in India and I used to spot them on Indian roads but suddenly they disappeared. 😢
Isme na to power hai na hi features. I went to see the car and considered it to be an option. When AC was on, it was so difficult to pickup on a minor slope, I had to turn off AC to move. Eventually bought i20

The best channel in India in regards to automobiles ...
Reasons why Citron cars aren't considered in India :
High price with less features.
Wrong segmet.
Styling.
After sell services.
At last logo😂.
0:45 chart mai Hyundai ka kuch Jayada sales na dikha Rha ??😅
Cousin owns C3 Shine. Nice car. For Indians, when choosing a car, style and driving dynamics rank much lower than 'features'. Plus, their marketing is poor. That's why Citroen sales is poor. But with more model, they will improve. I think if there was a automatic version of C3, sales would have been more. The C5 aircross is in a tough segment. Renault is not doing bad. In 2022, sold 87k units. It is too early to say French cars are failures in India.
I will happily buy a Citroen but I'm just worried after how Ford and other brands left.. where would I go for the spares and repairs.
Citroen will not leave India, they count on India for the future
C3 is stable in 140km/h speed also and drove more than 10k in just 4 months, very stable vehicle.... but poor outlet and dealers network
i would like to know who is market head of Citroen in India? i really worried best puppy is not sold, but other manufactures are selling pappads like car.
