Senator Organa stealing a shipment of U-Wings has the real life equivalent vibe of chop crews stealing fleets from car dealerships
This is by far one of my all time favorite ships!!!
It is pretty cool, no doubt about it!
Some interesting trivia, the first U-Wing was designated "J.R."
That's right, the J.R. U-wing.
Haha...a Throwback to the days of Dallas. Probably not a lot of these cats are gonna catch that one, but I really liked it.
Was impressed with this ship when I first saw it. I'm not a big fan of that movie but I really like this design alot. Definitely feels like a star wars ship!
It definitely gives off a strong x-wing vibe, no doubt! I think that's one of the biggest reasons they went with the central cockpit and rotating s-foil wings. Not gonna lie, I wish more of the sequel trilogy movies did this instead of just slapping a fresh coat of paint on an old ship and saying it has new systems. There was so much potential for new ideas while still maintaining the familiarity of the other movies!
@@hyperspacedatabase definitely agree with that! They had an opportunity to introduce a ton of new ships but they didn't do it. Still, I think they hit a home run with this one.
Good one Jonsey! Precise and Thorough. Well done.
Thank you! Much appreciated!
I’d like to see a video of all the different Mandalorian ships. How they all have the same look but are at least 3, maybe 4 different sizes.
I did one on the gauntlet fighter, that's a good one to check out!
I love the Rebel U Wing Starfighter and the Imperial Zeta Cargo Shuttle from Star Wars: Rogue One (movie).
Just picked up the SW galaxy squadron U Wing. It's dope
Sweet! That's awesome!
The X83, u-wing and stealth x are favorite wing ships.
1:10 what game[s] are shown here and just before when the U-Wing was in space?
I’d like to know so I could play
This is from the multi-player dlc for the new EA starwars battlefront game.
0:26 what game[s] are shown here, and just after when shooting from the door cannon?
I’d like to know so I could play
1:25 like here. What game is this?
That's the new EA Battlefront game.
And now I'm wondering what it would've been like if just one of these survived into the Original Trilogy. I doubt it would have survived at Yavin. On Hoth it probably could've been helpful against the AT-AT invasion. As for Endor, maybe to drop troops off to support Han's team?
Any critiques of my theories?
Good observations! Endor is tricky with all those trees, hence the beach landings on Scarif, but I think it would have been very effective in those other battles!
@@hyperspacedatabase oh, right. Hadn't thought of the tree issue. The dedicated and improvised landing zones would've been Imperial territory, huh.
@@hyperspacedatabase now that I think about it, a U-Wing probably would've helped draw fire at Yavin. If it could fit the trench and boost its rear shields, it would've provided better cover for the bombers.
@@konstellashon1364 Yeah, I could see that!
epic poggers
the U wing is 79 ft long!?!?! what are you smoking?
You'd have to ask the guys who designed it. Those are their specs I listed.
@@hyperspacedatabase I apologize, I read that as "79 meters". On my second watch, I saw my mistake. Again, I apologize
@@VaughnKing lol, no worries. That would be extremely long indeed!
