4:11 I would never have expected to actually see one of my own signs in a FitMC video,
To give some context: I am just a random player unaffiliated to any repair groups. When I decided to travel the canal, I found this part to be completely dry, forcing me to walk for a few thousand blocks. Since I had nothing better to do, I set up this sign and started to fill the dry line with water. I made the raft tour because I am just a single casual player who lacks the skills or time to fully fill the canal. I literally just filled a bunch of buckets and dropped the water each few blocks.
The sign is outdated since I haven't logged into 2B2T for a while due to not having time often. But one day I plan to return and will probably try to fill that portion out a little bit more.
Happy to hear you had fun with the band-aid I put on.
    - TheLate
Edit: Wow, thanks for all the likes and comments.
I am aware that a single person is claiming I am fake. I only have to say this: If you go to the official discord server for 2B2T, there is a channel where you can ask a bot for stats about specific players. Typing in commmands like "!seen TheLate" or "!stats TheLate" will quickly prove that I exist, that I died 23 times so far, and that I haven't logged into the server for over a month.
Also I am not affiliated with a group called TheLate. My username in Minecraft is a joke about how I only started playing the game in 2018, thus very late after the game got big.

1.keep dying until you find water

You could be making videos of griefing these bases, you could be making videos exposing base locations, etc. But instead you present us with purely exploratory content, and that's my favorite thing about you. Thanks for the good stuff

It's fantastic that you take it upon yourself to documentthese aspects of 2b2t. As someone who's not a fan of griefing, I also thrilled to see that you found some intact things! Though there is something poetic about that nothing lasts forever

When crafting anything on 2b2t, it is always with the expectation that it will not last forever. It is a conscious choice to show off your design in a world that will destroy it as soon as possible. With that in mind, I think speeding up the inevitable is a worthwhile cost for documenting and immortalizing the builds and history of the server.

An old friend of mine created a build near to one of the old highways in 2B2T. It was a giant, quadruple layered obsidian bunker at least 400 thousand blocks away from spawn.
It was called the Bioharzard Bunker Weekly to my knowledge and was around 200-200 blocks in length (a perfect square of obsidian underground) filled with all necessities to help new players looking to travel said highway to the very end.
He would go on weekly to make sure that the bunker was never griefed but that was over five years ago. No idea if it’s still there.

In it they talk about entire cities and civilizations deep within the jungle all connected by the river for trade and navigation. This Southern Canal video really reminded me of that book and those expeditions, seeing all the destroyed ruins and newly constructed bases was really cool to see.
