    Our dive watch, which is water-resistant to a depth of 200 meters, takes its name from one of the last marvels of Venetian naval technology, the Nereide submarine. This timepiece is in fact designed to withstand strong stresses, making it particularly suitable for those who practice water sports.

    Thanks for the nice review, you touched on all points that made me order one. MOP is a bit of a risqué choice for me, but it looks so nice that I could not resist. The tungsten bezel and the design are great, too. I am glad it is a 39mm, I top out at about 41 mm watches with my 6.5 in wrist.

    I prefer old MV Nereide design. Have more class. Especially in version 3.0. Swiss Made, nice movement (STP, Landeron or SW330), better quality crystal, leather strap, and case feeling.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Місяць тому +1

      You can also get the Tungsten in 42mm with a SW200 movement PS the crystal should be the same sapphire

      @@ClickSpringReview It’s not. Venezianico use flat crystal.
      MV 3.0 have double domed AR crystal - very beautiful, quality leather straps and unique case design and finish.
      I had MV 3.0, 4.0 (not swiss made), then Venezianico. I would always pick 3.0 Nereide. Different class really.

      @@ClickSpringReview This is 2.0. This was the worst version, with many QC issues.
      3.0 vs 2.0:
      - New “Maxi-Case”
      - New Crown
      - New Bezel Grooves
      - New Bezel Setting for Insert
      - New Bezel Lume Pip
      - New Screw in Exhibition Case-back
      - New STP 1-11\Landeron\SW 330 based Movement depends on model
      - New Font Matching Date Wheel
      - New Hour and Minute Hands
      - New Font Colour and much better execution of colour dial.
      I found few 3.0 on ebay for around 1000-1300 pounds.

    Overall is a good watch. It may direct comparable to my new Tissot Seastar 1000 T 40 mm Powermatic because they are at the same price point. For beauty, they are equal. The Venezianico is win on the Tungsten bezel. The Tissot is win on power reserve which is at 80 hour and water resistance at 300 m. But subject to your choice. Someone doesn't care the power reserve. Another competitor is the Seiko SBP143 (62MAS) . It is around HKD 8000 in Hong Kong and may be HKD 7000 after discount in Hong Kong. Almost at the same price.
    Venezianico do have a dealer in Hong Kong but I wonder they have a service center in Hong Kong. But Tissot and Seiko are surely have. Thank you.

      One advantage of the Miyota movement over the others is it beats at 8bps over the 6 of the other 2 brands and it is also available in 42mm with a SW200-1 movement both of which can be serviced by any watch maker Sir

    The mirror like bezel is a deal breaker for me. I'm referring to the reflection. It takes away from the dial.

      I bought a couple now.. I’m not grabbing the bezel all the time or anything so stays pretty clean. It draws attention for sure but some watches that’s what it’s about.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Місяць тому +1

      The bezel most of the time looks black

    First glance I thought it was an Oris Aquis (Great Barrier Reef) with longer, more traditional lugs. It's a little too shinny for me as is but If it comes with high quality rubber/silicone band for $100ish less I definitely would buy it just for the gorgeous dial.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Місяць тому

      Yeah that could work 👍🏻, I did like it on the blue rubber Nato strap (5:25) or even a white silicone for the summer

    That dial is lovely and should be the star of the show but possibly the bezel insert is a bit overpowering- a matt insert might have made the dial pop more- I feel when everything is shimmering it gives the watch a cheaper look 🤷

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Місяць тому

      I see what your saying and I guess they could of used a ceramic insert but like the dial the bezel constantly changes colour its self and I sort of like it :)

    What do you think about the movement? I am surprised because the watch is quite cheap for high level of polishing and this beautiful dial

      Have to say its been typing good time (with COSC specs) so my one bring really good, if I was being picky the bracelet feels a little thin but for the price its great

      @danieldelariva4653 Місяць тому +1

      @@ClickSpringReview I was impressed by the thickness also! I love thin watches but usually I have to pay much more when there’s an automatic movement. That is for the great reviews. I will definitely check this watch when I go to Europe. Sadly, no dealers around my country

    Bad thing about tungsten is if you drop it it could shatter

    Hi Barry - great review and a great looking watch. Do you know how tungsten wears over time? Is it pretty scratch resistant?

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Місяць тому

      On the hardness scale its 9 which is the same as ceramic I believe, so should be pretty scratch resistant but only time will tell

    Hi Barry, I haven't heard of this brand before. This watch looks good, Miyota movements have a good reputation and the size is spot on.
    I'd be interested to know where and by whom the watch is built: I'd certainly need to know before parting with any cash... Have a good week Barry, LG Bob 🍻

    Is this considered a micro-brand watch? Haven’t seen this brand before. I’m seeing $765 US Dollars, the watch is gorgeous with the mother of pearl dial. Personally I prefer dive watches made in Titanium for case and bracelet. Just to give some feedback, I feel the watch market getting saturated with dive watches. For me I only need one or two dive watches that cover 200mm.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  Місяць тому +1

      Yeah I guess you would call them that, I know what you mean about dive watches as they are the go to for many brands, this one being only just over 10mm feels far more compact than many others but it would be interesting to see them make a dress watch of it
